        Must Do Cape Town Experience
A fantastic day trip visiting the iconic features of Cape Town and the peninsular. Our guide, “Gift”, was brilliant throughout the trip maximising the day, being flexible with the itinerary to make sure we saw everywhere at its best. (Table Mountain was not visible in the morning, so he swapped the journey around so we fulfilled our desire to go to the top and enjoy one of the 7 natural wonders of the world !) The beautiful scenic drive went through Sea Point, Camps bay past Hoyt Bay, then the route along the amazing Chapmans Peak Drive, was rewarded with time at Cape Point, the furthest South Westerly point in Africa (A must photo op!). Then a good walk to the Lighthouse, well worth the 20min up walk for the magnificent views, before the quicker walk down. The Bar and Restaurant was recommended by Gift and was an excellent choice with great food and a terrace view across Ocean. The drive around the Cape then meandered around to Simons Bay and to the Boulders Penguins, amazing to see them in a natural environment (take the route on the right as you enter around via the Nesting areas to get a great view before then taking the beach route.) From here we asked if Gift could go via Kalk Bay before walking the beach to watch the surfers at Muizenberg, then heading making and taking the cable car to the top of Table mountain. He was kind enough to keep the tour going to show us the colourful houses and explain the history of Bo-Kapp before dropping us back to our hotel. Gift was great. He was knowledgable and enthusiastic explaining history, culture, geography and more during the tour, which went so quickly yet we finished much later than expected as so much was fitted in. The benefits of a private tour were clear on this tour, especially when you get such a. Great guide and driver. We were advised to book the entry tickets for Cape Point, Boulders Penguins and the Table Mountain Cable car in advance which saved time when we arrived at each location and I would recommend others do the same, but only through the proposer links via their tour operator. January is a great time to visit as the weather if perfect, yet the crowds are diminishing from the December rush. Thank you Cape Town!

        Good but somehow underwhelmed
The trip was good, but main problem was entrance fees for locals v foreigners. In the UK for all visitor attractions are same both local and foreign. Seems a lot unfair when prices are so different. Also if you couldn't book online you had to pay at gate and our guide paid but everyone paid differently for same sight with no special treatment or extra. People not local to area should be advised at least 1 to 2 hour early arrival incase of accidents and congestion in the mornings. Also maybe split tour up over 2 days so you. An spend longer and look at local art and curios as the day did seem a bit rushed and would have been interested in helping to support local sellers.

        Perfect Private Tour
This tour was perfect. Our guide, Jeff, was very good at timing, anticipating and information. He communicates the plan every step of the way. Cle Table Mountain, Penguins, lunch, possible Baboon sighting and Cape Point all in one day. Do not plan an additional outing. You need your full day. As he'll stop at great photo opportunities in Boo Kasp, Fault Bay and Simon Town.

Awesome experience. Tour guide Jeff was brilliant. Couldn't go up Table Mountain because it was too windy. But to see the penguins and cape of good hope was a great experience

        Avoid this company
My wife and took their tour of Table Mountain, Boulder Bay and almost the Cape of Good Hope. We received an email the day prior to departing providing us with links to purchase tickets for Table Mountain and Boulder Bay, in advance, which we did purchase. There was no reminder that there was an entrance fee for entry to Cape of Good Hope National Park, and no reminder as to how much the entrance fee was. There was a delay in the tour due to queues at Table Mountain and our wonderful guide, Wilson, managed to make up time and rejig the itinerary to make up for this time. However, when we got to the Cape of Good Hope Park we then realised that we had to pay the entrance fee. From a security point of view we had a debit card with a small balance on it, insufficient to pay the fee. We had to leave the tour, and wait by the side of the road for 2 hours for our van to return. We were not given any other option such as pay later, or even for Beyond Africa to pay and get immediate refund from the credit card I used to pay for the trip originally. My wife is semi- disabled and had to sit at the side of a road for two hours. Is this any way to treat customers? A visit to the Cape was to be a highlight of our trip to South Africa and this never happened. It is a regret that we will always have. Had we been reminded, the way we were about payments of the other entrance fees, this would have been avoided, or had you had a safety net structure in place such as the card we used to pay you for the tour being charged, we could have proceeded. Instead 2 customers, in their 60's, one of whom is partially disabled was made to sit at the side of a road for 2 hours. Shame on your company. I contacted the company for comment a number of times after this incident but they never responded.

        Exceptional Private Cape Town Tour
Our guide, Alfani, was knowledgable and engaging. We started off with a walk around Bo-Kaap, a colorful community that displays a lot of pride and tradition. We then set off to Camps Bay an area with beautiful shoreline, great restaurants and shops. The mountain tops you see above Camps Bay are known as the 12 Apostles. Next stop was Houts Bay with views of The Sentinel, a mountain considered the protecter of the community behind it. We enjoyed The Cape of Good Hope, and climbing to the Cape Lighthouse. While in the park we saw Baboon, wild Ostridge and an Eland (antelope). The tour was topped off with a final stop at Boulder Beach park and Penquin Beach. We saw so many penquins, and a Docy which is a very inquisitive rodent. A long day full of amazing sites and history.

Gift is a good and very nice guide. In addition to the main destinations of the tour, he also told us a lot about the sights along the route. He was also very flexible with us when we had to make a stop at the pharmacy. And he took some good photos ☺️

        Great Experience in Cape Town
This was absolutely the best experience in Cape Town. Jeff Mathenga, our private tour guide, truly provided the best experience for three traveling women, looking to see all that Cape Town has to offer. He was very knowledgeable on the history of all the different locations. He took us to and also was very aware of the best times and places to take on the journey of the day. This helped us avoid any major traffic and also get the most out of our experience. It is a rather long day, definitely suggest great rest the night before and comfortable shoes. I’m so glad that we were able to see so many things in one day, Jeff knew all the best spots for photos and to get a really great experience. Definitely would book again.

We got very lucky with the weather and there was only us booked on the excursion.

Our guide was really friendly and full of information about Cape Town and the places we visited. He pointed out good restaurants and other places to visit as we drove around.

Because there was only two of us on the excursion, we could be flexible with timings and the itinerary - we changed the order of the day to avoid queues etc which worked out really well. There was more than enough time to fit in everything without rushing.

Table Mountain was stunning and it was great to see the penguins and the baboons wandering down the roads.

Lunch and most entrance fees are not included in the price. I knew this when I booked and received a reminder message so I knew what to expect. The restaurant we went to was more of a formal sit down restaurant (rather than buffet style) which was a nice surprise but probably more expensive than I'd anticipated. I think an estimated cost should be included in the booking information.

We did this tour on our first full day in Cape Town and it was the perfect way to fit in a lot of the highlights of the area.

      Highly recommended.

Overall the tour was very good. It included the main attractions when visiting Cape Town, but it did feel a bit rushed. I would have liked to have more time to enjoy the individual sites. I would also recommend NOT buying the Table Mountain ticket in advance like they suggest you do... if the day is cloudy and/or windy (like it was for me) then they cancel the table
Mountain part of the tour. Even though this is not the tour’s fault, I ended up wasting R360... you can use the ticket for 7 days, but if you are not staying long, like me, then absolutely don’t take the chance.

Dear Bbambini Thank you for your valued feedback received. We are glad that you enjoyed your tour with us. It is rather unfortunate that the tour was rushed and we do apologise for this. Scheduled/Group tours have limited time spent at interest sites especially when it is a bigger group - times are very strict. We would like to inform the customers that even though the tickets are valid for 7 days, should you not be able to use the ticket, you can request for a refund within the 7 days as well. We do apologise that this information was not given to you.

I went on this trip with my husband. We had a great time. We got picked up from our hotel at the exact time mentioned by the provider. Our guide Francis was very nice. Patient, honest, very knowledgeable and have great sense of humor.
The trip went exactly as advertised. I highly recommend this trip especially if you are not spending a lot of time in Cape Town. It has the main highlights and the must see of the city.
We were accompanied by 7 other people ( a family of three, one couple and two ladies). The van was comfortable and air conditioned. We started with the cable car from the top of the table mountain. You need to buy the tickets as it’s not included in the cost of the trip, the company advised us to purchase the tickets ahead of time on line which I did and it saved us time and was a good idea.
Next we drove to Cape of good hope and cape point via the scenic Chapmans peak drive. Then we stopped for lunch at the harbor house restaurant at Simon’s town and finally our last stop was at the Boulders beach where we saw the Penguins before heading back to Cape Town to be dropped off at our hotel. Got picked up @ 730 am and back at 5 pm. I really think it was great value for money and I’m very satisfied with every aspect of our trip.

Don’t book this trip, it’s expensive and not very good at all, my driver was 45 mins late picking me up and there were only three more people on the mini bus. The way this trip was advertised it made you think the Table mountain tickets were included but once I’d booked it I was advised to buy my mountain ticket online, this costs me R360, first stop was the mountain and the driver told us the queue was about 2 hours so this would reduce the City tour, we joined the queue and sure enough it took us about 2 hours to get to the top, our driver had informed us that he would pick us up at 12 pm which meant we had about 40mins on top of the mountain, we all felt completely rushed, we then had a whirlwind tour of the City which was a total waste of time it turns out the driver had to go to another job after this one. My advise is, do buy your ticket online but either get an Uber or the hop on hop off bus.

We had a delightful day with our guide Sylvia. She ordered the trip during the day to avoid serious crowds and ensured any waits were very short. You don't get a lot of time at Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point but you get photo stops. Time with the penguins was sufficient. Lunch was at a sit-down restaurant which took away from time spent elsewhere and I would prefer less lunch time but the restaurant was good. Table Mountain cable car was excellent. Don't be discouraged by clouds as above the clouds is a warm, sunny day and Sylvia ensured that we didn't stand in any long lines to come down the mountain. Overall, the trip makes an easy business of getting to the highlights easily with a knowledgeable guide and a good driver. Don't hesitate to book.

Our fifth and final day in Cape Town and we chose a trip that would cover all the places in one day without either of us driving. From the pick up at the hotel to the return 10 hours later our guide Reuben could not be faulted . As advised we purchased the table top mountain cable car tickets on line and we were ready for the start. The entire day flowed seamlessly- the narration- the points of interest that we stopped at for photographs were the icing on the cake for the rest of the day.. the location chosen for lunch was perfect with lots of local food to select from. The penguin colony was amazing and one of the reasons we chose this tour. To see them gathered on the beach during the day time was stunning. How lucky we feel to have selected this trip. Exceptional value and a trip not to be missed

We decided to book a tour, independent from the cruise we were on. Our pickup time and place, were right on. Our driver, Armand, was exceptional. He explained everything to us. ( An aside to my review: while Armand explained everything, it was difficult to hear. The speakers were only in the front, and those of us in the back, could not hear. He turned the volume up, but it made no difference, with the sound of the vehicle.) He took the time to make sure he pointed out sights, and explained everything. Unfortunately, we had a shared tour, with 5 others. Armand told us, when we got onboard, about being on time, and it being scheduled to arriving at each location, to get to the next stop. The first stop, 4 of the group, arrived 10 minutes late, they sauntered to the van, did not comprehend what they had done to inconvenience the rest. It left a very bad taste in our mouths, but they didn't seem to care. The last stop, Table Mountain, the single traveler, went to the top to see the view. Once again, Armand, warned us to check the line to come back down, as it could get quite long, and we would hold up the others if we didn't allow enough time. The single traveler went up, and came back down, almost 30 minutes after everyone else! Had Armand not waited, and then had to move, we would have that person behind. We 4, thoroughly enjoyed him as a guide, and would recommend him and this tour again!

We were collected punctually from our hotel and the welcome from our guide Barnabas was warm and friendly. Because our group kept to the scheduled times at the various stops he was able to fit in attractions which were not included in the advertised tour.

It was an excellent itinerary and in the 10 hour tour we were able to visit all the amazing highlights which Capetown has to offer. The choice of restaurant for our lunch stop at Boulder Beach was excellent with fantastic fish dishes on offer.

The day was unrushed and Barnabas’ charismatic ad relaxed manner and knowledge of the various locations made for a perfect day exploring Capetown. We would most certainly recommend Beyond Africa Safaris to potential customers.

This tour was amazing! They came and picked us up at the Airbnb we were staying at. There were 4 others on the tour with us. I learned so much about Cape Town and was able to get some amazing pictures. I had the best seafood lunch!!! Felix was our tour guide, very informative and super friendly. He also spoke French, for the 2 French passengers. He went back and forth between English and French and it was beautiful listening to him interrupt in French. The other passengers were amazing too. We all ate lunch together. We talked about where we were all from and differences between our cultures . It was a lovely lunch and fabulous tour.
      Highly recommend!!

An excellent way to see Cape Town and Pennisula highlights. We were picked up at our accommodation by guide Sylvia and driver Zane both of whom are 2 of the friendliest people in the world! The group consisted of 11 people we headed to Table Mountain (book your tickets ahead of going). The weather was fantastic and we got some amazing views of the city from the top of table Mountain. We then went to Bo Kaap street for some photos and headed along the beach drive to head out of Cape Town. We stopped for some pictures with stunning views along Chapman's Peak before heading to Boulder Beach to see the penguins (ticket price not included). It was then lunch at a local restaurant in Simon's Town before heading back on the road to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point (ticket price not included and paid on entry). We saw some wildlife roaming too. It is a whole day trip but it went by in a flash as we covered so much! Great trip for families, couples or individual travellers. Sylvia and Zane were fantastic! Highly recommend!
