About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jameslX4438PU0 contributionsFood and South Delhi Bike ToursWe did two tours with Tenzin - the food tour and then the next day the south Delhi bike tour. Firstly very easy to communicate with to organise upfront and also on the day to sort meeting points etc. The food tour took us round old Delhi experiencing the crazy streets and exploring places we'd never have found. Tenzin has good insight into the local cultures and communities and his connections meant we got some nice information and stories from the locals in addition to the food. For the bike tour he brought an additional support guide Dhermish who kept us safe and also had an amazing back story he kindly shared with us. Thanks both for the great tours!Written 12 March 2024
- Frchik0 contributionsGreat tour! This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Tenzin was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw some great art and tasted several local foods. The bikes were in good shape and the pace was perfect! I highly recommend!Written 4 March 2024
- 721frederikeh0 contributionsAmazing walking tour through Old DehliWe had a private walking tour with Tenzin through Old Delhi on Republic day and it was just an amazing experience. A lot of shops were closed due to the national holiday, but he took us to rooftops, hidden backyards, and to the most delicious street food restaurants. We visited the spice market and had a delicious massala chai tea. We heart interesting stories about the history of the different places and through Tenzin met local people. Tenzin is an outstanding guide and we would highly recommend going on a tour with him.Written 27 January 2024
- Oksanavis0 contributionsGreat and save bike tour in Old Delhi! The tour was great! Good communication beforehand as I would rather go with a group since I'm already traveling solo. Tenzin is a great tourguide told us interesting stories. I felt very safe on the bike because we were mostly riding small quite streets. Would definitely recommend!Written 12 January 2024

- raresv210 contributionsFull immersion in day-to-day DelhiOne of the best choices I've ever made on my Delhi trip. It was an amazing experience sliding on a bike between richshaws, scooties and vendors. Plus I got the chance to see some hidden spots of Old Delhi. Also, the guide was truly wonderful with all his stories, tips and recommandations. This is not only a tour, this an immersive journey in Delhi's day-to-day activities.Written 29 December 2023
- Q5941TFevas0 contributionsOld Delhi tourThe old Delhi Tour with breakfast in the Tibetan Community was a very nice way to explore Delhi. We saw places we wouldn't have seen on our own and Vishnu was a very kind and helpful guide. Also, he and also Tenzin gave us a lot of recommendations on what else to do in Delhi with the limited time we had there. I absolutely recommend this Tour and thanks again to Vishnu and Tenzin for the great time!Written 3 December 2023
- Sunnyme640 contributionsGreat cycle trip around S Delhi with art and street food included! My friend and I had a brilliant trip cycling around S Delhi and the Lodi Art District with our excellent guide Tenzin and his helper Darmesh. Despite it being a bit wet at the start (luckily they provided raincoats) we were soon immersed into another side of Delhi. Tenzin is very friendly and very knowledgeable - we learnt more about the city and its people, whilst also trying some great streetfood. It was the first time we had dosa since we arrived in India, and it didn’t disappoint. Loved seeing the art on the buildings and Tenzin was very patient with me stopping to take photos every 2 minutes. Seeing the ‘posh part’ of Delhi was interesting too. Cycling in that area was straightforward and with Tenzin and Darmesh there to guide us when crossing the busier roads, we never felt unsafe. Thank you guys! Great trip and would highly recommend.Written 29 November 2023
- Tangelo170 contributionsAwesome way to learn about the cityIf you had the idea to get to know Delhi by Bike, you should do it. You are already very adventurous. I am a daily commuter in DC and other cities around the world, and this company will make sure you are safe while getting around the town. I got to see neighborhoods and eat foods I wouldn't have otherwise seen. We also got to ask questions about the diverse cultures and economies of the neighborhoods we visited. Delhi is the 3rd largest city in the world, and this is a great way to get to know it quickly!! This was my third visit to Delhi, and this tour is the single best thing that I did that helped me understand and connect with the city more.Written 29 November 2023
- Global177925406820 contributionsGreat way to experience the cityThis was a very interesting way to cover a lot of area and experience a different view of this big busy city. Tenzin and Vishnu kept us very safe with their instructions while navigating a few tricky roads, and took us to some interesting places (Lodi arts precinct, quiet tombs, lovely parks, rose-scented Nizamuddin) while we travelled through the daily events of the local neighbourhood life. Stopped for marsala chai and one stall, and a restaurant for some dosa, something I had not had before but really enjoyed. I would happily recommend this tour.Written 10 October 2023
- NatalieTeg220 contributionsAuthentic Cultural TourTenzin is an amazing tour guide. I’ve completed three of his tours and all have been fantastic and authentic. Truely an unparalleled way to explore Delhi!Written 8 October 2023
- Aneesha B0 contributionsJust do it- it’s amazing. This was truly an amazing adventure- it’s not for the overly cautious. You will be riding through crowds or people, bicycles, animals, rickshaws, etc. But Tenzin and Vishnu kept a watchful eye out and we all made it safely through. You have to be vigilant on the bike and be prepared to get within an inch of all kinds of traffic. But trust me - that’s part of the fun! It’s an assault on the senses (not a bad thing) and you will see all parts of Dehli that you wouldn’t see otherwise. We are so glad we had this experience and would highly recommend to all. You get a little history but the real treat is Tenzin’s knowledge of exactly where to go in tucked away corners of the city and getting to experience life on the streets in a unique way.Written 8 October 2023
- C7709BWdaniell0 contributionsgreat relaxed and skilled guided trip!We highly recommend this for when you are in Delhi. Our guide was punctual, knowledgeable, and chill. The bikes are comfy and well-maintained. No doubt we saw and learned about some sites that we otherwise would not have experienced on our own. The arts district is a very quiet neighborhood away from the bustle. And we stopped for the best Dosa of our entire trip!Written 26 September 2023
- Getaway1489850 contributionsFun afternoon biking around south DelhiI highly recommend this tour as something different to do in Delhi. Our guides Tanzig and Vishnu were very capable and informative and kept us safe! We saw parts of Delhi you don’t see on other tours, including Lodhi arts and Lodhi gardens, and we were introduced to locals. We also had delicious snacks and lunch from street vendors.Written 18 September 2023

4 of us booked the Old Delhi tour with Delhi by bike before leaving the UK as we only had one morning in the city. The communication from DBB was very good, they were quick to confirm our booking and sent clear instructions for the rendezvous point.
We were met at the arranged time and introduced to our 2 guides. After our bike saddles and helmets we're adjusted to suit we were given a safety talk before heading off into the warren like lanes and alleyways of Old Delhi.
Our lead guide, Tenzin, stopped at many interesting sights along the way giving explanations about the sights and answering any questions we had. Tenzin showed a genuine enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge of the city, which was excellent and his English was very good.
Towards the end of the tour we stopped at small and very popular local breakfast eatery for puri and daal, which was delicious.
Overall the tour was around 3 and a half hours long. It was by no means strenuous but a reasonable level of bikes control was needed when threading our way through the narrow alleyways and weaving through the pedestrians.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Delhi as you will get to see many sights that may otherwise be missed.

Without a guide you would never experience the intricate maze of lane ways through Old Delhi either by foot or by bike. To experience the streets waking up, small business starting the day with food & chai, prayers over the loud speaker, the locals going about their daily lives will be something I’ll treasure. Tenzin was a fabulous guide with stories to entertain us and a passion for us to understand what it’s like to live in Old Delhi. As a solo female traveler I felt safe with my group at all times. The tour gave me the confidence to visit the spice market the next day as it was closed on Sunday. The perfume of spice and rose in the air was quite beautiful. I loved every minute of this tour and will definitely book again.

Tenzin and Vishnu coordinated the trip so well. We were given clear instructions from the start that allowed us to navigate the narrow lanes and main roads safely.
What I particularly enjoyed was the ease with which the route was planned. The old city has maze like lanes but Tenzin knew the insider routes and gave us a good snapshot of life around the old town area. Havelis, famous food joints, early morning activities in a local park and a visit to the wholesale spice center were the highlights of our tour. We had a four hour ride through the old city and ended it with some delicious puri at a well known local joint.
Thank you for the fun tour, felt like we were travelling with a bunch of friends.

We both loved this tour—Tenzin was a fantastic and laid back host who gave us an authentic look at Delhi as it was waking up, with lots of great stories about the people of this city. He also showed us amazing hidden spots we never would have discovered on our own, paired with plenty of context and history. We highly, highly recommend taking this tour!
We really appreciated his authenticity—as a Tibetan living in India, he has a bit of an outsider perspective and more importantly has no ulterior motives other than to give you a good tour. We were frustrated with how often other India tours are constantly looking to upsell you or get commissions with vendors they take you to—this was not the case with Tenzin. He and his colleague Vishnu were friendly, honest, and lovely to talk to—we wish we could have spent more time hanging out with them!
Tenzin also gave great recommendations for restaurants to try and places to visit—he really enhanced our stay at Delhi and we’re so grateful we took this tour!

Joined this on an impromptu whim and what an amazing way to see parts of Delhi that you I have not experienced on previous trips here with work.
Cycling through narrow backstreets that I would certainly not have ventured into on my own, feeling perfectly safe at all times, our incredibly knowledgeable guide talked us through our stopping points and it was a great way to spend 4hrs, seeing temples, markets, back streets full of locals, rooftop views and sharing breakfast together.
It was an early start but meant you familiarised yourself with the bike , especially the bell & roads before having to navigate carts, animals and all manner of Delhi traffic!
I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to see more than an average tour of Delhi by car.

Having visited Delhi from the USA at least 4 separate times and visited all of the major tourist sites, I can certainly say I never saw the real Delhi as vividly as I did on the Old Delhi Bike Tour. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but highly recommend for any visitor who wants to really see a more authentic side of the city and it’s history. Will definitely book again next time I’m in Delhi!

Tenzin and Darmesh made Delhi unforgettable for us. We took 3 trips with them: Firstly we did the early morning cycle ride in New Delhi and felt completely safe even when traversing through busy traffic! We then did a walk in old Delhi sampling local foods and experiencing the hub-bub of the spice market! Lastly Tenzin took us through the Sanjay Colony in the early evening.
Tenzin speaks excellent English, is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour! He has a way about his personality that gets local people talking to him so he can share their stories with us.
We highly recommend his tours and look forward to meeting him again.

We did the "Old Delhi with a twist" tour with Tenzin and Raju.
For me (4th tour of Old Delhi) the tour gave some fun new insights and showed me new roads I hadn't seen before.
For my two sisters (first time in India) it gave a great overview on the Old city while also showing some hidden gems.
We also loved the Tibetan colony and breakfast with which the tour concluded.
Group size was very small (just the three of us) and bikes were well maintained.
Tenzin and Raju were fantastic guides and I will come back next time we have visitors.
Thank you so much for the great experience!

I can really advise everyone to book a bicycle tour through Old Delhi. You will see a lot of interesting people with many different religious backgrounds. The tour is very safe so you don’t need to worry about that and the guides are very friendly and share a lot of interesting details about Old Delhi. We brought a visit to the biggest mosque of India and we also visited several temples. I really loved the spice market!

David H

Hmm. Depends on how skilled he is, aware of his surroundings and calm he can remain among a throng of people. It's possible to stay together with one other person within the group, but there are multiple sections where the bike tour is single-file and it is common for the cyclists to space out a bit. However, this can be avoided with attention from both parties. My best friend rode BMX since we was 5 or 6, and his skills at 8 would be adequate to keep up with the group and navigate the difficult areas (pedestrians, street carts, animals, etc). I may have been a little less comfortable at 8 but would have been adventurous enough to enjoy it. The tour guide is very accommodating and would make sure he was safe, but I wouldn't want it to be an unpleasant situation for you. However, I WOULD check bike sizes with the tour company. All of the bikes I saw were adult bikes, so that is something that could cause a problem. I hope you get to go, it was a wonderful experience!
