About
Your hands-on cooking class with your local host Constanza will last for about two hours. First, you will join her to slow cook a variety of meat and vegetables on the barbecue using a special type of wood called Quebracho, and learn about the different sauces, cuts of meat and methods of cooking them. After that, you will join Constanza in her large kitchen to learn to make traditional Argentinean empanadas or picadas. She will also teach you to prepare a typical sweet dessert like traditional crepes filled with caramel or mini rogel cake, which will be served with a selection of coffee or tea. Constanza can cook all kinds of cuisines, ranging from Japanese to Moroccan to Asian and even runs her own catering business. In spite of her repertoire of culinary skills, she enjoys cooking a traditional Argentinean home-cooked meal the most and is excited to introduce you to her delicious local cuisine!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time with Constanza and Manolo. We learned how an Argentine asado is setup and how to cook different cuts of meats. We also learned how to make corn empanadas, which I haven’t had before. The recipe was so simple and the empanadas turned out so delicious, I can’t wait to make them when we are back in NYC. Constanza and Manolo were such generous and welcoming hosts. Their home is impeccable. My boyfriend and I learned so much during our time with Constanza and Manolo. This was an unforgettable experience. Thank you!

This was probably the best evening we've ever had with another couple learning how to cook authentic Argentinian grilling (Asado) and making empanadas. But best of all was the warm, friendly, and charming couple, Constanza and Manolo, who taught the class in their gorgeous home. Constanza taught us to make empanadas and Manolo demonstrated all of the finer details of Asado grilling, like building the fire, placement of the meats, and putting the embers exactly where needed to perfectly cook everything. Then we sat down at their dinner table with 7 different kinds of meats (beef, pork, sausages and more) and had a feast with this delightful and interesting couple. The evening could not have been better. Manolo was beyond charming and Constanza was adorable and both were outstanding teachers. Many thanks for an evening we'll never forget. It was an extra charge for them to pick us up at our hotel and bring us home afterwards and I highly recommend this option because it makes the evening more relaxing.

We had a really lovely evening with Constanza and her husband Monolo. We experienced making empanada's and then we had an asado, which Monolo took charge of. It was hands on all the way through and we had a lovely meal, a good selections of meats with several glasses of local wine and were made to feel amongst friends. We got an Uber each way (30/35 mins) - much cheaper than the price of the offered arranged transport.
Having now got back to UK were researching how to build our own asado!

The asado and empanada cooking was a great experience! Constanza and Manolo were very kind and welcoming from the beginning. They picked us up from the hotel, dropped us off at the end, and opened up their beautiful house and backyard to us. They taught us a lot not only with regards to traditional meals/food but also with regards to the Argentine culture. It felt like having a meal with friends! They both speak english fluently, so we were all able to understand and partake in the experience. I highly recommend the experience for anyone, especially english speakers looking to learn about traditional cuisine and those with interest in asado!

It was our last evening in Argentina, and we just could not leave without learning how they (Argentinians :)) prepare it!
When coming we were greeted with open arms and asked to feel like at home. And we really felt as with friends enjoying joint cooking and company. We used to do BBQ, but it was our first time to see and learn how to prepair meat in traditional Argentinian style. And it was worth every moment - new techniques, new types of meat dishes. ..
We left Argetina with good taste, good smell and friends' hugs.
Thanks a lot! We hope to meet again

This is way more than just a cooking class - it's an experience into Argentina social life. Connie and her husband (Monolo) were great, they welcomed us into their house like we were their friends. Monolo did the barbecuing (the asado part) and Connie taught us how to make empanadas. All the food was the best, and they used lettuce and herbs from their own garden which added to the freshness of everything. Their backyard is very inviting and they have a great set up. We learned a lot about different foods that one can grill and the technique used in true asado. I would highly recommend this to anyone, it was such a relaxing time and we felt like we made friends in Argentina.

My wife and I really enjoyed our time with Virginia and Lucas! We were able to prepare and cook an authentic Argentinian asado starting with buying the products at the local shops, and then, preparing and cooking in their home. Virginia put a lot of time and thought into the menu, and I had some dietary restrictions which she was able to accommodate. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed learning more about Argentinian food and culture. We would definitely recommend booking with Virginia and Lucas!

I'm already a big foodie and researched Argentinian cooking so I was thrilled to see an evening like this offered. Constanza and her husband were warm and welcoming. Her home and family were beautiful. My husband was instantly jealous over there cooking area in the backyard. The food and company were great and I can't wait to bring what we learned home.

Constanza & Manolo exceeded any expectation we could have ever imagined. From the moment we met them, we were instant friends. They welcomed us into their beautiful home and made us feel as though we had known each other for a long time. It was like going to a friend's home for a BBQ while learning new cuts of meat, types of wood, techniques and their cultural past time . We talked, we laughed, we ate for hours and learned how the traditional Asado was prepared and presented. The food and wine were amazing. Every course was just as good or better than the one before. The flavors were incredible. Constanza showed me how to make empanadas in the kitchen and while I was making some, Manolo was teaching Jaxon the proper way to start the parrilla with woods we are now dreaming of. We were so inspired that we have taken a new approach to the way we BBQ and the Argentine cuisine. We hope to build an Argentine parrilla in our backyard and entertain our friends with an Asado experience. Thank you so very much Constanza and Manolo, we hope to meet you again some day!
