Tim Smith at Wildside Tours arranged and accompanied my wife and I on a multi day safari in Kruger National Park. Tim is a knowledgeable professional with a nice sense of humor. He is well connected, communicates clearly and quickly, and has reasonable rates. I definitely recommend Tim if you have tour guide needs around the Johannesburg or Kruger areas.

Tim is an extraordinary guide who takes pride in his work to give you an unbelievable safari experience. His personal attention to detail is excellent. The transportation to and from in his big van makes for a comfortable ride . As a bonus Tim takes care of all the photo needs on the trip/tour so you can enjoy the experience. A fabulous day out with a great and knowledgeable guide ( Tim ) I thoroughly recommend him he was punctual’ attentive’ funny’ and caring. My friends went horseback riding whilst i went for a bush walk with Tim ‘ we then all went quad biking and finally got to walk with elephants 🐘 it was the best Christmas eve to date ever i highly recommend Tim and his company.

We took a mini safari tour with Tim as we only had a limited time in Johannesburg but really wanted to experience the wildlife. Tim’s company was recommended to us and what a recommendation! Tim is an extremely professional and knowledgeable guide but he is also extremely friendly with a wicked sense of humour. We saw everything from giraffes and warthogs to lions and leopards but the highlight was getting up close to three beautiful elephants, an absolutely amazing experience. During the tour Tim took many photographs for our memories which were included in the tour price. Thanks Tim!

I have visited many parts of the world and I must say this one for me was a life changing experience. I never felt the magic at Ukutula Conservations of witnessing live animals up close like this especially a city guy from New York. Tim Smith our tour guide had made it all possible for my colleague and I. His professionalism along with his great sense of humor made us feel like family. He pays attention to detail in all possible angles of his job and has extreme passion for the rich nature and history of his country in Africa. Not only did I feel super safe with him but also felt like I have known him a lifetime. Excellent time with Mike as our driver/guide. We did the elephant / lion park and the experience was unique in the best way!! Mike provided superior driving and much local knowledge which was much appreciated. We only had 1/2 day to see these places and it work out perfectly.

Very beautiful trip with Mike, a funny guide with a big wildlife knowledge. He let the clients not getting home, until they are totaly amazed. :) Only then he can sleep well in the evening, he told us. Mike picked us up in the hotel at 07:00 with a air-conditioned van. We were only 2 participants, my girlfriend and I. So it was a kind of a VIP tour. We drove to the safari area, climbed to the horses and saw many wildlife animals during the tour. Mike takes all the time his camera with him and takes some fotos, which you will get for free to your mobilephone directly after the tour. I have many good pictures of us from the tour, but due to personality resons, I don't want to share it here. In our trip it was a misunderstanding, Mike tought we booked only the horsebackriding half a day. So we told him, that in the description is written, that you also have a look on the hartbeespoort dam. After he realized that, he gave everything to makes us happy and showed us the dam and some different spots which were very intresting and beautiful. We were overwhelmed after that day. I can recommend the tour to everyone, even if you never sat on a horse like me or riding every week like my girlfriend. some small details: - Mike makes you a coffee when he pick you up at the hotel - Mike takes a lot of cold Water in the van, which is for free - Mike gives you a lot of information about South Africa, Johannesburg, the language, the culture and of course about the wildlife animal, ask him if you want to know something.

Tim is an attentive and likeable person. My daughter celebrated her birthday on our tour and he organised a birthday cake especially for her. His tours are either guided by him or by his son. So you don't get just any guide you don't know. The tours are well organised, the schedule is adhered to and the price is absolutely fair. Lots of photos are taken, which are then transferred directly to your mobile phone. Tim is reliable, well organised, courteous and very humorous. I can absolutely recommend Tim.

Booking a safari with Tim was super easy! He responded promptly and went out of his way to fit us in for a last-minute tour. On the day, he picked us up right on time, treating us to fresh cookies and coffee to start the journey. Once we arrived at Pilanesberg, we set off with Tim and a driver for a morning drive through the stunning landscapes. After a delicious lunch (included in the price), we headed out for a second game drive. Tim’s knowledge of wildlife is incredible, but what really stood out was his understanding of the plants. He shared practical survival tips,while also weaving in philosophical reflections. Tim is warm-hearted, deeply knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. I highly recommend him as a guide and can’t wait to plan a longer safari with him next time.

Absolutely an incredible experience touring with this company. We had multiple activities planned on some days and our tour guide, Mike, made all the details fit together to create an amazing experience. He was very flexible with our schedule and even arranged a last minute full day Johannesburg city/ cultural day tour which allowed us to see so much more than if we tried to do it ourselves. Walking with Lions was surreal, could not believe we did that! Interacting with Elephants and lion cubs was incredible. Mike was also very patient with a big group of 9 ladies from Australia! The extras like morning coffee and taking pictures at all our activities with his professional camera, and a quick download of 500 Amazing pics to our phones at the end, was really going the extra mile with service.
