We took a somber walking tour of where Mandela and Gandhi and others were incarcerated over decades. Most were anti-apartheid activists and revolutionary leaders. Visited the Women’s Goal; Old Fort; Constitution Court; Number Four; Great African Steps

It was great to meet Mo at the Soweto KYP Kliptown Youth Program) as experience for ourselves the excellent opportunity and education they offer to the youth. Our guide KB was a knowledgeable, extremely informative, non judgemental and very friendly guide. He answered all our questions with an open mind and allowing us to experience Soweto as it is. The apartheid museum is a very sobering experience. Constitutional Hill offered a good to experience to all sides of the legal system. All in all a very enjoyable, confrontational but educational day. Highly recommendable to everybody. Cees, the Netherlands

The tour operator cancelled our tour due to “adverse weather conditions” although it was sunny all day. My tour experience was speaking to viator.com advisor to get the refund.

We really Kruger safari What an amazing trip.! Saw at least 20 different species and 4 of the Big 5. Our guide John was very knowledgeable. A careful driver and fun to be with.

Our safari experience with John was really one of a life time. From the time of pick up until the end of the trip we were served like kings. It was a nice drive across the Kruger and also hour drive, and John provided great conversation and insights about S.A. I will definitely recommend.

This Tour has just provided me with so much insight and knowledge about nature. Most importantly it was the perfect way to actually relax and chill with the family.

If you’re questioning whether you should book it, JUST BOOK IT. We were beyond impressed about the experience and it was great. We loved the way the guide was just so knowlegable and the adventures, the route was easy to understand and map out and we were very comfortable and the guide is just a straight out great guy who wants to make a difference in regards to tourism in South Africa. We felt connected to the land and to our hosts, it was awesome. The best travel experience we have ever done so far.

I only have few days after business trip. I chose 2 days trip from Johannesburg to Kruger National Park. John was very good guide, and we have a good and fun conversation during 4 hours on the car to Kruger. He took very good care for customer, and well plan for the trip. It was a good experience to have a short vacation on the adventure trip.

We booked with Masala’s travel for 7 days. We had a great guide named John who was super nice and very acknowledgeable. He would take us to some special places we would have never known about if we didn’t have him as our guide! During our safari... we were able to see the Big Five!! We were so happy as a lot of other people we have chatted with only saw four. The only thing I would suggest is if you don’t already have lodging accommodations... pay a little extra and stay at a lodge or hotel close to one of the gates near Kruger. We didn’t have the best experience at Kruger Adventure Lodging.

From the minute he picked us up from the airport on our arrival we knew we made the right choice. John went out of his way to help us even when it was out of our arranged times. John worked very hard to make sure I had a great day. He’s very knowledgeable and accommodating. When we stumbled onto something in Pretoria that interested me he let me explore it without deterring me in any way. I could have used more time in the Apartheid Museum and Soweto and less at the Voortrekker Museum but that’s a personal preference. We had a terrific authentic meal in Soweto. He kept me safe and happy and I learned a real lot from him.
