About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Linda B0 contributionsLimited dancingDisappointed in the amount of tango dancing. 75 mins show but half of this was singing & just music. The dancing was excellent - just needed to be more of itWritten 26 November 2024
- NathalieAndAndrew0 contributionsShow was stunning- service exemplary food very averagePaid a relatively lot of money ( only in USD) for the show and a meal. The show was stunning- the food served was poor. The steak was dry and tough- not in keeping with our expectations of Argentine beef- fish was dry and stringy. Another risk was the way the waiter ( with all good intentions) would often top up our glasses without asking first. So great and not great.Written 18 November 2024
- M9740RFerikaa0 contributionsGood showThis is something you have to experience if in Buenos Aires. The show was great, the dancers, the singers and the musicians were amazing. Negatives for me: 1. apparently, my hotel was out of the pickup zones (I was staying in Palermo) and had to get a taxi to the pick-up point. 2. Travelling solo I was put in the "singles table" which was at the back of the room. 3. I felt like this was targeted at a different demographic than mine, the majority of people were in the older age bracket but not a biggie. 4. The people who picked me up weren't the friendliest, they spoke amongst each other the whole time in spanish and didn't consider any of us for the whole journey. Overall, it was a very enjoyable show but very touristic and the organisation could be improved.Written 18 November 2024
- Compass371629064720 contributionsDon't miss it!A really good evening. Started with a tango lesson which was fun. The meal was good but nothing extraordinary. The stars of the show, for me, were the tango dancers - amazing! Also the bands, singers and other performers held us spellbound. Would not have wanted to have missed this whilst in BA.Written 17 November 2024
- Rossmoor800 contributionsWell worth a tour of this amazing building!Wonderful guide. Fun and interesting. The theatre itself is awesome! Some of it feels like Versailles. We saw an opera rehearsal but wish we could have seen the theatre with the lights on.Written 10 November 2024
- T5934THfernandos0 contributionsCome for the food, stay for the tangoPlace is cozy, service amazing, food was excellent, plenty of choices for every palate, tango show was spectacular. We booked this place for my group of 22, got in touch with Sofia through WhatsApp and she took care of everything. Cudos to El QuerandiWritten 29 October 2024
- iltchok0 contributionsGreat landmark of Buenos AiresOne of the best landmarks of Buenos Aires. Don’t miss it! It is a building with lots of history. It is an architectural marvel!Written 27 October 2024
- Ellen D0 contributionsOpera house Buenos Aires2 We kept getting email with download PDF but it would keep looping back. After 20 minutes the staff at opera house assisted us. I will not buy from trip advisor againWritten 26 October 2024
- theb9120 contributionsDon't bother unless you pay for VIP seatFor an evening that cost over $300AUD, it did not feel like value for money. The food was OK, it oeaked with the entrees and went downhill for mains and dessert. Nothing terrible, just average, and what you'd expect in a mass-dining theatre show. Service staff were incredibly efficient. Given the cost of tickets, the direct request for tips for service staff was a bit off-putting. At a very low estimate, (seats at table x 18 tables per section x 5 sections) they must be taking in $100k US per show. They should be paying their staff adequately instead of forcing them to rely on tips. They can do what they like though obviously. The seating however was terrible. This is where the advice comes to don't bother going if you don't pay the extra USD $10 for the VIP seats. I have attached photos of my view of the stage. I reckon I saw 20% of the show. Luckily the music was good.Written 24 October 2024
- Maps276200461480 contributionsBeautiful performance.Excellent and emotional performance. Glad that we went to the show on our last night in Buenos Aires and had a memorable time there.Written 24 October 2024
- 549carlosz0 contributionsBad experienceExpensive and not cost effective. The worse wines in Argentina, the musicians are great, the dancers also great, but I felt robbed with the fee per person, plus at the end, they charged us for the Whiskey, which was not included, and no one told us about it. So, my conclusions: Good tango, bad service, with aweful wines. Indeed an abuse for tourists. Never going back and never recommending to anyoneWritten 24 October 2024
- Tvlwkdz0 contributionsTango show with a artistic entertainment to itWe booked this show through our hotel as it was the earliest happening and with kids age 8 and 11 we thought that might work. We only booked the show. Pick up was in a timeslot if 30 minutes and we got picked up at the end. So waited for quite a while. Show started on time and we got some drinks. Performance was great but very loud. Our kids found it a bit too much. Best was the gaucho performance. The whole show was more of an artistic experience so the kids liked it more than they thought when they heard tango show.Written 15 October 2024
- TheKingsNeighbour0 contributionsExcellent EntertainmentPicked up on time from our hotel and dropped off at the door of the Tango show location in San Telmo; shown to our table just a few seats back from the stage - we couldn’t have picked a better spot; waiter service a little on the brusque side, as you may expect at this kind of event, but the food itself was very decent, with the steak being large (of course), tender and very close to the medium rare I had asked for. Even the wine included was okay. But the real reason we were here was the show! All of the dancers and musicians were excellent. Perhaps the only below par performers were the singers, who undoubtedly had lots of experience, and were real talents of the past, but were perhaps a little past their “sell-by date”. Thankfully his did not detract from the quality of the other performers.Written 13 October 2024
- SForee0 contributionsA great way to begin your Argentinian vacation! Our package included a wine tasting, dinner, and the tango show. Our sommelier, Franklin, gave us a great start to the evening. He was funny, knowledgeable, and let us try some unusual (and fantastic) Malbecs. Afterwards, we had an incredible dinner (go hungry!) and wine, followed by a group of talented dancers, singers, and musicians. The costumes were beautiful, and the choreography was top notch.Written 11 October 2024
- ebony840 contributionsBest Tango show in ArgentinaIncredible show. The best one ever seen. The performances were mind blowing. I highly recommend! It was soo good I criedWritten 10 October 2024
