Indulge in Costa Rica’s two most beloved exports on a combo coffee and chocolate tour near Arenal. Visit a working farm to see firsthand how raw coffee and cacao beans are grown and transformed into fragrant coffee and silky, delicious chocolate. Sample gourmet products straight from the source, and even make your own handcrafted chocolate bar. No need to worry about Arenal’s unpredictable weather, as all tour components are held under shade and rain structures.
What to Expect

The main feature of Don Juan Tours Arenal is the infrastructure, it is well known that Arenal area has a very changing climate, from very sunny and humid to heavy rains with a thunderstorm. That's why this tour will allow you to enjoy a place protected from all these sudden changes of the weather since the trails are all under roof, so customers will have no reason to worry about sun or rain.

You will enjoy two tours , the coffee tour which begins knowing about the wonderful history of coffee in the world, followed by a little bit of history  and its importance in the socio economic development of the country.  During the tour you will hear  and see all the coffee making process from the seed to the  cup.  You will learn how to make coffee in the artisanal way as well taste the different roast. This part of the tour has an approximately duration of 1 hour.

Your next  next adventure is the famous chocolate tour. In the chocolate section, you'll learn everything about chocolate and see how the cocoa seed  transforms  into chocolate, as well after seeing all these process you will have the chance to make your own artisanal chocolate bar from scratch, as well try the Goddess Drink (just like indigenous did), so be prepared to eat and drink lots of 100% chocolate. This part of the tour will approximately 1 hour.

Once you are finished with both of the tours, you'll visit our souvenir, w to shop or walk around the property.
