We planned our own trip to invlude Hampi and Badami. Also Ajunta and Ellora caves . We had a lot of input in planning and chosing hotels. We had a dedicated agent for the trip who was available on Whats App. We had a great train trip. All booked and arranged by thd company. Drivers were always there on time. We had excellent guides. The hotels were all very different from corporate to old palaces to quite simple cottages. We liked them all. We had a noise problem at one which resolved with agent input. We got upgraded and a free meal. The agency also gave us a free night in Goa. Hotel Beleza by the Beach in Goa was perfect. We plan to use the company again.

Absolutely everything about this trip was amazing! Every detail was meticulously planned- from the tour guides to the hotels and the drivers to the custom tours. There is absolutely nothing I would have done differently. Himanshu and Geet were fabulous!

I can't believe how amazing our trip with Bout India Tours was. We did 5 days across the golden triangle of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. We were welcomed at the Delhi Airport with roses and then made it to our amazing hotel. Then we started our Tours the next day in a private car with Amar .I cannot express how awesome he was. He was always on time, respectful, and very flexible. Our tour guides Manoj, Sandeep and Karni were really knowledgeable too and super helpful. We met Aakansha and Chahat for our last dinner and understood why the tour was so great - because awesome people were organizing it. India is so beautiful and Bout helped us see it. Private solo tour that included Agra, Jaipur, Ranthanbore. Scheduling a bespoke itinerary was done succinctly through a series of email messages just 2 weeks before departure. My driver greeted me at Delhi Airport and supported me until returning to the airport 8 days later. Communication in English was easy, and he managed every request. Excellent selection of accommodations throughout. In Agra and Jaipur guides with local experience took me to less crowded areas to view iconic sights in a fresh way. Ranthanbore jeep safari was shared with strangers. Despite lack of tiger sighting, more elusive leopards were seen very close. I felt comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout my visit. Normally not one to book an international trip through a local company, but my experience was better than I’ve had with big name UK or US outfitters.

It was our first trip to India and from start to finish we had a wonderful experience with Bout India. Communication was really easy via WhatsApp and the itinerary was tailored to everything we wanted to do. The local guides in each place were so knowledgable and friendly and took us to all the best spots. Our driver magically appeared whenever we were finished and on the move - really seamless coordination that made us feel looked after and safe. We couldn’t recommend the team highly enough and will certainly use them again for our next trip.

Bottom line: Bout India deserves every accolade they’ve been given. If you’re looking for a quick answer, go ahead and book. If you’d like more detail why we think so, here’s the long version of why we can’t recommend Bout India enough. We had a truly amazing, once-in-a-lifetime trip in India, and much of this was thanks to Bout India’s terrific advice, planning, and support along the way. They carefully crafted a perfect itinerary according to our tastes, timeframe, and limited budget. This involved Delhi, Rishikesh, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. The trip went super smoothly and was absolutely fantastic. Bout India arranged wonderful guides and drivers throughout, and recommended excellent restaurants along the way. They helped us reach monuments at good times with lower crowds and also avoid tourist trap restaurants and souvenir shops. They even managed to fit in several hikes and runs along the way, which was clearly a bit unusual, but incorporated without fuss to fit our requests. The trip also fell during our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make this special for us. It was all quite magical. We worked with Akansha for the initiation planning, and then closely with Chahat throughout our stay. She took extraordinarily good care of us. Through our daily chats by phone and messenger, we learned that Chahat is attentive, proactive, kind, and makes the most of her network to maximize her guests’ experience in each city. Even though the company is simultaneously running several trips at once, she made the time to share a meal with us in Jaipur (one of our favorite meals of the trip), which is an example of the personal touch that Bout India takes. Every transition involves a “warm handoff” - a Bout India representative introducing you to the next driver, next guide, next step. You do not feel like just another tourist in a big touring machine: everything is very carefully crafted to you, and by the end of it you feel like old friends with your Bout India representative (in our case, Chahat). Modus operandi: The company hired a single driver for most of our visit and contracted with individual guides in each city. This meant our guide selection felt curated to optimize high quality guides. In our discussions with each guide, we found the through-line on every visit was how much each of the guides genuinely treasures his hometown: each was born and raised in that city and had an exceptional personal network. If we had a specific request (e.g. we’d like to see textiles in this city, find a specific type statue, ride the train during our trip, arrange a day trek in Rishikesh, etc), the guides activated their resources and arranged the day to accommodate our desires. They were very up-front each day that their primary mission is to recognize that guests have a limited time in each city, and the itinerary should therefore be designed around the desires, hopes, priorities of those guests - even if it involves a bizarre request from a pair of runners to run through a rice field or follow goat paths through the desert! To that end, we want to be sure to make special mention of the drivers and guides who took exceptionally good care of us during our time in India. - In Delhi, we loved working with Harry. He was knowledgeable, experienced, and catered our time in Delhi to our every wish. One particular highlight was eating some delicious paranthas that Harry seemed to conjure from thin air amid the souk-like maze of Chowdi Chouk. - In Agra, Vinay crafted an incredible visit for us. We were worried about the tourist hordes around the Taj Mahal, but Vinay picked us up from the train station with sunset encroaching and immediately spirited us away to a private spot along the river where we enjoyed sunset views of the world’s most beautiful monument. The rest of the tour continued in this manner—we really felt like we were discovering the city’s best-kept secrets. We had a fantastic time in Agra. - In Jaipur, we were mainly in the care of Varun, who quickly understood that we like to take a lot of photos and enjoy architecture. He adapted our schedule to suit our preferences and made for a memorable stay. - In Pushkar, we worked with “Ricky” who also took nice care of us. He is passionate about the holiness of this city in Hinduism, and his devotion helped us empathize and experience the city and its temples in a deeper way. - In Udaipur, we were in the care of Mr. Kamal, who is clearly a deeply respected member of the community. His wealth of knowledge and experience enriched our visit; we loved our time and conversations with him. He is a consummate guide. He also nimbly adjusted the schedule when we decided to spend more time in the Havelis. - In Jodhpur, we were in the care of Krishna, who was warm and flexible in schedule changes despite some very long waits (one of us reaaaally enjoyed the textile market). His warmth and disarming way of teaching us about his city helped us ask some deeper questions about the city and gave us all the key knowledge we needed to experience this beautiful city. Seeing our love of photography, he took us on a special tour of the old city (the long-awaited blue walls!!); we already cherish some of these photographs. - In Jaisalmer, Kamal Singh was our guide, and he really bent over backwards to ensure we had a good time. We had limited time, and some specific “last day” prioritize (read: souvenirs), which he managed to arrange seamlessly. When we encountered The One Trip Problem (noted below), he was incredibly generous and helped us across the finish line. He went above and beyond and we are extremely grateful to him. We cannot recommend him highly enough! - Bhagirath was our driver for the majority of the visit and he was attentive, kind, friendly, and highly professional. He helped streamline communication with our local guides and Chahat, noticed our preferences from day one (Extra Punch soda water!), and was super helpful in staying on extra to help during the The One Trip Problem on the last day. His presence made us feel extra safe and we enjoyed his company. One of the most important moments when having a tour company matters — beyond the endless details and headaches that were prevented by helping someone manage the minutiae in a country with a different language and norms — is when something goes wrong on the trip. This happened to us: we are trail runners and habitually carry a satellite messenger into places without cell reception; unbeknownst to us, this is banned in India (readers take note!). We had to deal with the authorities one afternoon, an experience that could have been traumatic, dramatic, even more problematic. However, Bout India flew into action at the first word, activated their network of guides to help translate the language and circumstance. Chahat’s quick activation of local guides in our aid deescalated the situation and made us feel infinitely more at ease. The way Bout India quickly activated resources in a time of need was the best evidence of their experience and capacity in the guiding space, and made it clear to us just how competent this operation is. Amid all the additional costs of staying an extra night in Jaisalmer because of this issue, Bout India arranged lodging at no additional cost to us. It was a great example of when it pays to have a professional group of experts “in your corner.” In short: it was a magical trip, and we are extremely grateful to Bout India. Thank you, Bout India, for the exhilarating holiday you organised for us and for allowing us flexibility . We recently returned from a fabulous 14-day holiday in India customised in detail by Bout India. In retrospect, from the initial friendly welcome at the airport in Mumbai and transfer by Mr Aryan to the final drop-off by Mr Vinish in Kerala, we were treated to the warmth of Indian hospitality. We were deftly chauffeured and guided through Mumbai's city highlights by our very own SRK, Shoheb and Dildar. Enlightened by articulate and knowledgeable guides throughout the Ellora, Kailash and Ajanta caves in Aurangabad was a blessing. Special shout- out to the Chef and staff at the Welcome ITC in Aurangabad for the delicious cuisine, packed breakfasts, and mouthwatering dinners and for recommending matching Indian wines. Geet, our pretty, energetic young contact, pleasantly surprised us at the refreshing and artistic Frangrant Nature hotel in Kochi, where we had reinvigorating ayurvedic massages and saunas. Frankie, our driver and tour guide in Goa, enlightened us on the churches and beautiful beaches. I loved Anjuna, Baga and Vagator. Thank you Frankie! Munnar to Kumarokom, Kochi and Allepey were totally stress- busting. We were spellbound by the Kathakali and Punarjani performances in Munnar. We can't wait to visit India again!

Traveled with a girlfriend to three different locations in India. This was my second trip with BOUT India. Most important thing to me is their constant contact with their clients, no matter the time of day. We were able to adjust what we wanted to see during the trip with no problem. Would definitely recommend this agency.

Fantastic experience. Self-directed tour. Everything was well coordinated. Attention to detail was great - from flower bouquets in every new city to birthday cakes and balloons! When things weren't perfect - it's India after all - Bout stepped in quickly to fix it. We had a problem with one of the guides in Delhi and the next day we had a new one. When a hotel wasn't up to standard, the director of the company personally fixed it for us. Would surely recommend.

For this special family trip we worked with BoutIndia in designing the perfect itinerary. This was a special trip for us as we were visiting India for the first time and my mother was born there. Everyone at BoutIndia listened carefully to our wishes and were quick in responding to any changes we wanted to make. All our guides were excellent, well spoken and attentive. Shuaib in Mumbai, Karni in Udaipur, Vijay in Jodhpur, Bhagi in Jaipur, Amit in Agra and Bhati in Delhi. Special shout out to the guide, Mr. Kumar, who showed us the well on our way to Agra. The hotels suited our needs. We wanted to be comfortable but not in over the top luxury so they picked very beautiful heritage and boutique hotels for us. Our driver Mr. Arvind was with us almost the entire time and we wound a great friend in him. So humble and nice. A very special thank you to Sonal and Chahat for taking such good care of us. We will stay in touch and hopefully come back to India soon.

We were greeted at Delhi airport with flowers which was a very nice gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights tour, touring Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Shankar was our driver and he was extremely efficient, always arriving on time. He was friendly and very courteous, opening car doors for us. He also explained some of the sights to us when we were driving longer distances. It was nice to have water and snacks in the car. The SUV was extremely comfortable. The hotels were an A+. The room we had at Alsisar Haveli was spectacular with its 4 poster bed. The buffet breakfasts at each hotel were delicious and offered a variety of foods. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They took good care of us. They informed us of the daily itinerary and places we would be visiting. They always made sure we were OK with those places or if there was anywhere else we would like to go. We learned lots from their vast knowledge of the Indian culture. We enjoyed seeing local artisans at work. We enjoyed visiting a Sikh temple, admiring the architecture of palaces and forts, riding on a rickshaw and just being immersed in the country's culture. We had heard about the Bahai Lotus temple which was not included in the tour but our tour guide took us there so that we could take photos. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Everyone was most accommodating and we were very happy with this experience. We received a nightly text from Bout India tour company through Whats App with the itinerary for the following day so we knew exactly what time we were being picked up and places we were to visit. We enjoyed a surprise Wedding Anniversary cake from one of the tour company Manager's. This was not expected and added to our wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone for all their hard work.

We had the most amazing trip with Bout India. We travelled for just over 3 weeks and experienced SO MUCH! We were completely taken care of by Bout India. The hotels were all 5 star, very clean and always with the most gracious of hosts. The drivers we had were always on time, professional and friendly. If i had a complaint, i would write it…but i don’t! I would highly recommend Bout India. They were very easy to deal with when planning tge trip. No small feat given a 12 hour time change!

This is a shout out about how good Bout India was in planning our trip and in implementing its operation. First, I looked at three different touring companies, and by far Bout India was the most responsive. They listened to what I wanted to do, and arranged an itinerary which ended up being perfect. Geetanshi responded in both a timely manner and with wonderful suggestions. From the time we arrived to the time we left, their concerns regarding our well-being and happiness were more than welcome. Our driver, Amrish, was wonderful. His patience in getting us through the chaotic traffic made what could’ve been a harrowing journey into one that was quite pleasant. The guides that we had, were nothing short of excellent. Their stories and knowledge of the history of the places that we were seeing gave us a deeper understanding of our surroundings in the environment that we found ourselves in. The restaurants that they suggested to us, where we ate Indian food, were fantastic in both the food quality and presentations as well as the service.
