Trip was amazing dropped crab pots, whale watched, saw eagles, seals, deer, and did a little fishing. Definitely would recommend taking this trip!

From the moment we got in the boat, it was first class. The boat was spotless, and Scott, Colby, and Asher were dialed in and ready for fun..... and boy did they deliver. We traveled to a "secret fishing spot," and trust me, I asked because I'm a local, and I wanted to know in case of an emergency (lol). We traveled roughly 45-55 minutes to this spot and instantly started catching fish. We fished for a couple of hours, and Scott suggested we move. As soon as we dropped lines in the water 20 minutes later, BAM, see the picture! As a local and in the tourism business myself, Scott and Colby are the epitome of first-class. It may be considered spending time to go fishing with these boys, but when going fishing in a Ferrari and you catch your limit in about 5 hours, the old saying is "you get what you pay for." It's worth every penny! Take it from a local and book your tour with Reel Alaska. You won't be disappointed. Thank you again Scott and Colby and Asher. Job well done boys!!

Colby was our captain, we had booked a 4 hour salmon fishing, if I would have known we didn't actually leave the harbor I wouldn't have spent the money. As we were fishing Colby told us we should have booked a full day then we could have really fished in open water where the fish are, right then I knew this was a mistake. We caught a couple Salmon and one rock fish which he quickly threw back because we were salmon fishing which I didn't really understand. He text us asking if we wanted to start an hour early so we did hoping we would get 5 hours even if we had to pay a little more but ended up only fishing for about 3 and a half hours. We did get to watch Colby eat chips and listen to country music the entire time, went to get a coke and found he had drank them all. It didn't seem like he cared about fishing he just yelled over to other boats and joked with them maybe this is normal but it was our first time fishing here. He didn't even offer to take a picture of all of us with the fish, we quickly dropped them off for processing and back to the dock as he was making plans for his afternoon.

Best fishing day ever. Reel Alaska Fishing Charter with Colby Witt was amazing. All 5 of us fished for King Salmon and Halibut and limited out. Biggest King Salmon I have ever caught myself. We could not of asked for a better captain. We joked around and had fun while catching the catch in a lifetime. If you would like to have a great trip Reel Alaska Fishing will get the job done. Have fished in Ketchikan before and this has been our best catch.

Colby took us on the greatest fishing trip ever. We have been to Ketchikan a few time fishing and this ended up the best ever. Colby was great at getting us on fish and getting them in the boat. I would recommend fishing g with Reel Alaska as we caught great Halibut and King Salmon. We all limited out. Great trip with a new friend.

Very disappointed! there were six of us who booked a fishing charter, while on an Alaska Cruise. We all feel like we paid $2900 for a boat ride instead of a fishing charter. Our guide Colby, seemed was nice but kept insisting that we drop our lines to hit bottom them crank 3-4 times up. My husband and brother in law both decided that they would not follow this and they caught 4 Halibut. The rest of us who followed the guides instructions did not catch anything. At the same time the sister boat was always near us, they were also people off our cruise but were supposed to only be a 4 hour charter. Our charter was for a full day. After 2 hours Colby said we were going to start Salmon fishing. We caught 6, we wanted to keep going over the area where the Dalon were hitting. But Colby said that we needed to start back. My husband told him several times that we did not need to be back until 3:00 or 3:15 since the ship was not to leave until 3:30. Colby mentioned that he needed to take his boat in to have it checked for maintenance. We all felt so let down and short changed on this fishing trip. I am so unhappy with Scott, for the last 10 months since I booked this trip he kept saying you are going to be so happy with this full day charter, you are going to catch so much fish. So unhappy would not recommend at all.

Great trip, Scott knew his business. Managed to pull in 1 halibut each. Day didn’t start well but not Scott’s fault, no current. Moved to his special spot and scored. Definitely check him out!!

Kaylee was a great deck hand and our captain the best spotting baby humpbacks and seal lions. The eagle was fantastic and so close! Great value and experience!

Captain Scott and Asher did an amazing job on our halibut fishing excursion. Scott was great at communicating and preparing us for the trip and answered all our questions throughout. They were both knowledgeable and extremely passionate about fishing and making our day special. Scott took us out to one of his spots and we got right into cod and rockfish. He floated the idea out of a second close by spot to get into the halibut and I’m glad he did. We caught our max and was a very successful day. We returned back to the dock and he brought them to his processing company and they filleted and shipped them home to us on our chosen date. Scott has all top notch gear and a great boat for fishing. Thank Scott, for making our time with you in Alaska unforgettable!!

Awesome experience with Scott!! He was fun to be around and informative. He put us on the perfect spot for whale watching and found the fish right away. If we are ever in Ketchikan again, we WILL book another trip with him!!! 5 stars plus for sure!!

We had an amazing day with the best guide ever Colby! We were on our first pass and had two on at the same time! Was so much fun! Saw 3 humpbacks and an eagle as well. We ended up hooking 14 coho salmon reeling in 10 in less than 3 hours until the wind and rain sent us back to the ship. Colby was awesome. Picked us up at the ship and brought us back. Colby knows what he is doing! An experience of a lifetime!!!

Fantastic trip all the way through! Great Captain, Colby was informative and a fun personality to mix with our crew of guys. Fishing and weather were great.

We went on a private charter which included my group of 4 and it was fantastic! We were on a cruise so we only had time to do a half day charter otherwise we would’ve done a full day, but even with half a day we came out with 4 halibut (1 each)! We only had about 45 minutes to salmon fish after getting our halibut, and unfortunately did not catch any but we did have a great set up for it and I’m sure we would’ve caught some if we had more time. Colby was great and helped with everything from setting up our line to taking pictures of us with our catches. He was very personable and friendly. We definitely recommend this charter and I’m sure we’ll be back again! P.S. Apparently bringing a banana on a fishing trip is bad luck fyi 😅

Scott did an amazing job with our tour. We had the opportunity to see whales and go into Misty Fjord National Park. The boat is small yet comfortable with indoor room for the 6 people in my family, he communicated clearly throughout the whole process, and was VERY attentive to my family's needs. No guarantees that you will see all of this, but we had a chance to see a pod of orcas, eagles, porpoises. We didn't do the fishing, 10/10 regret not booking a fishing charter.
