It’s so amazing to visit Shanghai and thanks to our great tour guide, Lily. Her service was excellent (it included a spacious van, driver, expert tour guide, flexible arrangements). She responded promptly, double checked with me my hotel address (my hotel name are different from map and booking info), and sent me a tour remind-note every day with specific time, tour guide name & mobile number. I just wished I had more time to spend with Linda, our other tour guide, who showed us beautiful Northern SHanghai at night with dinner and a wonderful river boat cruise. I am sure I will come back to Shanghai again. It’s such wonderful experience.

I must admit I wasn’t big on signing-up for a ‘formal’ tour of SH with a tour company. But, I am so glad my wife convinced me to go with Shanghai Lily Tours. Our tour was modified to fit our need, and continued flexible even after we arranged the original tour specifics. Lily showed us a great time in Shanghai, and all for a very reasonable price. We got a car (actually, a van) and driver, and an expert tour guide who knew SH like the back of her hand. Having a guide who can toggle back & forth between Mandarin and English, and who know SH .. its people, its tradition and culture will make your stay in SH so complete. For all you tour naysayers … do it. You will not be disappointed with Lily. Ask for Lily.

No doubt in my mind that by having a professional tour guide to show us around SH, showing us a mix of SH landmarks, with detailed explanations of how each left its mark on China, Shanghai and the world. Without Linda, our guide, we will never know so much of interesting stories of Bund buildings. While at the same time Linda exposes us to everyday life in SH by way of Old Town and the exquisite street food available all across SH.

We really enjoyed this tour. My husband and I took a Westerdam cruise to Shanghai. We booked this tour 4 months ago. I didn’t realize there was more than one port in Shanghai, until Lily, the tour operator, contacted me. She helped us check the port address. She quickly responded to my email. We were lucky to have a great guide, named Summer – always smiling and very friendly. She made sure we had a great time. She explained the ways of Chinese life I never realized. She told us of many cultural traditions and daily routines. Summer took us to a small restaurant for lunch. It was a great choice on three counts: 1) the local people liked it, shown by the fact that it was a little crowded; 2) the food was very tasty; and 3) it was very inexpensive – for 3 of us, it cost only $18!!! The only thing is, it’s a bit difficult to use chopsticks with soup; and we were the only two foreigners in the restaurant. We noticed some people were watching us…. and smiling…. But that’s ok, we were fine making others happy. We noticed most people here were quite friendly. We had a good time in Shanghai. Thank you, Summer and Lily!

Shanghai by night provides a magical, wonderful, visually exciting tour. Great shopping, excellent food and convenient pickup. Our tour guide, Julie was superb!

The night tour is perfect. Shanghai at night it’s stunning. Our guide Lisa, is very kind and explained everything to us. We went to old town, The Bund, and Nanjing Road, and is impossible to know wich is the most beautiful. The driver was waiting for us all the time. Four unforgettable hours. Best tour in Shanghai ever.

I cannot recommend this tour service enough! Our guide Melody was so sweet and very knowledgeable about Chinese history and culture. Without her we wouldn't have understood even half of the cultural significance and facts surrounding all the sites we visited. She was also more than happy to answer all our questions about modern Chinese society and culture. Further, she gave great food suggestions!

My fiance and i spent an amazing time in the water village Zhujiajiao. The traffic was good but still 75 min. The driver was good and June who gave the tour was fantastic. She was so passionate when she told us the history of Shanghai. Thank you again!

Lily did the 2nd day of our 2-day Shanghai and Zhujiajiao tour. We were picked up at our hotel in a comfortable, clean van and provided water. Lily was flexible on the start time to help us avoid some of the rain which was in the afternoon. Since we only had 2 full days in Shanghai, we felt that this tour really helped us to maximize what we were able to see. Plus, having an English-speaking guide to tell us about the significance of what we were seeing and tell us about the local culture was invaluable. Lily was helpful in ordering lunch, which was at a local dumpling shop in Zhujiajiao. She also helped with shopping in Zhujiajiao to communicate and negotiate with the store-owners (although the prices there were super-reasonable! Our lunch was about $2 per person!). We were leaving by bullet-train for Hangzhou the next day and Lily was nice enough to write down directions for us (in English and Chinese) to the subway stops we'd need to take in Shanghai as well as Hangzhou. And she told us to text her on WeChat the next day if we had any problems or questions. It really felt like you had a local friend that was there to take you around town. Overall we give Lily 5 stars and would highly recommend her!

Lily recently led a private evening tour for a group of 36 from Atlantis Tours (charter group). She was personable, spoke beautiful English, and was very welcoming. She was flexible, happy to share Shanghai information and we had zero complaints. I would highly recommend hiring Lily for a group or private tour to Shanghai!

Upon completing our travel plans to Shanghai our family wanted to do a guided tour. I contacted Lily and she responded very quickly with an itinerary for the evening.
