What to expect
  • Start your day in the early morning at Cusrow Baug in Colaba. Meet your guide and the of your tour mates before hopping aboard your comfortable city bike (helmets available upon request). Take off on two wheels and explore this eclectic city at a leisurely pace. Follow your guide as you navigate away from major roads and into the side streets of Mumbai. The tour starts early to insure you beat the heat and the crowds. Begin your ride on the back streets of the Fort area—a former business district from the 18th century. Bear witness to the morning commute as thousands of passengers descend upon Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST)—India’s busiest railway station. You may recognize the Victorian Gothic style of this UNESCO World Heritage site from the 2008 film, Slumdog Millionaire. After witnessing the morning commute, head to Crawford Market where you’ll dismount your bike and venture inside for a quick look. One of the largest fruit, vegetable and meat markets in the city, this destination for local shoppers was the first place in India to get electricity. Cruise though Bhuleshwar and Kalbadevi bazaars before making a stop at Bombay Panjrapole. More than 350 sacred cows and other smaller animals are sheltered in this structure at the center of this kinetic city. Make a stop at Mumbadevi Temple before riding through the colorful marigold garlands that decorate Mumbai’s flower alley. Enjoy a cup of steaming chai before coasting along the 1-mile (3-km) stretch of scenic Marine Drive. This stunning promenade offers incredible views of the Arabian Sea and offers a haven of peace and quiet (almost) as you make your way to South Mumbai’s major fishing Mecca, Sassoon Dock. End your trip at the original departure point, where you’ll enjoy a typical Indian breakfast with your friendly guide and new friends. Recount stories of the day and compare highlights while you savor a delicious group meal.

It was a great experience ! And a valuable history lesson on old Mumbai . Both the tour guides Raj and Rahul were knowledgeable, friendly and very careful with helping us navigate Mumbai streets and market areas . The tour started and ended well and is a memory I will always cherish

We loved this. You see you so much (and often off-the-beaten-track) in such a short amount of time. Stops for chai and breakfast, and the ability to ask innumerable questions was brilliant.

An early start for this tour but you will appreciate the less traffic around when you are on a bike. The tour is about 15kms but it’s flat and you stop often. My wife and I are over sixty and NOT fitness fanatic and we found bike ride fine. Reality tours are excellent in everything they do with part of the tour costs going back to the local community.

When looking for something different to do, my son and I selected the bike tour starting at 6:15am. We met Simran and Rahul at the designated spot, tested and collected our bikes and headed off! We covered all the highlights of Mumbai including the train station, Marine Drive, Gateway of India, Crawford Markets, the cow shed (excellent) flower alley a temple and a great ride through Mumbai as the city awoke! We finished at the Madras restaurant for an excellet breakfast. Highly recommended tour of Mumbai.

If you have a chance when in Mumbai we highly recommend this tour- you will got all the highlights of Mumbai but also get a chance to go to the Sassoon fish market which was simply amazing. Also, seeing the “holy cows” was fabulous. The ride is all flat and not at all strenuous with frequent stops

I had the luxury to be the only tourist on the tour, so I had the full attention of the guide, Javed.
Using the bike in the early morning is a wonderful way to move around. Way faster than walking, a bit of fresh breeze from the ride, and you see way more compared to sitting in a taxi.
Actually traffic wan't an issue at all in the early morning, and Javed was extremely careful while moving around. We went to see some interesting places that I wouldn't have discovered on my own, had some good chats, and finally had a nice south Indian breakfast in Colaba.
I doubt you'll find a better guide than this young man - great explanations of life in Mumbai in flawless English.

I did it again ... its the best way to show a Indian newcomer Bombay.... and also for old Bombaywallas its always great fun because you see your city early in the morning, awakening and get to know places where you usually not go. The people from reality tours are very professional and very lovely. Highly recommended!!!! I also booked the private Dharavi slum tour ... an experience and you learn a lot, mostly about yourself and the way you are living ...

An early start but well worth the effort! We were accompanied throughout the cycle ride by two guides one of whom cycled at the front, and the other at the rear, so we were never at risk at getting lost. traffic was light early on but became heavier as the morning wore on but we never felt in danger, albeit that the Highway Code is probably not part of the Indian DNA! We cycled past and along many of the city highlighted buildings and roads and finished up at a local eatery for breakfast. Just do it-another brilliant tour from reality Tours

Great tour and hosted by the excellent and charming Mr T and Simrun. Having done a car-based guided tour earlier in our trip and only thought it was so-so, we approached this tour with some trepidation. We needn’t have worried because it was fun and funny and we had a great time. Loved it all - entertaining and thoughtful and different. Thank you Reality Tours and thank you Mr T and Simrun.
