Li is very personable and a fantastic storyteller. He has a lot of knowledge of the food and drinks we tried and told us the origins of many of the dishes and drinks. Definitely come hungry and ready to eat before this tour there is plenty of food to eat. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to try and learn the various dishes around China like Hongkong and Sichuan

This was such a fun food tour and a great introduction to various regional cuisines. Li selected dishes from different regions in China and explained how they were cooked, the origins of the dish and other interesting bits of background. He was very good at encouraging me to try all sorts of food and drinks. I loved most of it. Though there are a few Chinese delicacies I will happily never try again. Li and his trainee Holly were great company and I can recommend this tour.

We had a fabulous tour with Topher. He's lived in Shanghai for years, and is happy to share his knowledge of this fascinating city. The places we went to eat were just what we wanted - nothing too heavy for a morning tour, and we were left feeling full but not too much. 10/10 recommend this tour.

Excellent tour, discovered hidden gems on this breakfast for champions walking tour. Food was great, nice stories by our guide to understand the history and food habits better. Would fully recommend this.

What an amazing experience. Li was super friendly and informative. Even took us to other interesting sites. Also was very helpful in answering some other unrelated tourist questions for us. The food venues were amazing, the food was super tasty! Worth every cent and every step.

The tour was really good, however one of the recommended restaurants, the Hong Kong cafe, didn’t accept foreign cards when we went back. :(

We enjoyed the tour and learning about an area of Shanghai and especially the wet market. The food was good but a little bit of overlap with the food choices because we had already been on the dinner tour in Beijing. Paul our guide was informative and engaging.

We had an exceptional experience with Christopher. He met us at our hotel and had a luxury car pick us up to start our tour. He shared information about the history and culture of Shanghai, as well as the food culture for breakfast in Shanghai. The food choices were excellent. I could have eaten the Shanghai pancake everyday. He was also very conscious about portion sizes. While he was more than willing to order us lots of food, he allowed us to select portion sizes so we felt full but not stuffed. After the tour he stayed in contact and help us with a few restaurant recomendations and hard to find shopping information.

This was an amazing tour, amazing experience, amazing food, and an amazing guide, Li. Li meet us at our hotel, coordinate a car to take us to where the tour started, and shared with us some amazing food while helping us to understand food, culture, and food culture in Shanghai. This tour was on the day we arrived in Shanghai, which was the perfect way to understand a city through its food. I wish we had more time for more experiences with this company.

My wife and I had a great time with Paul. All the food was delicious and there was so much of it. Paul gave us great insight into shanghai life and history behind the food too. Highly recommend.
