Convenient, fun, intimate, and incredibly informative
Dec 2019
This tour is fantastic! Of all the tours available, we were drawn to this one because of the small size, and incredibly glad that we were. Not only does the small size make it easier to navigate the narrow pathways of the cemetery, but also makes it much easier to hear, learn, and engage throughout the tour.

The guide, Carlos, was at the meeting spot early to greet us (and called us beforehand to confirm and provide more detailed instructions for the meet-up), then proceeded to give us an incredibly fun and informative tour of the cemetery and surrounding area. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the cemetery's history and many of its residents, which he uses to tell stories about their lives and deaths that also paint a picture of the history of Argentina itself. And in case that sounds dry, rest assured he's also very funny and charming (he had us laughing out loud on multiple occasions).

The tour was so good that we decided to book a different one for the following morning that went into more of the history of the country and how it's shaped the current political and cultural environment. I would HIGHLY recommend both!

Highly recommend!
I just finished this tour. The guide was amazing - he shared so much interesting info and history that I had to find a place to sit down and make notes so I don't forget it all. We went all over Recoleta and one of the Palermo neighborhoods. We closed out our time together with him marking up my map with things he thinks I'll be interested in seeing based on our conversation. This is a great way to get an in-depth and really interesting walk back into history.

Amazing history
We took this tour, which focuses on the cemetery. Our guide, Elizabeth, was amazing and all the historical knowledge she knew of the graves and the people in the cemetery. It was a walk through Argentine history. The cemetery is gorgeous and so is the church next-door. Unfortunately it started to rain, but Elizabeth graciously gave us her umbrella. It was a wonderful afternoon despite the weather.

Amazing tour

I had a lovely tour around the cemetery with our guide Loli, she was really knowledgeable about Argentinian history which really helped bring the place alive. It’s a beautiful area to visit but without her knowledgeable explanations I would have got far less out of it. Great guide, awesome afternoon. Well worth it!

Walking tour of BA with Soledad
Apr 2018 • Family
Terrific! Soledad was a great tour guide. We covered a lot of ground in Retiro and then to Recoleta. She was knowledgable about BA and Argentine history, enthusiastic, and personable. And a coffee stop at La Biela, a famous historical cafe in Recoleta. Absolutely would recommend to anyone.

Interesting, lavish decorations
Apr 2018 • Family
Don't miss this on your trip to Buenos Aires. This tour provides an interesting story for various monuments and mausoleums, many of which have lavish decorations. We were impressed by our Argentinian tour guide Loli whose English was quite clear. Kids under 15 could join the tour for free! The tour ran at a fairly leisurely pace, allowing us to take photos. Without a tour, we would only have seen the structures without knowing their interesting stories and history, and would have had trouble finding important landmarks like Evita's family mausoleum.

A brilliant afternoon!
Thank you Soledad, we really enjoyed your tour of Recoleta graveyard, especially all the sad and scandalous stories! Seriously though, without you we might just have wandered aimlessly in the heat. We enjoyed all the Irish connections and then sitting in the shade of the tombs listening to the history of Argentinian social life and politics. Sorry we couldn’t follow you for tango dancing!
