        Excellent experience!
Our family had the most wonderful experience! Marlene was the perfect guide, pointing out all of Costa Rica's treasures, from the smallest flower to the tiniest insects to the majestic monkeys! Marlene is a wonderful representation of Costa Rica. Thank you Marlene!

Great way to the nature in Costa Rica
We had a great time. Fairly calm raft ride first where we saw lots of crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, birds and more. Marcos was very helpful and has the eyes of an eagle spotting animals left and right. Next was our nature hike where we loved seeing sloths, snakes, birds and even porcupine. Allen was super helpful and even taught us how to use our cameras better! Marlene brought us safely to our destinations and guided us pointing out history, geography and nature along the way. Highly recommend this excursion! Only pointer I'd offer is to bring a change of shoes for the rafting...your feet can get wet and muddy getting in and out of the raft.

        Fantastic Tour with Marlene!!
This was our first tour and our first time in Costa Rica. Marlene was our guide for the day and she was fantastic! She has a keen eye for spotting wildlife and she shared plenty of knowledge regarding Costa Rica life. We never felt rushed and saw monkeys, capybara, toucans, etc. most of which we saw because she spotted them and pointed them out. She was obviously respected by her co-workers as they were all willing to help out to make the trip just a bit more unique. Simple things that made a huge impact.

        Amazing Animal Viewing experience!
We took this tour with our 8 and 10 year olds. We saw monkeys before we even arrived at our first destination! The river rafting was safe and enjoyable with small thrills as you pass a few class 2 rapids. The rafting is mostly in the sun so be warned it will be hot. The afternoon jungle walk was a huge highlight, as you have a private guide with a viewing scope to spot things for you and help you take pictures. We saw 2 types of sloths, 2 types of toucans, a frog, turtle, pit viper snake, leaf cutter ants, a Mexican hairy porcupine and more. Very impressed as this was our first jungle outing in Costa Rica! Also, our driver/guide was great. She showed us many things as we drove and was So great interacting with our kids.

Everything You want in One Excursion
Excellent tour and showed us many great things to appreciate in Costa Rica. The zip line was very long and well structured. Horseback riding was awesome. Waterslide was intense or easy…your preference. Lunch was delicious. A+

        ALL DAY FUN ACTIVITIES!
This is honestly the only excursion you need to book for Costa Rica to be honest! You get it ALL! Zipline, coffee, hot springs hiking, horse riding, water slide! And you gotta have energy because you really do everything on the list and none of it disappoints! I would not recommend this if you or anyone in your party has physical restrictions, they're all quite physical activities. My only complaint is that the harnesses for the zipline were really uncomfortable in the crotch. I've def experienced better harnesses, BUT the views were more than worth the pain lol!

A great day seeing the region
We enjoyed our day with Marlene, Brian, and Walter. Marlene drove and escorted us to each location. Along the way she shared her knowledge about the area and answered our questions. We learned so much. Brian was our guide on the river raft. We didn’t see much wildlife but still enjoyed the relaxing trip down the river. Walter was our guide at the rain forest. He was fun and interactive with us. He also got some great pictures for me with my phone. It was a great day to see and learn about the country.

Best Tour + Guide + Photographer!
This tour was definitely the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! Marlene was an amazing tour guide, and she should include photographer/videographer in her title as well! She was a great source of information about Costa Rica and its culture and was pleasant to talk to throughout the day. In regard to the activities, each was an absolute blast, and Marlene's experience as a guide helped us make the most of these. She knew the best order to go to ensure all activities could be completed with Costa Rica's rainy season weather and even took us on an additional hike to see a beautiful waterfall! She took a plethora of high quality photos and videos of my wife and I throughout the day which is always a great thing to have to be able to cherish the memories we made! On the way back to the resort, she even offered to take us to a souvenir shop she rated highly that had much better pricing than most others and a larger variety of items! I would recommend this tour and Marlene to anyone looking to get out and explore for a day while making some great memories along the way.

A day full of smiles and memories!
Wow! We packed so many activities in one day and each was so fun! Marlene was an amazing guide throughout and was super supportive when it came to questions or accommodations. Believe it or not, ziplining wasn't even the most thrilling of the adventures! We had a chance to ride the world's longest natural waterslide -- we rode it during a thunderstorm through the rainforest, truly such a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The resort where this adventure was based was really great; each activity felt meaningful and flowed like a well-oiled machine. Lunch was delicious and plentiful, being hands-on with the sugarcane juicing was so cool! Coffee was tasty and fresh. Hot springs at the end were so, so relaxing. A perfect end to the day -- we ended up at the hot springs and sauna during a heavy rain but it was still so serene and enjoyable. Would love to go back to this area and visit those springs again!

A lot of walking but nice excursion
Marlene worked so hard to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. The lunch was soooo good and the horses were well trained! It is a lot of walking - I don’t recommend the excursion to those with injuries or physical disabilities.

Great day on the river and rainforest
We were first picked up by Marlene, who is a wealth of information on Costa Rica. She is very accommodating and such a sweet, thoughtful person. We were then taken to the river and our rafting experience with Durman was starting. Durman is also a fantastic guide with the best eyesight in the world. I swear, that man can spot all kinds of animals! All kinds of birds, bats, monkeys, iguanas and crocodiles were seen throughout our rafting adventure. Marlene then took us to have a fantastic lunch and then off to the rainforest to see the animals. We were met by our guide, Walter. He was so exited to show us all the animals that were around. We were able to see sloths, a tapir, frogs and snakes. Walter was the nicest, most professional guide in all of our rainforest trips. He was excited to share all he knew about the animals. Fantastic fay, thank you!

An amazing, full excursion day! This is such a great price for the amount of things that you get to do. The best part, is the tour guides! They work so hard to give you an amazing experience and are so kind.

My and husband and I had a private tour with Uriel, he is an amazing tour guide that loves his country he is very knowledgeable and a great human being, during the tour we stopped at a local restaurant for breakfast and had the opportunity to take pictures on the Nicaragua lake with a view of the two volcanos, then from there we drove to Catarina a beautiful town with local shops and breath taking view. We then went to Volcan Masaya where he drove us to the peak of the crator where you can experience a wonderful view of the inside of the volcano from there you go to Granada a colonial town with up to 500 years of history and the opportunity to ride a two horse carriage, make sure you tell Uriel to have Jamie give you that ride and finally you have a boat ride at Isletas where you have the opportunity to see three species of monkeys and feed them, crossing back to CR was made easy by Uriel. Uriel really makes you fall in love with Nicaragua you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I were on a vacation in Playa Hermosa and booked a day trip to Nicaragua and it was beyond amazing. Marlene, our guide, picked us up from the hotel early in the morning, and we started our private tour with a long but beautiful ride to the border of Nicaragua. She helped us with the boarding process, which only took a few minutes. Right after, we stopped and had a delicious breakfast. What a great way to start the day! We then went to see a no longer active volcano which was filled with water! What an amazing sight! Did some local shopping and then went to see the Masaya volcano! This is an experience you don’t want to miss!

Afterwards, we stopped in the city of Granada where we had a horse carriage ride, a chocolate making experience and then a magical boat ride to see some of the most amazing and beautiful monkeys. Then one final stop was a later lunch of our choice.

Everything was awesome and Marlene made us feel like we were family. Thank you, Marlene for this amazing day, I would highly recommend that everyone should visit Nicaragua, this is an experience you don’t want to miss!

Marlene and Uriel were absolutely incredible! I can not express what a great experience this was. Nicaragua is so beautiful and the people there are just the kindest and most welcoming people. We fed monkeys on Lake Nicaragua, enjoyed the carriage ride around Granada and the chocolate factory was so unique. We purchased a lot of special treats to take home. The lunch and breakfast were some of the best food we had during our trip. The volcano is awesome and it's so rare to see an active volcano.
Don't hesitate, do this trip! You will not regret it.

The tour itself is amazing. The people are amazing. My only complaint is I was expecting a private tour and found out the day of that there would be others joining us. Thankfully, it was an amazing couple but the tour should be advertised as semi-private. Also, of they gave me the option to buy all 4 seats to make it truly private, I would of done so. Im still glad I went. NICARAGUA is amazing!

I had an incredible day visiting Nicaragua from Costa Rica! Marlene was prompt and got me to/from the boarder easily and we had great laughs along the way. Once at the boarder I met Uriel (sp?) whom I had an amazing day with! He was an amazing guide and great conversationalist! We had sufficient time at all the stops and because it was a private tour, I really got the most out of the day. There are so many lovely things about Nicaragua and I got to see so many places in one day, without it feeling rushed. Uriel even took some great pictures of me and sent them to be afterwards. Thank you Clamatours!

The one day trip from Costa Rica to Nicaragua was a great experience. Our tour guide Uriel from Clamatour was very knowledgeable and professional. I was debating on taking this trip due to taking a day away from my Costa Rica trip, but it was worth the day trip to Nicaragua. We started our day at 0515 and ended our day at 9PM. We had breakfast in Nicaragua and then did the following, visited Catarina town, then to a active Volcano, Granada town, to tobacco maker, chocolate factory, carriage ride around the town of Granada and visited all the churches they had. Did a boat ride of all the locations on the coast of Granada.

The tour picked us up at our hotel, a great feature! The ride is a little long to Nicaragua, but it's very scenic! Edwardo, our guide, met us on the Costa Rica side and walked is through the entire border crossing. The process was so smooth and fast! It would have taken hours without Edwardo. Edwardo spoke great English, and was full of information about the country! We saw historic churches, visited a cigar factory, participated in making chocolate, took a boat ride and saw monkeys, watched lava flow from an active volcano, and walked around a local market. The food included was delicious! Edwardo even set up a special horse drawn carriage ride for us as it was our anniversary. This trip is absolutely fantastic, Nicaragua is 100% worth the visit!

My friend and I booked this tour because we thought it would be a great experience. We were correct. Marlene picked us up in the early morning and drove us to the boarder. Uziel was our guide waiting on the other side for us. He knew his English very well and was very informative on our tour. I would gladly recommend this tour to everyone. Crossing the boarder can be interesting but anything after is fine. Food and history is very interesting. This is definitely a must do if you can. We did a private tour and we liked that better.

Shocked by the true perfection of this tour, the food, the sights, and the vibes. Truly loved every second with Misael our tour guide. Crossing borders on foot was the only weird part. Would go back to Nicaragua asap. Safe, very clean, and (IMO) as/more beautiful than CR😬. WAY fewer tourists.

Thak you so much for your review. It is very important to let other know about the cressing border on foot for about 100 mts. Is faster than cross a car to migration, that is why you have 1 transport in CR and switch after the border in Nicaragua. Travel light, also be prepare on thus rainy season 😘

Claudio and Marlene are two of the best guides we have ever had the pleasure of being on a tour with. Both are very proficient in english and their knowledge of both Costa Rica and Nicaragua is second to none. Two highlights were the carraige ride in granada and the stop in San Juan Del Sur. A tour with Clamatour is one you will never forget. EXCELLENT!
