Our tour guide was Melissa and the tour started out just across from the cruise ships port. We were fitted with cool helmets that were size adjustable in head girth and given rain jackets. A van driven by Nicole took us to the far side of the island where the weather seemed to have its own zone. The port area was cold with constant rain and high winds but the biking area was clear, warmer and only a gentle breeze. We were fitted with rain pants and fitted to the bikes. We were then shown how to use the bikes, followed by some practice. The path was along a road with a bike lane shoulder and very little traffic. We went about 5.5 miles with great water views in some areas and woods and homes in other stretches. We ended at a place where we parked our bikes and took a leisurely hike through the woods with Melissa who was very knowledgable about the flora and fauna of the area. The hiking path goes by some beautiful waterfalls and ends at a beach. It was low tide and we saw and held crabs, starfish, seaweed and there were lots of barnacles. If you go to the mud flats, lift some rocks. It is amazing what you can find under them. The walk back requires walking on some uneven rocks and up maybe 30-40 tall steps. Despite this, the pace was calm and it was not too strenuous. The E bikes are very cool. They have 8 gears but you can choose to coast on power assist. The terrain is hilly so you can get a good work out or let the motor do the work. When we got back, there were drinks and snacks waiting and they were delicious with smoked salmon and crackers with hummus and salmon dip, beer and soft drinks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or water. I highly recommend this as a shore excursion unless your idea of a fun shore day is to shop in the stores along the port all day. We were back by 1:30PM so there was even time to do that if you wanted. A post-script note: Hubby left his cell phone in the loaned rain pants pocket. I called it and Danielle answered and agreed to send it to our home since our ship had (literally) already sailed. Thanks to Tim, Nicole and Melissa for a great day and to Danielle for not letting the missing phone ruin our trip!

Start off saying, we had this trip cancelled in 2020 and 2021 but Devon, the owner, kept us on the books so when we finally made it to Alaska, we were set! Thanks Devon and I'm so glad you made it to 2022. I wish we could have met while we were there.
Our tour guides, Vince & John, were excellent! Starting with being patient with our group becoming comfortable on the bikes to so much information on the hike. We were introduced to a few different starfish and some edible plants on our hike. The guys let us do things at a pace we were most comfortable with and kept us interested in everything all around us.
We recommend this company to anyone interested in a great experience in Alaska!

I learned so much on this trip it's hard to believe it was just for fun. I really gained a higher respect for the relationship between the sea, the forest and human existence.
Logan and Checca, our guides, were so knowledgeable and entertaining they made the hike seem easy and pleasant. We even got to taste some of the natural plants that were consumed as food by the Natives.
The bikes were practically newer, well kept and comfortable. Our guides made sure the equipment was just right for our size.
Also, take the Kayak trip with this group. Again, Awesome!!!

We were picked up downtown and brought to well organized base camp to get rain gear, bikes, helmets. E bikes were in great condition and worked well for 5 mile bike ride to hike in a beautiful preserve. Guide was fun, enthusiastic and informative. Flora and waterfalls were beautiful! Bike ride back and beers and smoked salmon! Great trip. Devon runs a great outfit.

Outstanding tour and company. We booked directly, rather than go through the cruise line, because we enjoy small group tours (even pre Covid). We booked this small group tour (max 10) and were waiting for it to be canceled when only the 2 of us arrived. So surprised to hear that they wouldn't think of canceling on their customers and are fully aware this is a once in a lifetime trip for most. Two lovely ladies drove us through Ketchikan pointing out the highlights and brought us back after the tour. One guide for our tiny group of 2 on the bikes and walk. They took the time to make sure we were comfortable on the bikes before heading out and truly personalized everything for us. Logan was exceptional as our bike/hike guide and full of knowledge to share. We really appreciated all the time and effort the whole team put into our tour. Don't hesitate to take this excursion. You will not be disappointed!!

Our guide was awesome (unfortunately I’m terrible with names, so I don’t remember his name). Communication was good. Meeting on the pier went as described which is a bonus. The eco bike part of the tour was fun, not
Overly strenuous. The rainforest hike was nice. The guide took his time, telling us about the trees and the mushrooms that we found. We saw salmon that had just started jumping up the river. Even saw a harbor seal at the mouth of the river. The guide showed us where we should look for bear, but we did not see any (which was probably for the best). Guide took his time and was very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would book again when back in ketchikan

Fun activity... bikes were great and hike was beautiful. Our guide was a little reserved and didn't share much... but she was knowledgeable. We had fun watching the salmon try to make it up the rapids! After, they had a wonderful fire with delicious snacks and drinks. All in all a good day!

This was a really fun way to spend the afternoon! The e-bikes were fun for the 5 mile ride from Clover Pass to the end of the road and Settler's Cove. Our guide Eric was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and we did a mild walk through the amazing rainforest to the cove. On return we were treated to a snack of smoked salmon and crackers and spreads, and a beer for the adults! Highly recommend.

We came in with the NCL Spirit and were picked up by Amanda at the Ward Cove which is 15 min from downtown Ketchikan. She brought us to the starting place where we met Vincent & Checca our 2 tour guides. We were the only 2 participants on the tour and very much appreciated that:
- they didn't cancel the tour, and
- they accommodate our request to cut the tour short a bit so we still had some time to visit down town Ketchikan.
Both the drive and the hike were nice. A lot of information during the hike about the woods and the totem pole legends. We enjoyed it.
At the end of the tour we got some drinks, humus and smoked salmon dip. Nice surprise.
Amanda drove is back, at our request, off downtown so we could still spend some time there.
Thank you Amanda, Vincent and Checca for being so accommodating.
