We had a wonderful time sailing; the fruit was amazing and so was the sunset! Although it was a smaller vessel there was plenty of room since it was just the two of us!

My husband & I went on the sunset cruise & it was absolutely beautiful. We had amazing fruits, pineapple juice (my husband had rum in his, I couldn’t because I’m pregnant), & overall a great experience. Herve was great, he played his ukulele which we loved. The whole experience was just beyond relaxing & perfect. I definitely recommend booking.

We had a truly amazing day sailing the lagoons of Moorea with Hervé and his assistant captain Swan. The day started off with provided transport from our resort to the dock in Opunohu Bay where the Polynesian Spirit awaited us. Sailing out of this bay with its dramatic sea to sky green peaks is a visual experience we will always remember. The course on this day was to the lagoon to the west where a warm brisk east wind filled the sails for a serene voyage to the snorkeling destinations. The snorkeling of course was wonderful with amazing fish, rays, and reef sharks. Hervé is very knowledge and shared some great information regarding the marine biology of Moorea's lagoons. To summarize our experience, if you are seeking a unique and natural way to experience the Moorea's pristine lagoons, then Hervé and the Polynesian Spirit is a wonderful choice.

As the weather was rainy and grey, Hervé went out his way to make sure he could pick an evening that actually had a sunset and that we would get an enjoyable experience. My husband and I will be in Moorea May 8, 2021 to May 15, 2021. I have tried booking this excursion for two separate days, and each reservation has come back as declined. HOW CAN I BOOK THIS????

This was the Perfect tour!! My spouse and I were staying in Tahiti and the Tour Guide assisted in providing Round-Trip Taxi service from the Ferry port to the Pick-Up location- this was a PLUS for us because we couldn’t reserve a Ferry from Papeete to Moorea to transport our rental vehicle. We were immediately shown beautiful views and told amazing stories and facts about the surrounding area. We loved the fresh fruit and local pineapple juice cocktail we were served after snorkeling in BEAUTIFUL waters! For the first time we swam with Black Fin Sharks, Stings rays and beautiful fish! The entire experience felt heavenly and a perfect romantic day on the water. Also- you get to sail on a hammock over the sea! This makes the experience even more surreal and it feels like you’re floating on a cloud the entire time. We booked the tour only a day in advance and were confirmed / contacted immediately to discuss further details and provide a smooth traveling process.

We enjoyed this Sunset sailing trip on this very unique boat. The winds were strong enough to provide some very smooth sailing on the journey out, despite some rough water and strong winds earlier in the day. We were so lucky that the weather dramatically changed to sunny at the time we sailed around 4:00 pm. The pickup and dropoff service from the hotel was great and we were dropped off near the ring road at semi-private dock in the bay. The captain, Herve, and his dog greeted us and we hopped onto the small tender boat before we got on to the sail boat. Please do wear flip flops or barefoot and very comfy outfit or swimsuits. I am glad we both wore swimming suits. I also brought a light jacket which was very useful since it got windy and chilly after the sunset. During your trip, you are sitting on the netted area close to the water and you will absolutely get splashed on from below or in front a few times. Try to protect your cell phones by putting them in your pockets or towel, or simply just hold the phone the whole time. Both of our cell phones got wet enough that they could not be used or charged until the next day from the salt water splashing into the charger area. It was no big deal, as they both worked fine the next day after drying. Remember it is cash only payment. We didn't know this due to miscommunication on the phone when we booked, but the captain was very easy going and kind enough to allow us to get cash from the hotel and just give it to the driver. During the trip, the captain served us a cocktail drink, fresh cut pineapples, and grapefruit. Herve also played the Polynesian Ukulele while we enjoyed the views. We enjoyed the beautiful views during the journey and saw sharks, stingrays and butter fish. A special Polynesian relaxing sail boat tour to remember!

We spent yesterday afternoon sailing on the Polynesian Spirit with our captain Hervé and his loyal & super friendly dog Cookie. They were fantastic hosts & took us to some great snorkeling spots and served us juice and fruit after every snorkel stop. It was fun being on a catamaran and seeing the perspective of the island from the water. I highly recommend booking with Hervé! Cookie is the added bonus!

We booked this excursion for March 2020. As a result of the Corona Virus outbreak, we were unable to attend (our airline, and cruise ship cancelled). However, Herve was very attentive and easy to deal with. He was always quick and informative in communications with us. We will definitely re-book when we have the opportunity to make our way out to the south pacific again.

My husband and I did the private sunset sailing cruise and we can’t stop smiling from the experience. The entire experience was just breathtaking and Herve was a wonderful host. He took us to a few places on the north and the west sides of the island, we stopped in Opunohu Bay to hear about the history of the area, as well as just off Motu Tiahura to see some tropical fish and have a delicious rum cocktail and some freshly sliced fruit. We ended the evening with a short sail to the West and then stopping to see some sharks before heading back. We used a mix of sail and motor depending on the direction and strength of the wind, and even if we hadn’t had the sail up at all I’d still rate it 5 stars. We can’t recommend the experience enough - Herve really goes above and beyond to make the trip special- he doesn’t watch the clock, he really takes the time to make sure you are having a good time and getting the full experience. This is a must do!

Loved this activity so much. The captain was excellent & knowledgeable. We took our two children aged 3 & 8. We went to some beautiful spots & swam with the sting rays. Highly recommended.

Herve did an excellent job and this experience is a must do if visiting Mo'orea. We were provided with some of the history of Mo'orea and shown some phenomenal views of the island. We then sail near a motu to watch the sun set. We went on our honeymoon and it was an extremely romantic excursion. Highly recommended!

Herve Was the best sail boat tour guide ever! The weather wasn’t perfect but it was our last evening in Moorea and we really wanted to go so he still took us out! We still got to see a beautiful sunset! He was very personal and told us many stories gave us fresh fruit and even offered us a beverage! He was so kind, considerate, and amazing! He offered to pick us up and even personally dropped us off! We would definitely recommend this sailing tour to anyone who wants to see the beauty of moorea from a sail Boat and meet an amazing guy! He even took us to see black fin sharks which we were thrilled about :) thank you Herve!

This is a Fantastic trip and I can’t recommend it enough. We did the sunset boat ride and the afternoon boat trip, as we loved it so much. Herve is excellent. He tells you about the island and looks after you well with fruit and drinks. The view of the island is not to be missed, plus the opportunities to snorkel and swim with amazing fish. Herve also has a bond with the rays and we had a chance to get up close with them. Definitely book with him direct. This is a MUST do in Moorea! We all loved it especially my two children aged 9 and 11.
