Overview

Rather than grapple with the metro and take your chances on the night, book in advance for this original tour. It combines one classic Shanghai experience—a Huangpu river cruise—with one very modern Chinese experience, a feast of Xinjiang (Uighur) food. You’ll have a private guide for the tour, making for a personalized experience, and hotel pickup and drop-off add extra convenience.

What to Expect

Meet your tour guide and private driver at your hotel lobby. You’ll head to the Pearl of the Orient Cruise Ship Terminal to embark on your river cruise. While on the boat, admire Shanghai’s past, the Bund, and the Peace Hotel to the west; to the east, view the city’s future represented in modern skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower.

After your cruise, your guide will accompany you to a Xinjiang (Uighur) halal restaurant. Taste foods like lamb kebabs, yogurt, flatbreads, and da pan ji, a spicy chicken dish. Enjoy evening entertainment, perhaps a cultural dance or a belly dance show, before your guide drops you back at your hotel or or other prefered central Shanghai destination.
