Great experience from start to finish. The Catamaran was maxed out to 8 so it was a very comfortable cruise. The other cruisers were a fun group to sail with. Captain Kevin was very fun and full of life. He was very knowledgeable and provided a great attitude. The weather was beautiful and we saw a great sunset, as well as witnessing a surprise engagement. All around great experience and must do while in Moorea.

We had a wonderful time with Captain Leo on our sunset cruise. After being picked up at our accommodation we were taken to the area where the boat was moored. A quick dingy ride and then we were onboard the catamaran. There were two other passengers on the catamaran with us and we all chatted and enjoyed each others company.

We went into both bays on Moorea plus out in to the open water. We enjoyed mai tai drinks and some great history and information about the areas we were visiting.

The sunset was fantastic and just as we were heading in there was a boat with a singer onboard providing a live concert. Many small boats were tied to it enjoying the tunes for the evening.

Great experience and many thanks to Leo for the evening (along with pictures) and Liza for coordinating the logistics.

The weather was perfect and the cruise was a great way to enjoy viewing the mountains of Moorea and watching the sunset. Captain Kevin was very pleasant and provided historical and cultural context to sights we saw on the cruise. Very enjoyable way to pass two hours!

This was a really lovely way to spend an early evening. Captain Kevin was friendly and extremely knowledgable, sharing stories of the area with us. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best for a sunset, but we still had a really enjoyable evening on the water and appreciated all that Kevin did to make sure we had a fun time.

I was really excited about this sunset sail and couldn’t wait to get some beautiful pictures and relax on the water. Unfortunately, that is not how our trip went down. We were picked up from the hotel in the back of a 4x4 truck which we have seen other tours do. Then we got to the place on the roadside where we get in the dingy boat that takes us to Taboo. All 6 guests from the truck squished into the dingy boat which had wet seats so most of us had wet pants/dresses right away which was not ideal. Then we got on Taboo, which is very nice, and the rain and wind and waves took over. The captain tried his best to get us to calmer places but most of us were soaked from waves coming over the side from early on. He also tried to give us some history but had little time as he battled the wind and it was also very hard to hear him because of the weather. The six of us collectively asked to just go back home early because truthfully, it was not dry or relaxing at all. We were cold and wet and there were no towels. We managed to grab a picture each before we got off the boat, but definitely not the picture we were all hoping for (dry, happy, relaxed, makeup still on our faces instead of being washed away by waves).

I truly think this trip should have been rescheduled for us before we even set foot on the boat. One of the guests called ahead to ask if we would get wet, and was told not at all. I checked my email so many times leading up to it to see if they canceled due to the windy weather, and they didn’t. When another guest said the wind was up in the 30s (in knots, I believe), the captain seemed surprised and asked which app he uses. But the guest was an avid boater so I don’t believe he made it up or used anything incorrect.

All in all… I’m sure this is such a lovely ride in good conditions. The people were lovely and the boat was very nice, but this ride was not enjoyable and not at all what we thought it would be.

Hi Erin, Sorry the tour didn't match your expectations. That day the wind direction was off shore which insured flat water in the ocean. This is our primary concern regarding the safety and confort of our passengers. Regarding the wind strength, in Moorea it evolves quickly with the clouds passing over the mountains and can drop at anytime on windy days . As you could see the boat can handle it without any safety concern. We adapted to passengers request and came back quicker than usual to a protected area so we could stop the boat and end up the tour enjoying a nice sunset, offering drinks, taking pictures for all of our passengers. Do not exaggerate about the captain abilities, the weather conditions or the others passengers feelings. Best regards Léo and Liza

We had a great time on the sunset cruise and Captain Leo was an excellent guide. The waves got a bit rough for a few minutes, but he expertly steered the catamaran back inside the reef. The sunset was beautiful and we enjoyed the cruise. Highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
The best experience we had on the island. Very reasonably priced, memorable and romantic! Everything was a top notch, from our tour guy, to the drinks and the boat itself. Highly recommended! We did it on our last day and sunset and views were absolutely spectacular and breaking!
Thank you! 🙏🏻☀️❤️🌊 ⛵️

We booked through Lisa Corso at Tahiti Legends and we did the sunset cruise. It was so beautiful and relaxing! The sunset was gorgeous, and the captain was happy to take multiple pictures of us which was very nice. They made us mai-tais that were really good and they gave the ladies hibiscus flowers to put in our hair. They history and facts we learned about the island was really interesting.

This was an awesome way to relax in the evening before dinner. We were fortunate enough to see some spotted rays and tons of flying fish. Leo was great, he shared stories of Moorea and taught us about local culture. We were on the cruise with 2 other couples which was nice, we were able to converse while Leo was taking us to each location. Unfortunately it was cloudy the day we went out which was disappointing but we had fun regardless!

Hi, thanks for your message. We are happy you enjoyed the Sunset Cruise with us. Sorry to hear about the clouds. Sometimes it is unfortunately part of the game. Thanks for your understanding and the great review about our service. Leo is working hard to fix the cloud issue for your next trip to Moorea ... we promise ;-)

Awesome experience with great views, good drinks, and a captain that is able to break language barriers of multiple groups to make sure everyone has the same great experience. I’ve spent some time sailing in the French Polynesian Islands prior to
this trip and this excursion trip was a small slice of memory lane for me.
A MUST DO!
