About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Faithfultravelerrev0 contributionsEasy to see and doThe Old Town walking tour is easy to see and do. The town itself is small and not including the few hours inside the many historical churches and buildings, that actual walking in town and on the city walls was less than an hour. Highlights: we started into the Old Town through the southern entrance known as the Gurdic Gate. Walked along Craftsmen Street, which runs all the way from the southern gate to the northern River Gate. There are many shops, and we kept our tradition of purchasing a Christmas tree ornament here. Once at the northern River Gate, cross the bridge for fantastic views of the walls and ramparts of San Giovanni’s Fortress, also called St John’s Castle. Then, there was St Mary’s church dates to 1221. Followed by our favourite, St Nicholas’ Church in St Lucas’ Square. Inside enjoy the fragrance of frankincense, as you take in all its history. Outside, go over to the little St Lucas’ Church, built in 1195, and see more beautiful castle views. Pass the cafes with cats sitting on chairs, see the Lombardic Palace, and then Museum Square. Just before the square, you’ll see a small courtyard on your right that is home to the Karampana, Kotor’s only public well, dating to the 17th century. Once at the square, the elegant building with green shutters on your left is Gregorina Palace, which houses the Maritime Museum, which is worth a look considering Kotor’s rich maritime history and close connection to the sea. Next up is St Tryphon’s Square, with more stunning views of the mountains and ramparts above, is home to, in a clockwise direction, the old Town Hall, elegant Drago Palace, the Bishop’s Palace with its pretty courtyard, and beside it, majestic St Tryphon’s Cathedral. Take the lane that runs between the Town Hall and restaurant to the Square of Flour. Here you will see Pima Palace and Buča Palace. Take the lane on the other side of the square to the Square of Arms. Here you will see the splendid clock tower, Venetian Arsenal, the Town Hall, Bizanti Palace, and Prince’s Palace. Exit the Old City through the main town entrance, Morska Vrata or Sea Gate.Written 19 November 2024
- michaeldV2342GZ0 contributionsOK but boring with few historical detailsWell..it was OK but there were very few facts...more talking about how many cruise ships come in and what they were called....the tour needs a quicker speaking guide with more interesting facts on the history of KotorWritten 23 October 2024
- lialia50 contributionsA wonderful tour of the history and modern dayThis was a wonderful tour to get the history of Kotor and its key points. Our tour guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and gave a great glimpse of both the history and modern day life. A great way to quickly understand the main points of interest and then go back to visit for a deeper look!Written 11 October 2024
- Edward W0 contributionsExcellent Walking Tour of KotorNikolina was an excellent tour guide. She covered a wide range of information including history, architecture, foodie facts, general Kotor “gossip” not to forget cats!! All this was done in an engaging way and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend a tour with Nikolena.Written 19 September 2024
- philli10 contributionsBit of a let downWent on this tour which was advertised as 1to 2 hrs but in fact was less than an hour. Even less if you took out the personal information. We were promised recommendations for food and local souvenirs. This amounted to pizza, one hotel and one small shop…oh and ice cream which was a real let down. Didn’t really get a sense of the place more than just wandering around and reading the plaques etc. So compared to other tours, a real let down. Enthusiasm only goes a certain distance.Written 31 August 2024

- 727irenee0 contributionsA glimpse of KotorA very informative walk but hard to hear at times. Would have loved more history about the area. Too much emphasis on past earthquakes.Written 2 August 2024
- susiew8070 contributionswalking tour with Milica around the Black LakeWe had the lovely Milica take us around the Black lake! It was incredible, the views were spectacular and she was lovely, knowledgeable, patient, passionate and so very kind. She helped my mother over the difficult bits and encouraged my children to complete the walk. Taking a tour guide really helps you get to know the country!Written 1 August 2024

- zeddyfromTO0 contributionsPetra was local and lovely - highly recommendPetra was our wonderful tour guide. She studied tourism and her professionalism is evident. She is a local from Kotor and shared a lot of the interesting history as well as her own personal and family anecdotes and stories with us. She was kind and gracious and passionate. She made some recommendations for us on our request and they were all bang on. She recommended places we would have never visited. They were all local and wonderful.Written 21 May 2024
- G8065XElizg0 contributionsA fantastic guideMilos was a fantastic guide, happy to answer questions and very informative about the Kotor locality, geography and history of Montenegro. The walk is at the pace you set and he recommended places to eat and other areas in the country to visit. He also very kindly gave us a lift back to Tivat to log in for our tourist tax which we had assumed could be paid anywhere! We would highly recommend Milos as your guide.Written 3 May 2024
