About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Lucidview0 contributionsGreat experience with MachPicchu.CenterExcellent communication and coordination of our tours by MachPicchu.Center. Very knowledgeable guides. Highly recommend.Written 9 October 2024
- 375mahmoudg0 contributionsGreat service.Machu Picchu Center is an excellent source for travel services in Peru. We needed early morning tickets for Machu Picchu and the official site as well as several other sites were indicating that only limited afternoon tickets were available. Machu Picchu Center provided all necessary information and to our disbelief were able to get us 8:00 am tickets. We received our tickets online in the US and today visited Machu Picchu thanks to MPC. Great, reliable service.Written 1 October 2024

- Resort243853364950 contributionsNeed to be proactive before tour starts, but amazing experienceMy friend and I took a BFF trip to Peru and took the two day Humantay Lake and Salkantay Pass hike with a glass igloo stay. I had to be proactive in confirming our pick up the day before the tour (which ended up changing to meeting at their office vs picking us up). Our guide wasn’t quite fluent in English, but between his broken English and our some what limited understanding of Spanish, we were able to make it through. There were only three people that signed up for this tour so we were often combined with other groups. We hiked to Humantay Lake with those there for the one day and we shared meals at sky camp with those there for the 5 day Salkantay hike. Our guide often checked in with us and would take all of our photos. The stay at the igloo was the icing on the cake! They included the sleeping bags and liner which was nice. The views were spectacular! There were bathrooms just a short walk away. We met some great people along the way during our travels. I will say when it was time to drive back to Cusco, the van didn’t have a/c so it was quite warm and stuffy especially sitting in the way back. But despite those set backs, the experience was truly one of a kind!Written 2 September 2024
- mohitgarg2650 contributionsGenuine and easyThe official Machu Picchu website is very slow, unstable, and difficult to use. Hence, I decided to use this operator for the ticket. I was worried till the last min about it being a fake website and me getting denied entry right at the gate. Thankfully, that didn't happen. The operators are genuine and very easy to navigate.Written 24 August 2024
- tranman77770 contributionsUnforgettable experience!I want to thank Francisco at Machu Pichu Center. He was very responsive and professionall and helpful with all the questions I had. And I had a lot of questions. Thank you for recommending which circuit to take. We bought our entry tickets, bus ride to entrance and taxi ride to airport all from Machu Pichu center. It's a one stop shop! Very convenient, trustworthy and affordable. I'm also grateful that Machu Pichu center had tickets available as the official government website was sold out. Thank you!Written 20 August 2024
- louiville70 contributionsA lot of effort for stunning viewsWe had a tour cancelled and had a nightmare trying to get to Machu Picchu from England. Thankfully, we found a local tour company in Cusco that helped us get tickets from the local 1000-per-day tickets that are offered by the council. Once you arrive from PeruRail to Aguas Calientes it is a race to get to the official entrance ticket office to wait for around an hour to get a number to come back in the evening to get your tickets. Aguas Calientes and Cusco are beautiful and well worth spending time to visit. You get a bus to Machu Picchu and then make your way up for what are magical views. The altitude can be very hard to deal with depending on your body. Circuit 1 can go by very quickly, but if you are struggling with the altitude it will be enough time. Circuit 2 provides an entrance to the village that we did not get. It is a lot of preparation and effort to get there and it takes more time than you are at Machu Picchu, but it is worth it for the stunning views.Written 18 August 2024
- T3662WYrobertc0 contributionsA mind blowing experience. Our tour of Machu Picchu was awesome and we got a ton of fantastic photos. Highly recommend you find a tour guide, ours was very knowledgeable about Machu Picchu. The bus ride up and down the mountain was quick and the operation was well organized.Written 17 August 2024
- glennr4810 contributionsMachu Picchu is a neat experience demanding some preparation and acclimatization.Incredible experience. I'm amazed the Incas could create this little city without metals or the wheel 500 years ago high in the Andes. Tickets are timed and entrance requires your passport.Written 12 August 2024
- markrY7477EG0 contributionsGreat GuideAlthough not required for Machu Picchu we decided to get a personal guide. This was the best decision we made. Our guide Christian was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. We learned some amazing things about the location and he took some amazing pictures and videos for us. THANKS.Written 21 July 2024
- kathyj20160 contributionsBook early and go earlyIt’s Machu Picchu! You can hike up to the entrance the local town for two hours, or take a bus for $25. I took the bus and you should only get in the bus line an hour before your Mapi entrance ticket. For example, my ticket was 7am, and the bus people didn’t let me get on until 6:20 anyways, so I shouldn’t have got up super early to wait in the line in the cold wind. You should purchase a ticket with certain circuit number. There are 10. Circuit 2 is the best and you can get much closer to the ruin than other circuits. Circuit 3 is the royal chamber and need reservation more than a month in advance. I did circuit 1 which is all hiking. And I bought my ticket late so the only one left is the Machu Picchu mountain. HARDEST HIKING IVE EVER DONE! You have 2000 feet to hike my friend and the trail in all in rock steps, not nice rock steps, uneven surfaced rock steps with different heights. Some of the steps barely fit my feet and some steps are at my knee height. Even though I was super careful coming down after I hiked up half the distance (pregnant lady here), I twisted my ankles four times by misstep on some of the rocks. Great view of the whole valley and other side of the mountain range though. If challenge yourself is your thing, go for circuit 1. Oh and go early in the morning when it’s still cold enough and not as crowded.Written 18 July 2024
- Culture7342040 contributionsGood guide, but bad coordinationGroup tour - I was supposed to get picked up at the train station in Agua Caliente (also in case of a train delay up to 1 hour), but I got a message that we were meeting at the Machu Picchu entrance because my train was late. That wasn’t true, my train was perfectly on time. At the end Paula, the guide, was really good and that absolutely saved the experience.Written 18 June 2024
- gregaZ6883GY0 contributionsInvoice not ticketsYou do not get tickets. You get an invoice. You can not get in with an invoice or receipt. We had to go to the government agency to look up if we had tickets. They used are passports to find our reservation. They were upset that we did not have real tickets. They used there system and took pictures of our real tickets. If our host had not told us that we had no tickets, we would have had a bad experience at the entrance.Written 8 June 2024
- wcooper40 contributionsJust like National GeographicsJust like I saw it on National Geographics. The getting there requires some planning and YES tourists pay way more than locals. I understand they have to monitor it, but they get a little too overwhelming with the process.Written 23 March 2024
- BrittanylS1883AL0 contributionsPeru is a beautiful country and its best known attraction is Machupicchu. We wanted to make sure we got the best experience possible and we saw the great reviews about Terra Quechua Peru. We are so glad we booked the Sacred Valley + Machupicchu, it was great. The communication with the company was perfect. Our tour guide was Richard and he was the best. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about everything. He took excellent photos of my husband and I together as well. Arriving at Machupicchu, you are met with a view that takes your breath away. The ancient ruins, surrounded by towering mountains and shrouded in mist, transport you to another era. Every corner of this archaeological site is a masterpiece of Inca engineering and architecture, and leaves you in awe. It is a journey that leaves a lasting impression and changes you forever.Written 21 March 2024
