Polo Match and Lesson Day Trip from Buenos Aires
From US$240.00
Argentina is renowned as the capital of polo and home to some of the world’s most famous polo clubs and players. On this tour, not only will you visit a traditional polo club and watch a live polo match, but you get to try it for yourself, with a horseback polo lesson led by a professional polo player.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Buenos Aires hotel, set out on the around 45-minute journey to the polo club, set amid the beautiful countryside of the Argentine pampas. On arrival, learn a bit about the history of polo as you sip wine and tuck into tasty empanadas, then see the fast-paced game in action as you watch a live polo match. Your guide will be on-hand to explain the rules and answer any questions.
Once the match is over, tuck into a traditional ‘asado’ BBQ lunch, accompanied by Argentine Malbec wine and enjoy some free time to relax or swim in the country club’s pool.
In the afternoon, head down to the polo field for your polo lesson. Depending on your riding level and previous experience, you will be matched with a suitable horse and even if you’ve never ridden before, you’ll soon master the basics of steering your horse and swinging the taco (polo mallet). Finally, put your skills to the test in a fun mini polo match.
Your tour ends with drop-off back at your Buenos Aires hotel.

Amazing experience for a first timer!

No experience, first time ever. It was awesome! Will come back when I go to Argentina! Learned how to ride horse and then play polo. Food, pool and everything else was great too. 10/10 I have to add I scored 1 goal :)

I have a brand new respect for polo players, this game is NOT easy! But everyone here makes the experience so lovely. We had door to door pickup and drop-off from the city, so getting there and back was so easy. The estancia is breathtakingly...More

Yes a single person can go. There may be other travellers there for the day. We were two people and had an excellent day. We were the only ones that day. Service and riding were great.

Hi. Well this may be way too late for you, but I found it totally worth it. We thought we would be caught in an expensive tourist trap, but it was a fantastic day. We are horse riders but not polo players and we had great... More
