I looked everywhere for the lions but I did not see one of them, it was nice thought, it had a great view, the only bummer is that I saw no lions.

Excellent tour. Five stars are hardly adequate to rate this trip, but since 10 stars aren't available, five will have to suffice. Paul is a true professional. Shortly after contacting Explore South Africa about a potential trip to South Africa, he responded with a detailed itinerary. He worked closely with us to tailor it specifically for our requirements of seven days instead of six. We are well traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy with our tour guide, the scheduling, pacing, sites, hotels; all of it was perfect for us. Safari guide and vehicle were excellent. He made our visit extraordinary in every way and we will never forget his kindness and professionalism. He was enthusiastic, well-informed and passionate about his work. Due to the weather, some issues came during the tour; however, Paul always had a plan B. Time and money well invested. . Highly recommended.

I had an absolutely amazing trip! Paul knows so much about the area and is incredibly friendly and accomodating. I was the only one on my trip and he worked really hard to make a customised trip that ticked all the boxes for things I enjoy doing. I did adventure stuff like a surfing lesson and bungee jumping, heaps of safari stuff including a full day in Addo Elephant park, whale watching and visiting several wildlife sanctuaries, had great meals, relaxing walks and drives with wonderful views, really the perfect diverse holiday. The accomodation we stayed in was truly lovely. Cannot recommend this company enough for customisable travel and excellent value for money. I felt extremely well looked after, which is great as a solo traveller.

My family visited South Africa with Paul Coetzee from Explore South Africa twice, once in January 2017 and more recently in November 2019. We were a group of 12 people with elders above 60 and children from 13 to 2 years old.In both cases, Paul patiently helped customise our tour over several months via email and Whatsapp so that it could accommodate all our requirements for Muslim ( Halal ) food, accessibility and safety for the children. We did the Garden Route in 2017, driving from Cape Town to Port Elisabeth for 1 week with stops for safaris and garden route views along the way. In 2019, we drove from Durban via Swaziland on to a safari in Kruger Park and then to Johannesburg. The road trips were well planned with comfort stops and lunch breaks. Each overnight stop was a real pleasure in excellent accommodation and great facilities. They were facilities I did not find on internet booking sites and that seemed to be used by the South Africans for internal tourism. So it made using a local guide very much worth it. Paul is an extremely kind, helpful, patient and resourceful person who has dealt with our shopping sprees and large number of luggage bags with a lot resilience. He showed us the best of South Africa and relentlessly searched for the animals until we managed to see the big 4. The only one we didn't see was leopard. But he extended our last day driving down to the leopard trees areas to try and find one. He is very knowledgeable and is happy to explain and share information. I would highly recommend his services to anyone going to South Africa and wish him continued success.

Had a lovely 8 day tour along the Garden Route. Paul, our guide, was genial and knowledgeable, and couldn't be more accomodating. All of the accommodation was first class, especially liked the tented camp in Addo and the fantastic views at Simon's Town. Highlights of the trip were the Addo Elephant Park, lovely beaches, the Ostrich Farm and some lovely wineries. Would highly recommend.
