      Duck! Duck!
This was truly an informative, fun, and beautiful tour! Special kudos to Captain Mike and Guide Garrett! Both men are welcoming and humorous. Garrett's commentary throughout the trip was thoroughly enjoyable and often hysterical. The places of interest in the streets of Ketchikan were interesting, and the sights on the water were splendid. I also like that the tour lasted less than 1.5 hours. It was time well spent!

      Disappointing
We've been on duck tours in every available city and have always really enjoyed the vibe and information. This one in Ketchikan was a big disappointment. We had perfect weather and the route taken is interesting and beautiful, but we were at the end of the tour season and the tour guide had a bit too much sarcasm and almost annoyance of the town itself. She was not from Alaska -- from Florida. And was really not a fan of the place based on some of her comments. I understand the cruise ships/duck tours bringing in outside guides, but at least pretend to like the place for the tourist's sake. We got off the tour really disappointed that we'd spent that kind of money just to listen to the deep sarcasm and basic boredom of th guide.

      Duck tour fun
The Garrett and Jonathan made the tour fun and informative. Jonathan made a smooth transition from bus to water craft.

      Great staff ; Interesting Tour
The tour was great because of the charismatic driver and guide, but if it wasn't for the very unfortunate landslide that had happened the day before we went, I don't think there would have been much information given or things to see during the water portion of the tour.

      Great tour
The Gillian Capt, Mike and 1st Mate Tony were awesome! They were informative and funny. We booked directly with the company and not through the ship excursions (better price and available times). When our cruise ship moved our due back time up an hour, they were very understanding and helpful. They made sure we made it back in plenty of time to catch our shuttle bus back to the ship. I highly recommend this company!!

      Fun, Family-Friendly Trip
Our tour guide, Alex, and captain, Jonathan, were great. Full of information and fun jokes that made our trip enjoyable. We lucked out with truly incredible weather of about 75 degrees and sunny. We were comfortable on the duck but it still got quite chilly on the water, so bring layers and dress warmly if it's not so warm outside. I learned a lot about Ketchikan's history, which I enjoyed, but we weren't lucky enough to see any wildlife at all, which was a little disappointing. We enjoyed the Salmon Ladder and seeing more of Ketchikan than we would have if we just walked through the shopping area.

      Great time
Miguel and Garrett were awesome, we really enjoyed our duck boat tour. The information about Ketchikan was great and then the boat driving into the water was super cool. Then we saw a whale next to the boat!! This was our last excursion in Alaska and it was a great end to our trip.

      Ketchikan Duck Tour Adventure
The duck tour began on Pier 4 and was easy to locate. The hostess, Kensa, was delightful, charming and knowledgeable! We enjoyed her commentary as well as the Captain's whopper fish story he related from a previous fishing expedition. I also loved how the Captain pulled over at the salmon ladder so that we all could see the salmon swiming upstream. Super neat!! We got a great tour of Ketchikan along with the water adventure. We highly recommend this tour.

We did the afternoon tour with Captain John and Garrett. These gentlemen provided lots of information and made the tour fun for everyone aboard. It was a great little break from all the walking we had already done. The price was reasonable and would recommend doing the tour as a means to see other parts of the city and to learn a bit about the history of the area.

We had a lot of fun on our Ketchikan Duck Tour. The driver/captain and co-pilot narrator were funny and engaging. They gave us a nice land tour first, then we toured the harbor and saw a seal they called "Sam" swim around the boat and act playful. It was a nice shore excursion that was different from our last Alaska Cruise and less expensive than the excursions offered by Celebrity Cruises. I recommend this for all ages - it's a fun adventure!

The tour guide Genevieve was informative and engaging! She kept us laughing with some hilarious dad jokes and was so great at answering our questions. Captain Jonathan was also great and made sure we had a smooth ride!

We also actually left one of our backpacks on the duck and didn't realize it til we were back on the shuttle to the NCL dock. I called the office and she drove out to meet the duck, got the backpack, and drove it all the way out to the ship terminal for us! They are all incredible and it's such a great team. If you have just a couple hours in Ketchikan we highly recommend their tours!

The Ketchikan Duck Tour is an Historic City and Harbor Tour, all in one. The 90-minute tour starts in town, going past several notable sites, which are narrated and explained by the tour guide. You’ll ride aboard the new redesigned Amphibian Duck Boat, which is an improvement from the 1940’s era vehicles, which were used in the beginning. After the town portion of the tour, the boat drives right into the Tongass Narrows, where one learns about the fishing fleet, and how to recognize which type, and the history of the Ketchikan International Airport.
There is no food aboard, and no restrooms. Use the restrooms at the Tourist Information Building, and eat elsewhere. One will need to be able to climb a short ladder, 9 rungs, to board the Duck, and the captain and guide are available to help. Mobility devices are stored safely off the Duck boat, and are returned to the boarding ladder at the end of the trip.
The seating area is covered and has clear plastic sides for viewing and photo ops, in case of rain. Dress warmly as if you were outside. Bring your camera!

We sat on the bus / boat for 30 mins while we waited for 5 people to join us (they were due to be on the next tour however because they were only 5 which was too small a group they were put on ours). This was too long a wait and not fair on the passengers who booked the 12 o’clock tour. We received a safety briefing however the 5 late passengers were told to ask the rest of us about this if they had any questions. The tour itself effectively goes around a small block stopping at a small park a bridge over a creek and a main road near Dolly’s within a few blocks. Not great but the guys running our tour did keep us smiling Miguel the captain and Garret who gave us some interesting facts. We the went through a car park and into the sea , then up and down a small port before being dropped back at the ship. Overall as a group of 4 adults we were very disappointed and felt it a waste of an afternoon!! At least we had Garret’s jokes to keep us going Quack Quack - not the best

We are pleased you found the tour interesting and entertaining. Thank you for your patience while waiting a few minutes for guests to board. We have an allotted turnaround time between every tour and a 30 minute delay simply does not exist within our operational window.

Followed the instructions and called 24 hours prior to confirm, Jenny answered and said to make sure we were an hour ahead to the meeting point just to make sure we got there on time given the 10-mile distance Norwegian docked. We waited until they showed up 10 minutes prior to starting the tour and given the safety/logistics and getting old folks on board of the duck (a high-raised truck that turns amphibian), we finally departed 15 minutes after the hour was supposed to start. The tour allegedly should have lasted 90 minutes total as they say, and cost us $142. It consisted of a slow drive in a circle in town, about 25 minutes where she talked about some history which was appreciated, and then another circle down on the boat ramp, perhaps 20 minutes in the water. The most aggravating part was that after we came out of the water Captain Jonathan had her "wash" the duck for marine life or microorganisms that might stay attached. Time in which, about 20 minutes he told us his life story about how he made it in Alaska like this is the reason I paid for this tour? Jenny came back and pushed a sale of duck whistles, less than a dollar worth went for $4, to immediately after the whole bus was purchased, to tell us that actually give out free ones for a positive review to Trip Advisor. She carefully inspected phones prior to giving out the free ones. This is how a 90-minute tour was actually an hour, a sad waste of time when I could have done anything else. The pic of the amphibian getting in the water and the great reviews are so misleading. I hope that people can decide for themselves after reading this.

We are glad you enjoyed the history shared throughout the tour. Safety is a top priority and The "wash" after exiting the water helps keep our Ducks in excellent working condition. Guests typically enjoy the crew's Alaska adventure stories as well as our souvenir ducks. Sorry we missed the mark for you. Thank you for your input.

There was wonderful and interesting commentary through town and on the water. We had our two 9 yr old grandkids with us and the commentary was geared for their ears while still giving us adults the real gist. It was very rainy that day so we really appreciated that we were under the roof and dry. It was just a really great day and our kids enjoyed their time in Ketchican!!!

Duck Tour met us in the harbour straight where our cruise docked.
All staff were extremely welcoming and informative.
The duck vehicle condition was great and it was not crowded at 7:30 excursion.
Driver and onboard guy were friendly, funny, welcoming, informative about the town and history and went to the extra mile to entertain us.
However, I felt the second part of the excursion on water was a waste of time (for me personally maybe other people felt differently.)
Nothing to see there apart from water and Ketchikan downtown from the distance. Maybe they need to engage tourist more when they are on the water with giving more info on wide life or other facts or spend more time on land. This is personal opinion and other people on same tour could have felt differently.

Don’t believe all the positive reviews. They promise a “gift” if you write a five star review mentioning the guides’ names before getting off the bus. (The “gift” turns out to be a tiny rubber duck worth five cents). The tour was decent but a walk on creek street is far more pleasant and you can see more on your own. After a brief ride on the water, we saw a couple eagles on shore, which was a highlight, then 15 minutes to wash the bus down, and another 20 minutes listening to the guide’s hopes to finish college and join some charity as part of her pitch for a tip (this is their standard strategy, though the story will vary, as you can see from other reviews). However, all that said, if you want a brief tour of town and your kids like an amphibious bus, it could something to consider, but note there are less expensive tour options.
