Our recent sailing, snorkeling, and swimming experience on the Sea Bird was amazing. Riley and all the crew were extremely helpful and service oriented. The boat is clean and spacious and the crew knowledgeable and very informative. Despite the recent stormy weather, we were able to snorkel with sea turtles and a variety of fish inclusive of parrot and puffer fish. The snacks were fresh and delicious and being able to chose a beverage of our choice is always a bonus. Thank you for such and amazing day.

Our return to Guanacaste had to include a return trip on the Seabird. Eric, Captain, and crew were fantastic from the moment we boarded. The boat is comfortable and it was like a dream as we sailed to a spot for snorkeling and swimming. We came back to fresh snacks and of course any drink of our choice. Thank you Eric for hosting a wonderful day.

We had an amazing time inboard the Sea Bird with Pecho and the crew! Super fun time for our family of five and ages 17 to 75! Pecho was a great guide, the weather was perfect and the guacamole was the best ever.

The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. Excellent service and attentive. Highly recommend doing this over a catamaran if you have a small group.

Leslea and her crew took great care in making this a beautiful experience! We loved being on the water. While snorkeling, a sea turtle and a puffer fish were spotted. The food was delicious and the sunset unparalleled! We’d do this again in a heartbeat!

We went on a private afternoon cruise yesterday and just fell in love with Sea Bird! From the snorkeling and drinks to the sailing and sunset, this classic sailboat and her crew helped create some great memories. From the time we got on the boat, Captain Valone made us feel at home with his friendly, relaxed demeanor. He explained right away what we would be doing and made us one of the boat's signature cocktails. We motored out of Coco at a comfortable pace and took in the views of Coco and Playa Hermosa. We passed a tiny island that looked just like a silhouette of a gorilla head, and eventually wound up in an area with a small beach and coral reef. He took us out snorkeling personally and showed us where the coral was, puffer fish, and a stingray! After that, we had some snacks and the sails went up. It was fun watching the captain and his first mate Melvin work together to hoist the sails. Never having been on a sailboat, we really enjoyed watching the process. The boat itself is older, but renovations are being made and I anticipate seeing the final results, as we will be back to see her and go sailing again. She's a beauty with great character, and her owner is putting a lot of love into her. Usually there are dolphins that like to play around the boat, and we enjoyed watching schools of fish leaping out of the water and also the birds on the hunt. We were lucky enough to get some clouds near the sun as it started to set, and we toasted with another signature cocktail, the "Tequila Sunset," as it went down. Coming back into Coco was beautiful, with the beach all it up with strings of light and the water appearing inky in the dusk.

On our recent trip to Costa Rica, we took an afternoon sailing cruise With Riley and his crew. It was the most amazing experience. I looked at other cruises but they were for large groups. Our cruise had 6, which gave us a chance to get the real sailing experience. The boat was a 47' footer which gave us a lot of space to move around. First, we sailed for about an hour to get to the beach where we could snorkel. This was my first time to it. The crew were vary helpful in getting me setup and coached me until I was comfortable. This was an experience that I will never forget. After that, the crew had prepared fresh tropical fruit and other snacks. We then sailed back to the harbor where we saw a sunset that was the most beautiful sight. If you want an intimate trip to get the feel of sailing and not be in a large group, this is the one! Booked a sunset cruise for a group of 8. It was great to work with the boat owner, Leslea, to plan a special afternoon/evening that included a marriage proposal. Crew were very accommodating and made sure we were having a good time. It was really a special evening. One of our guest unfortunately left a purse on the boat. It was quickly located and Leslea made a special effort to meet us the following morning with the purse.

Our sailing excursion with Sea Bird was absolutely superb and one of the most memorable days of our holiday - one we will remember for many years to come. The sail boat itself was spacious, clean and felt so luxurious. We saw heaps of dolphins up close, swimming alongside the boat, went snorkelling and saw a cave. The crew were so friendly and professional the whole time, and they kept serving drinks and we had delicious food to eat.

Sunset and snorkeling cruise was amazing. Crew was attentive and knowledgeable. Food was great. Lots of drink choices. Saw lots of fish while snorkeling Excellent!!!

The crew was exceptional, locals and very knowledgeable. The boat was fine but could use some TLC. The ladder getting on and off the boat didn't appear to be safe. Good value for money. We would do it again.

We were picked up at the beach of playa del coco. They were waiting and took us to the boat. We traveled north and saw many beach and scenery of the land and sea. We were offered drinks and fruit and snacks that were fresh and cool. We stopped at a beautiful beach and had time to snorkel and swim. The crew were fabulous and told us history and answered questions. On the way back we had an added surprise and saw dolphins swimming along side the boat and jumping out of the water.

A little pricey, and the boat definitely needs some TLC, but we did have the whole boat to our party of four, like a private cruise!The local crew were very friendly and helpful. The wind was a bit strong initially so we motored up the bay to a beach, but not good snorkeling, shallow and murky. They need to find a good sheltered rocky snorkeling area. The winds died down approaching sunset and with a little encouragement to the captain, we had a good sail into the sunset on our way back. We enjoyed the sailing part the best ( the reason we chose this cruise). Overall a good afternoon on the water and some great sunset shots!

What a great afternoon on Seabird! Our family group of 9 loved it. From sailing, swimming at the sandy beach, ocean fun with noodles, snacks and drinks, topped off by a beautiful sunset. Our crew was so accommodating! This was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica.

Our family of 5 had a lovely morning sailing and snorkeling with this crew. They were very attentive ensuring we always had a drink in hand. The water was warm so nobody got chilled while snorkeling. We mainly saw schools of colourful fish and spikey sea urchins. The fresh fruit and guacamole and chips were also a highlight. The wind picked up on the way back and we sailed all the way back to Coco.
