What to expect
Meet your guide and small group in San Telmo and set out to explore the city by bike. Glide though the cobblestone lanes of Buenos Aires’ oldest ‘barrio’ (neighborhood), famous for its tango clubs and antiques market. Continue to waterfront La Boca and hop off to take photos of the brightly painted houses along Caminito Street and the legendary La Bombonera football stadium. Next, visit the modern district of Puerto Madero and admire the chic bars and futuristic architecture along the banks of the Río de la Plata. Escape the busy city streets for a relaxing bike ride through the Costanera Ecological Reserve and stop to enjoy a typical Argentine lunch at a local parrilla (grill house). After lunch, cycle through Retiro; stop to visit the magnificent Recoleta Cemetery, home to Evita’s grave; and refresh with some traditional Argentine mate (herbal tea). Continue through the lush parklands of the Palermo Woods, before looping back into the heart of downtown Buenos Aires, where you’ll see the Plaza de Mayo, the Palace of Congress, and the Casa Rosada.

The best way to see Buenos Aires in the summer
Jan 2020
I booked my trip at approximately 11:00pm (23:00) the night before on a Monday. At that point, I did not know how many other people were in the group. When I showed up (a few minutes late) at 10:10, I realized I was the only one in the morning group with the guide Abigail. The tour company could’ve easily canceled my reservation because I was the only person, but instead they accommodated me, and provided me with a guide all to myself!

Abigail was great. She shared lots of knowledge with me and was very patient with all of my many questions. We were able to pace ourselves and take the time we needed because it was just the two of us in the morning.

I will say, that it was a pretty warm day, and I likely didn’t have enough sleep the night before, so even though I ride my bike often at home, it was a long day in the heat riding around—I was pretty tired by the time I got back to my hotel. However, like another reviewer said, BsAs is mostly flat, so there was very little uphill riding and the incline was not steep.

Lunch was delicious, and they were able to accommodate the fact that I do not eat meat, which I specified in my reservations and Abigail was aware of. So I had a pasta dish which was very good. It was a great way to relax before the afternoon part of the ride.

I had done the Hop on Hop off bus tour the day before, and this was a really good compliment because not only did it allow me to see the city again but I saw it from a completely different viewpoint and was able to immerse myself in it a lot more into the neighborhoods.

I highly recommend this tour if you enjoy bike riding. It’s such a beautiful city and riding in the bike lanes and by the parks is just the perfect way to really appreciate everything.

My trip was cancelled but they made up for it
Oct 2019
I booked my tour very late the day before and unfortunately, didn't get the cancellation message in time so I showed up at the counter on the day of the tour. The guide had called in sick. I was disappointed of course and unsure what to do with my 1 day in BA. They apologized and gave me a bike free for the day. Wrote down a GREAT itinierary for me to follow. I plugged it all into Google Maps and off I went. Biking was easy and I had an amazing time after all. I did miss on the commentary, but really, I am really about seeing things, taking my time, stopping when I feel like it etc. I nevewr got through all the items on the list they gave me, but I left with a huge smile on my face and honestly, this can happen. They handled it well and I still managed to have a great day. These guys are top notch. Even helped me find a good pub to cap off my day. I can't give it 5 stars since I didn't get the full tour.

A fantastic way to see BA in a day!
Sep 2019
We had a fantastic day and found it a really good way to soak up the sites, history and feel of BA. Max was excellent and gave a great overview of the major history/sites and we really enjoyed with him and the other guy from the shop afterwards (they gave us some great tips about eating and tango places and also loved NZ:-).
The only thing we would suggest to improve it would be to maybe stop for ice-cream or beer towards the end of the day.
Would definitely recommend!

Good Bike tour, but expensive.
We had a great time with our guide, Max.
He gave us a great tour, passing all of the most important places and gave us a lot of information.

During the tour you will be eating at a food truck, so not a typical Argentinian restaurant.

They are currently improving their bikes, so you will have to use old bikes.

During the entire trip I had a flat back tyre, but our guide Max pumped it back full at every stop.

The trip cost 75 euro’s per person, which is for hire of an old broken bycicle, a small snack at a local foodtruck and for an 6 hours tour.

The best way to get to know BA
We always do a bike tour is a new city as way to explore. This tour fulfilled this need plus more. Gonzales was an excellent guide with so much information to share and I came away from the day with a much better appreciation of Buenos Aires and its history and passions (Boca Jnr and River Plate). If you have a day to see the city, learn about it, gets some fresh air, have all your tourist questions answered and have fun, then I would recommend this tour with Gonzo.

Highly recommend if you're short on time
Feb 2019 • Couples
We only had two days in Buenos Aires and wanted to see what we could in a time efficient manner. This worked out really well for us - we got to see the highlights and get some exercise at the same time.

Our guide offered a lot of perspective into the different areas and spent a lot of time answering questions the group had - we really enjoyed hearing his perspective on living and working in BA as well as the history.

Its very easy to bicycle through the city - most of the major streets have designated bike lanes and we didn't have any issues with vehicles.

The route isn't terribly difficult - your guide isn't going to make you bike up steep hills - but it is a full day and worth knowing that a small degree of physical fitness is required. Sadly, it was well over 90 degrees Fahrenheit when we went and that was not pleasant, but thankfully it was taken into account for choosing routes. Take extra water and sunscreen if you see that forecast! Coming from a notoriously hot desert city in the USA, I still get caught off guard as to how much the heat saps you. The sun is always angry!

Bottom line - you'll get more out of a tour like this if you want a basic overview of the city and are short on time and like the idea of easy to medium biking.

Great way to see Buenos Aires
Jan 2019 • Business
Really enjoyed the tour with Arnaud around Buenos Aires. I only had 2 days to see the city and this tour was a perfect way to see the sights and learn some of the local history. Easy city to cycle around, great weather and found the drivers a lot more polite than in my home city with cycles lanes pretty much everywhere.

Wonderful Overview of Buenos Aires
My husband and I had an amazing first day in Buenos Aires on a full day bike tour with Max. Although he was not a native Argentinian his knowledge of Argentina's and Buenos Aires history and sights was outstanding. We enjoyed visiting all the major areas by bike. We stopped for a typical lunch. If you are able to participate in a bike tour for an entire day, this is the tour for you!

Thanks a lot Jane for your words! We will share this with Max. As you say, he is not native to BA but he's been attached to this city for years, and we love the feeling and passion he feels for living here and for sharing it with our visitors. We wish you the best upcoming travels, and all the best for this year!

A fun way to see a lot of the city, with someone who knows it. You can't be a timid rider on this tour! At the office they helpfully gave us lots of tips on where to go, and how - even walking with us around the block to a lovely coffee shop.
