Great way to see the main sights around Cape Town. Easy cycling at a relaxed pace with stops as required for photo opportunities. Excellent guide in Skeezo who has lived through the on-going transformation from apartheid to present day and shared his personal experiences.

We had the most amazing 8 night private cycle trip with Abie our guide. We started in Cape Town and ended in Addo. The trip was extremely well organised and Abie was an excellent guide and a lovely person to spend time with. The highlight of the trip was cycling over the Swartberg Pass! We would highly recommend Bike and Hike if you are thinking of a multi day private trip.

A fantastic day. Joel are guide was amazing The 20 k cycle was not difficult but totally beautiful. Like cycling on your own moon Ostriches baboons to add to experience and breath taking views. Great lunch of silver fish salad too. We’re both 60 and we’re invigorated by this trip

This was my wife's and my second experience with Matt, and it was just as good maybe even better than our first experience. After hiking 2-days prior with us, Matt adjusted our biking tour through Stellenbosch by adding a section through the Jonkershoeck Natural Reserve. It was incredible! The scenery was beautiful, and the 2 wine tastings were wonderful. Matt's provided an unforgettable day. We highly recommend Bike & Hike Day Tours.

We came from Brazil wanting to climb the Table Mountain, but we didn’t knew how the trail was, so we booked the guided trail. Matt was the guide who accompanied us to the top, and it was totally worth it! Such a nice guy and a wonderful company for the trip, explaining all the questions we had along the way. We went in a slow pace, stopping once a while to see the views and take photos without any rush at all, absolutely recommend it :)

Found difficult to find this and book online..knew we wanted half day constantia. Didn't find it on trip advisor. Once booked all went wel. V easy cycling on lovely light electric bike. Went to klein constantia and buitenverwachting. Abe, the guide, v attentive Good thing to do if your flight in the evening

We loved our Hike and Bike experience—it was a great family activity and an unexpected way to see Cape Town. Riding through the city’s busy streets gave us a glimpse beyond the typical scenic spots. The guide shared unique insights and stories that brought the city’s history to life. The mix of urban paths and uphill sections was sometimes challenging but manageable with the frequent rest stops. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable part of our trip.

Best thing we’ve done in Cape Town. We had an amazing guide who showed us the most interesting parts of the city that you’d never find on your own. We weren’t rushed and even stopped for the best coffee in town and tried some local delicacies on our way around.

Today we took a tour with our guide Abie. He guided us through the Franschhoek area on excellent mountain bikes. We had 3 beautiful wine tastings and a great lunch at Estate Mont Rochelle. But especially conversations about today's South Africa and the history of this beautiful country made the tour special. We found a day of cycling through the beautiful surroundings with a local to be very valuable.

Wow! Where do I begin?? I would give a sixth star if I could. This is my third time using Bike & Hike across several years and three different trips to South Africa in different seasons. Matt Fletcher, the principal and owner of the firm, is an outstanding human being and goes above and beyond to ensure that either he or one of his highly qualified guides delivers on an exceptional and unique experience. On this particular trip, Matt helped us plan - inspired by a conversation during our last visit with him - a multi-day regional cycling and mountain biking trip deep into the Cederberg Wilderness Region of South Africa. We had the opportunity to explore different areas of this region, including Bushmans Kloof Reserve, Biedouw Valley (perfect in early September for the spring wildflowers), cycling along the Olifants River north of Clanwilliam, and we included an extension into the Northern Cape to visit the Quiver Tree Forest in Nieuwoudtville. This is a special trip with my aging father, bonding over a lifelong love for cycling, that I will never forget — all while forging new experiences with a trusted guide and operator. Matt is an upstanding and very kind individual with great integrity — as are all his exceptional guides. Not only was he highly adaptable and flexible when we needed to pivot and adjust our plans (extending them, actually) only weeks before the trip, but he made great recommendations and presented alternative options each day of the trip for different weather conditions or activity levels. He’s laidback, but his business is top notch. I would highly recommend his tour operating firm Bike & Hike as a fantastic way to explore Cape Town, the Greater Cape Town Region, and the Greater Western Cape Province. Seeing South Africa on foot and on wheels is one of the best ways to experience this beautiful country, and Bike & Hike has so many great options from planned to custom tours for every age, activity level, and recreational preference and pace. We started our first full day in Cape Town with the Cape Town City Cycle private tour. As it pertains to getting the lay of the land in Cape Town, the tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Skeezo, was incredibly attentive, positive, and knowledgeable; he taught us much about the history of Cape Town and what life is like for many living in South Africa. Perfect weather was a bonus. What a great way to kick off our week-long adventure in Cape Town!
