This is an amazing attraction! In addition to the waterfalls there are many interesting exhibits: monkeys, wild cats, snakes, frogs, orchids, gardens and more. We spend several hours here on our way from San Jose to Hotel Arenal Manoa. We enjoyed a delicious Costa Rican buffet lunch after our tour of the waterfalls and exhibits.

The guide was so helpful, knowledgeable and flexible! Even though it rained in the afternoon, the hot springs were a fabulous way to end the day and relax. We were not at all tired by the end of the day. We had an amazing time!

We had a free day before all of our family gathered I. San Jose to begin our vacation. We were at this point a group of 8 , consisting of 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 6-11. A friend teaching in San Jose Costa Rica suggested a day trip to the La Paz waterfall and the Animal recovery in La Paz. VIAJES NANA AND OUR guide, Mauricio Ulloa were incredible. From the start, his explanation of the day was geared to our grandchildren and they became part of the decisions made. We saw a facinating array of animals , many of which we had never seen before. Our hike to the waterfalls was truly beautiful and at our own pace. I would suggest this activity for anyone visiting Costa Rica. With or without children Mauricio Ulloa is a guide that brought our visit to Costa Rica a remarkable journey. I hope you will take the time to enjoy this activity!

Filando was an amazing tour guide. It was just me and my friend with Filando. He was super informative and had knowledge on all things Costa Rica. We did Irazu volcano, Lankester Gardens, and OrusI valley. Filando had so much knowledge of the plants at the gardens, and the volcano. We had an amazing lunch in the city of OrusI at a local restaurant. Filando was an awesome driver and felt very safe the whole time. The drives were long but Filando gave knowledge of landmarks and cities along the way during the drive. Totally worth the money.

We had a great time with our driver Andreas! It was a fairly long trek through the surrounding areas of San Jose, but the volcano itself was breathtaking. It was even emitting some nasty airs that had the mid-level alarm light blinking. All that for one low, low price! Take the trip, engage the driver, see the sights, and stop for delicious strawberries along the way.

The place is magical, but what stands out is the hard work, affection, dedication, attention to detail, the beautiful spirit of your people, the ingenuity in what they turned that place into is priceless. Food was great, friendly people. In 24 hours we were able to do a lot. Use the natural water hot springs, enjoy the view, learned about coffe plantation, 2 hour hiking, enjoy costa rica scenery from the mountain, interact with animals and farm, crops, the best tortillas and so much more".

The tour company text me the night before to cancel the reservation. I was not able to access through TripAdvisor. I need a refund for the La Paz waterfall tour, as I did not go at the tour company's request. Please let me know I will receive that refund. Thank you

La Paz Waterfall is amazing. To many steps to go dawn to the waterfall. The prolem is going back up. I am 61 and I did it. So can you. It is worth it. Take your time. Great restaurant with good food.

We went on our own (no guide) to this beautiful park. We arrived mid morning and spent around three hours wandering the exhibitions, gardens and walking the trails to visit the very impressive waterfalls. The walk is easy, on good and safe paths. The view is incredible and the flora amazing. Since it’s so high up in the hills the weather was cool but comfortable. The excellent maintenance and thoughtfulness is obvious at every corner you turn. We didn’t have lunch at the restaurant but it looked lovely. We ate at one of the “soda’s” not far from the park. Excellent food, two people including cold drinks cost us 11,000 colones. The drive up and back was beautiful. Coffee plantations abound. Great day trip if you are in the San Jose area.

It’s been a fantastic experience, I highly recommend the tour! The guide was very experienced and helpful. Take some cash with you!

wow! wow! wow! This was totally awesome. knocked out two bucket lists in one trip. 2 hour ride to zip line. takes about an hour to go down nine lines. then right next door you have the 11 km rapids trip. we got finished with all by 1pm and had lunch on landing spot of river where we had shower and changed. then 2 hours back to san jose. 6:30-4:30 pm exactly 10 hours

Excellent walk through the rainforest, the waterfall are nice. Please be sure you are fit enough to climb stairs...there are some! Lunch at the restaurant was quite poor. The big animals are kept in rather limited space, made me a lot of pain. But you can enjoy the butterflies, the humingbirds...One in all, acceptable visit.

Antonio was Great! He picked us up from a local hotel ( we took an uber there because we were in an airbnb). Then he greeted us and drove us to our first spot. He showed us the coffee plantation, and had much knowledge about it. He then took us to this cute shop on the way that had souviners, the people who ran the shop were really sweet, and had fresh strawberries and cheese. We then went to the waterfall. Antonio walked us though all the animal exhibits and then we met up for lunch. Food was really good. The waterfalls were beautiful and it was overall an easy trail. There were a lot of steps going up and make sure to hold the rail because some were slippery. Antonio was a very personable guy and we would do another tour with him in a heartbeat. 10/10

The tour would have been better if the tour guide had given us some information about the the La Paz waterfalls, etc. Also, he did not take us to see the coffee plants and the strawberries which were listed in the description saying we would go on our way back, but he drove us straight to our hotel later. Our "tour guide" pretty much drove us there, and back to our hotel.

We were lucky enough to get Arturo as your tour guide you will be in for a great time. We were picked up at the location we were staying right on time no Tici time. Our guide spoke English and Spanish and was very knowledgeable. He had the grandpa wisdom that makes every tour amazing. He knew all the animals and s crts for each area it seemed. It was worth every dime we spent for the tour. As far as if you are being ok’ing La Paz go with this group….it’s the only way to go
