Upon arrival at the shop you will be met by the friendly OceanX crew, followed by the completion of paperwork. The experience starts with an informative safety and marine life briefing. After the briefing you will don your life jacket and head to the boat. Enjoy a 1 - 1.5 hour (weather & marine life dependent) boat ride along the Atlantic Seaboard coastline with stunning views of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles mountain range. Keeping a close eye on the ocean and searching for the Marine Big 5 of Cape Town (whales, dolphins, seals, penguins and the allusive sunfish). Bird lovers are also in luck as Cape Town offers a variety of pelagic bird life species.

Cape town Western Cape a must visit
The best of the best. If you looking for fun in the sun experience this is a must. Everything that you want to do on a day out is in walking distance from each other. Definitely great for family visits or just site seeing.

The perfect combination of professionalism and fun!
I did my PADI open water through Ocean Experiences and I couldn't recommend them more! Not only did James make us feel completely at ease while teaching us the required skills, but we had an absolute blast the whole 3 days! The perfect combination of professionalism and fun! Carla was also incredibly helpful, accommodating and resourceful with all of the required booking and admin. 5 stars all round :)

      Amazing Experience
I had the best day of 2020 so far! What an amazing experience. If I could hop on a speedboat everyday I would. So much fun, giggles and smiles, and made extra special by our very skilled, experienced and super friendly Captain Daniel who had us spinning doughnuts on the ocean and not a splash of water in the boat. Thank you Daniel for driving us safely and for making the experience super fun and exciting. will definitely be back :)

just do it and decide for yourself because my words dont do it justice
Well I came to the V&A waterfront because I needed a laptop and it took quite sometime for the contract to be resolved and at the time I didn't think much of this so I decided to go and explore a bit while a wait for them to wrap things up for me at the Store. So on the way to the restaurants I come across a gentleman who had what I can only say is the most impressive moustache at the waterfront at the IQOS stand which resulted in me buying one haha So as I came outside to the harbour I decided you know what lets book a cruise or something and see how it goes. Thats the true beauty of Cape Town there is so much to do if you are just willing to do it. so get off your ass and support our local boys and girls while the tourists are away because they need you now

      Amazing adventure
What a great experience. I am very excited to start diving as a hobby. One of the best experiences I have had in a very long time. My instructor, Kevin Ford, was absolutely great. He was patient, professional, and made the whole learning experience fun, while keeping to the importance of doing everything properly to become a good and vigilant diver. Recommended

A real Ocean Experience with OCEAN X during our stay in Cape Town.
Fantastic dive center with a lot to offer for all levels of diving. Visiting Cape Town from Ireland, the minute we stepped foot into the place we were greeted by enthusiastic professionals and dealt with Carla through WhatsApp and email (extremely handy visiting from abroad and very generous on what was on offer). Quick responses and easy payment for our booking of 2 days diving (shore and boat diving) and Sea Safari on a third day for 4 of us. Our pilot for the Sea Safari, Simon, was very friendly and knowledgeable on the species we were observing, knowing how to find them and approach them appropriately. This was a fantastic oppurtunity to view Cape Town from a different perspective on the water, seeing plenty of marine birds  and seals aswell as heavy sided dolphins, penguins and sunfish. Certainly a novelty for us. Our dive instructors, Kevin and Enrico, were very accommodating, experienced and a pleasure to dive with. Even though our group having a range of diving experience, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves experiencing new marine species and seascapes which is what it's all about! We were able to do a refresher and dive together as a group! Would highly recommend diving with Ocean X and if diving isn't your thing then definitely the Sea Safari for some water experience visiting Cape Town.

      Refresher Divers Course
I believe credit should be given where credit is due and I have to say that I was taken back by the instructor Kevin Ford! He has the most Patience I have ever seen especially because my refresher course I did today was more like my Padi Open Water Course! I was drilling him with questions the whole ride there, in the water and the whole ride back and he was cheerful, calm and like I said so so patient with two girls forgetting everything they once learnt about diving! He made us feel so so comfortable! If you ever need to do your open water, a refresher or even advanced! I would highly recommend this young gentleman and offcourse Ocean X! Thank You Guys for the wonderful Day!!!!

      Seal Snorkeling in Camps Bay
Totally recommended! This trip was a gift given by my girlfriend. Alone the boot trip to the seal islands in Camps Bay was incredible. We have seen sunfish, penguins, dolphins and so much many more. Enrico and Dan are amazing guides, doing their very best to ensure an unforgettable tour. Arriving the snorkeling place, we had around 30min with the seals. They are really curious, so it‘s not only a promise you swim with them close by a meter. Also we wanted to say, that there was never an critical situation. Guides take always care about you. So at the end fantastic 2 hours and worth all the money. All the best Juliane & Felix

I managed to do the OS today because it was rescheduled due to bad weather. Our guide Kevin was excellent and very informative, we managed to see dolphins, Seals, Sun fish the penguins and whales were shy so we didnt really get to see more than a glimpse. Worth the wait and money

A group of us did the Ocean Safari with Simon at the helm. The trip was fabulous and we saw most of the marine life we could have seen. We saw seals, dolphins and sun fish, but the highlight was seeing two southern right whales. Simon was an excellent guide and the trip was excellent. This is a great way to spend an hour and a half if you are in Cape Town.

We booked well in advance for the Ocean Safari in which we were advised that closer to the time they would let us know if it were to take place on the day if they could get more people on the trip. We prepared for the trip and were very excited however, we got to the office and they told us that they could not take us as they had nobody else booked and they would process a refund. This is terrible customer service for a reputable company!

Thank you for your feedback, we understand your frustration that you were unable to go out on the Ocean Safari. The Mango 2-4-1 deal clearly states that you have to be booked onto an existing trip and unfortunately no other pax joined on. We do have minimum numbers required to run a trip and our company policy is either to try reschedule or a full refund provided, which we honoured.

I had a wonderful experience on this 90+ minute ocean safari. Our skipper/guide Michael was perfect - expert with maneuvering the boat, knowledgeable about the marine life, and funny in his commentary. This smaller open boat was the perfect vessel - fast in getting us out to sea, allowed us to feel the sunshine and the wind and feel very close to the water, and silent when we were floating so that the whales would not be frightened off by the signature of the watercraft. And yes, Michael knew just where to go (even in the off-season that we are now in) to spot a mother/calf pair that Michael adeptly approached and then we sat and watched them surface countless times at a surprisingly close distance. I'll never forget the sound of the whales breathing in the air as they breached the surface. It was a perfect length of time and such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!

I personally suggest people to try ocean safari with SIMON than going for a ride on helicopter, very nice ride, really appreciated!!

Had a great time on the water. It was a really wavy day, so we didn't end up seeing too much wildlife, but I really did enjoy getting out on the ocean nevertheless. There were only 2 of us, but Ocean X ran the tour anyways, despite having probably made no money off of the excursion. So I was grateful for this. Daniel was a knowledgeable, friendly guide, and I appreciated that he made an effort to keep us entertained, and that he took a detour to show us how fast the boat could go.
    Thanks!

Thank you for joining us, yes the sea conditions can be very unpredictable in Cape Town. However seeing this stunning City and picturesque Table Mount from the boat is also incredible experience.
