This is an extremely small place to explore. We didn’t see anything but a frog and a kingfisher bird. They have a butterfly enclosure with lots of butterflies but I didn’t go there to see butterflies. We were finished with our guided walk in less than an hour and the guide didn’t seem interested in looking for anything to show us, probably because there was not anything to see in such a small place. They put fruit out in the reception area in the trees to draw in the birds but nothing was there on our visit. Very expensive at $50 a person. Would not recommend as there are better options in the area.

We had a fantastic tour of Danaus Evo center and butterfly garden. Our guide was Hugo of Jacamar tour company. Hugo is very knowledgeable about the birds, reptiles, flowers, and butterflies that are cared for there I highly recommend this tour

Not as great as the reviews. Overpriced for what we saw - we walked it in 30 minutes during which time we saw a few birds, lots of butterflies in their enclosure and that was it.

The butterflies were super neat and the staff is amazing! There was also a cute souvenir shop as well. Overall, an incredible experience!

This was our first tour. We were the only ones on the tour with our guide. Before we even got the Butterfly garden our guide spotted a red poison dart frog, a wood thrush, a Mot Mot AND a Mama Sloth with a baby!!! We got some amazing pics with our guide's scope. I could see everything with my binoculars, but the scope of the guide was amazing. Then we got to the Butterfly Garden which was lovely. Got great pics. Our guide was super knowledgeable about all the species we were seeing and we definitely got a good education while on the tour. I felt so lucky we got to see so much on our first tour!

The tour guide was very good, very detailed and very patient. He'll take pictures for us. At the end of the journey, sweet fresh fruit is served!

Night tour, very blahhh, long, boring and way overpriced. Very little to see, few frogs, a sleeping bird, and a couple small caymans. Maybe daytime would be better

This is a lovely haven of nature and wildlife where you can spend a few hours. I did an excellent guided tour and was shown many new birds, lizards and even a caiman! It was very quiet and peaceful with hardly anyone around and a wonderful, very active bird feeder with a huge variety of birds. A great way half-day destination while in Arenal.

I had read reviews & selected Ecocentro Danaus because it offered so much - and it delivered! Not only did was our guide thoughtful & informative, but the propery provided great views of flora & fauna - as well as a brief presentation by an indigenous person from Costa Rica. We particularly enjoyed that as well as the butterfly area. Amazing photos will help us remember this wonderful place.

Guided walk of an eco project restoration forest. Saw a sloth, cayman and many birds, butterfly farm and tropical plant collection. Guide extremely informative, lovely welcome service, easy walk on gravel paths, highly recommended.

incredible!!!!!! there were animals everywhere it was amazing!!!! so many animals we didn’t see on any of the other tours we went on the whole trip!!!!!!!

We toured with Melvin and had a wonderful time looking at all of Costa Rica's key types of wildlife. He was very accommodating of our young kids (2 and 4) and helped them view many animals through a phone camera looking into his binoculars. The 1.5 hour daytime tour was completely worth both the time and money.

Highly recommend this tour!! Leo was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the habitat space from crazy fungi to blue Jean frogs, sloths and much more. My husband and I had a blast !! Thank you Leo for such a great experience!!

A great tour. We did a private tour and our guide (Joe I think) was really knowledgeable, great at spotting the wildlife and very good with our young child! Saw 4 sloths (including a baby and a young one) toucans, Jesus lizard, 2 cayman, a frog and lots of butterflies. The place itself is well run and was quite quiet when we were there. I’d really recommend it - wasn’t commercialised and seemed to be genuinely about protecting the wildlife.

Filled with beauty on every turn. Birds, butterflies, reptiles, sloth. It is wonderful to meander along the trails and see what you can spot along the way. Beautifully maintained. Wish we would have time to come back for a night tour. We did those in a couple of other locations in Costa RIca, and I have really come to appreciate those. Doing a night tour at this location must be spectacular.
