This was definitely the best tour I’ve been on! I’ve done two tours with Reality now and they are definitely my favourite tour company - would love to see them expand to other cities. My guide Sourav was amazing - he gave me so much information about everything; the history of places and all about the different religions. Nothing was rushed, and there was never any pressure to buy anything. Moreover, you could tell he genuinely enjoyed his job. As a young, solo, female traveller I felt safe the whole time and it was a great way to see old Delhi. Seeing the views of the city at sunset, visiting various temples and markets and even the Jain bird hospital, tasting street food, and getting around by walking, metro, and rickshaw - this tour exceeded every expectation I had. Thank you so much sourav and Reality! These tours are worth every cent and the fact 80% goes back to Reality Gives is even better. I will definitely be taking more of these tours next time I come to India!

On a whim, I decided to do a walking tour through Delhi's markets. What a great decision! I got to see the real, crowded, honk-filled, sensory overload Delhi, including five different markets, three temples, and many highlights along the way. Meha, my guide, was an incredibly competent and knowledgeable young lady who herself was afforded opportunities through this nonprofit. I always felt safe, take care of, and well informed. Highlight: Sikh temple!!
I would recommend this to anyone visiting Delhi. Here you will see the real city!!

This is a great day tour that exposes you to the real side of Delhi. Our guide Vijay was very knowledgeable, friendly, and showed us several different markets and temples. Highlights were taking the subway, which I might not of done otherwise, and visiting a Sikh temple and learning about the religion. I definitely suggest doing this tour if you want to do a shorter tour that isn’t too overwhelming, but still covers a lot of ground.

I took this tour with 2 high school kids that were very nice.
Our tour guide Henna was very knowledgeable and very sensitive to our individual needs.
I enjoyed it very much.
If you are looking to do some shopping while visiting the different kinds of markets, it is not a tour for that unless you are able to shop on the fly!

* I give one start because of the great Guide
** I gave two stars for the cool and unique underground and rooftop walk.

However, This should NOT start at 10 am from the Spice Market which is mostly close till 12. After the walk finish, I needed to walk back to enjoy actually.

Recommend:
1. Stop to look at the Fort is a waste of time better use in the old town markets
2. Start at 12 pm and with the Sikh Template so to get MAX experience from going into the markets when they are open and busy.
3. Add some experience, like testing

Hi Dov, thanks for taking the time to review your recent Old Delhi Tour with us. We're really glad you found your guide to be so great and that there were aspects of the tour you really enjoyed...we're sorry it was anything other than 5* however. Typically this is a really popular tour, with over 99% of guests reporting they would recommend it. On the tour, we feel it's important to take people to the Red Fort given it's incredible history and continued cultural relevant (it still plays host to annual Independence Day celebrations. We're sorry you didn't get a sense of this on the tour. Similarly, the Spice Market typically runs from 6am (with most businesses opening by 9am) - we regret you didn't get a sense that this was the case on the day you visited. We hope to see you back here in Delhi (or over in Mumbai soon) and would love the opportunity to give you the 5* experience so many of our guests enjoy.

Instead of going on a food tour, we opted for the Markets and Temples tour because it promised more information about the culture of Delhi. We don't usually do guided tours, but figured that Delhi was worth an exception--and are glad we did. Our guide, Hema, was fantastic. She's very knowledgeable, her English is good, and she provided lots of context about life in Delhi (not just history). We were the only two people on the tour, so we got lots of attention, and we never felt rushed. Meeting her at centrally located Connault Place and then taking the subway and a tuk tuk for parts of the tour really made things easy and fun. And since Old Delhi seems like a giant labyrinth, it would have been difficult for us to maneuver it with just Google Maps, let alone understand the differences in the religions represented by the temples we visited. Hema did a great job with that. There was never any pressure to buy anything from any vendor (which seems like a rarity in India). And it was great to take a tour run by a company that gives aid to India's slum residents. The price was also a great value. It was one of the highlights of our Golden Triangle trip!

We had the most amazing time walking the streets and markets of Old Delhi with Sagar. This is a must do tour and the organisation behind it does an incredible job in giving back to the community.
Sagar was patient and knowledgeable, we talked and laughed and walked around and he was happy for me to stop and look at the interesting shops and stands and take pictures and ask lots of questions.
My daughter was so taken by the visit to the Sikh Mosque.
We wish we had more time in time in Delhi to do other tours and we so want to come back and visit again.

We took this tour two days ago with Sam as our guide and loved it! Sam was very knowledgeable and showed us parts of the markets and temples we never would have known about if touring on our own. He was extremely courteous as well. We love appreciate that a large amount of the profits of these tours are applied back into the neighborhoods we visited. We also appreciate that the tour guides do not work on commission with the shops in the markets we visited. This was an experience we will always remember
