- Sightsee114129266790 contributionsA beautiful walkAn informative tour with many explanations by the very committed guide Cecilia. With a stop at an ice cream parlor for refreshment. A relaxed tour - a nice activity - to get to know Buenos Aires off the beaten track. A lovely afternoon. Booking/reservation and payment are completely uncomplicated. I highly recommend this tour.Written 23 April 2024
- BJohnbear0 contributionsBest street art tour in BAWether or not you’re new to street art, Matt’s tour is outrageously good. I have always found areas with Street Art the best way to get to know what lives in a city, how vibrant it is, what makes it tick. I’ve been exploring street art all over the world for years, and was impressed: Matt has a vast knowledge of artists and techniques and a wonderful way of sharing some of BA’s great street art scene. I loved his tour, loved his suggestions to explore other areas in BA, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Matt. 5+ stars.Written 2 January 2024
- Voyage560303813090 contributionsOne of the Best Street Art Tours in the WorldI was in Buenos Aires 8 years ago and did a tour with BA Street Art Tours. IT was so fantastic that when I knew we were going back, I immediately booked a private tour with them... They did not disappoint. Matt is a fabulous and knowledgeable guide..He showed us a totally new and different tour than our first...and just as interesting. I have done street art tours all over the world and this has not be one of my favorites. What sets them apart is that they know many of the artists and background of the art that we see. In addition, he made suggestions of street art in my neighborhood that I could go to on my own (which I did and he was spot on). I will always tie this company with my trips to BA. Can't recommend them enough.Written 30 December 2023
- Romy I0 contributionsTour guide with cred who actively supports living street artMatt was rad! He wrote a book on Buenos Aires street art so it was great talking to him about different topics such as the relationship of the Brazilian street art scene to Argentina. Not only does the tour show a cool suburb outside of the normal tourist circles it actively supports living street art - matt and his organization regularly host artists both domestic and international to make new pieces ! They also work with building owners and the city to create more cool street art. I loved it - the pieces range across all forms from Wheat paste to murals to aerosol and even mixes of both in the same piece ! Highly recommended !Written 27 November 2023

- TinaM45830 contributionsGraffiti and Street Art Walking TourExcellent guide and view of local middle class neighborhood in Buenos-Aires and their love for the arts! We even saw graffiti in the works by 3 men from New York. It was very Banksy.Written 15 February 2020
- JJJulianaM0 contributionsAuthentic Cultural AdventureWe were lucky enough to book a private tour by car with Matt, the founder of this incredible organization. Matt is gracious, very knowledgable, and well connected in the global street art community. He didn't just show us dozens of works of art; he told us the historical, aesthetic and personal stories behind them. In many cases, he had organized the commissions directly with the artists and city or private residents. I began photographing street art in the Southern Cone in the late 90's as a hobby and it's been 10 years since my last visit. Matt made it a rich and insightful experience tailored to our interests. My family (husband and 6yo son) agreed it was a major highlight of our 2-week trip. Perhaps the best part: Matt surprised us by offering my son a chance to do some spray painting of his own on a wall in a park along the way. Don't miss this opportunity!Written 5 February 2020
- notaminger0 contributionsInsiders info on Murals and street art of BALocally based guide Matt has extensive knowledge of the current mural and street art scene. He’s tuned in, articulate, and with his background in art history and architecture and a keen interest in politics, this is the tour to take.Written 27 January 2020
- Sdofdc0 contributionsGreat tour and guidesReally fun and engaging tour. Gets you to different areas of the city and visits interesting examples of street art. Matt and Cecelia were both great and took very good care of us. Highly recommend this tour to get a new perspective on BA.Written 11 January 2020
- 851trotter0 contributionsGreat tourWe spent a wonderful and interesting 2 or 3 hours with Matt on the tour. We’re not particularly into street art itself but the tour sounded interesting and different, and he brought the tour to life with descriptions and background to all the pieces, which gave a sense of the recent history of Buenos Aires and cultural influences. Thoroughly recommended !Written 5 January 2020
- JKent123450 contributionsFantastic Street Art Tour!We had an awesome time on this tour -- Cecilia was so friendly, and incredibly knowledgable about the local street art scene. We also really appreciated that it took us out to a neighborhood that is off the beaten tourism path. Such a lovely day to spend an afternoon visiting Buenos Aires!Written 15 December 2019

- BrunoB63420 contributionsGreat experience! We were a large group with a 12s futbol team visiting Argentina for a tournament and this was one of the highlights! The tour kept all of the kids interested and was also a nice way to see the real streets of Palermo. Matt was knowledgeable and full of fun facts to keep everyone in the group engaged. The experience was so good that even our local Argentinian futbol coach decided to take the rest of his family on it afterwards!Written 8 October 2019
- ciscoap0 contributionsBA street artWe had a wonderful time. Matt was extremely knowledgeable with the art in the neighborhoods we visited. An excellent and informative tour that also teaches a lot about Argentinian culture, politics and the society, using street art as the means to inform you about those things. I know a great deal about street art - I have written and photographed a book on the subject - and this tour did not disappoint. Matt, our guide, is extremely knowledgeable and very interesting and very much involved with the street artists in the city. I highly recommend this tour, even if you don't think you are much interested in street art. You will learn a lot that will help inform the rest of your stay in Argentina.

We completely enjoyed the tour by Matt and learning about his efforts to support and foster street art. He is highly knowledgeable and well spoken. We also learned what life is like for a expat in BA, discussed the current politics, and so forth. We enjoyed getting to see a different, more residential neighborhood in BA as well.

We had done a street art tour in London and jumped at the chance to do one in Buenos Aires. Matt was a very passionate and enthusiastic guide. Our tour lasted over 4 hours. He could sense our appreciation of the art and gave us a grand tour. We saw A LOT of beautiful street art. His company helps to fund street art in Buenos Aires so the money is well spent. We got more than our money's worth. Great way to see another side of Buenos Aires.

My friend and I loved our private tour with Cecilia, an Argentinian artist who speaks English very well. She was knowledgeable, friendly and gracious and led us on a memorable tour of the BA street art district. We even saw Murals in progress.
We lucked out on the private tour as other people had canceled but the tour is well worth it even with a larger group.
Tip generously, the tour is around 2- 2.5 hours long and covers a lot of ground with a wonderful local guide.
Also, Ask Cecilia about other Art experiences in Argentina!

This tour was a great way to spend a few hours in Buenos Aires! The lovely and passionate Cecilia was a knowledgeable guide, and I had a great time talking with her and our intimate group. I got to explore beautiful works of art and the city of Buenos Aires and I met some really interesting people. I would recommend this for solo travelers or families as a fun alternative museum experience.

Guide described the pieces quite superficially and there seems so be little theme connecting the art pieces to each other and the city. A bit random. Seemed like the added value of a guided tour was knowing where to find the pieces but with a map I'd do it myself.

Hi there, are you sure you attended our tour? If you did, we're sorry it didn't live up to your expectations. If you were listening to all of our guide's explanations, she should have explained clearly that many of the murals were sponsored & curated by our organisation with the idea of creating an urban art district in this area. And we're sure she would have explained the stories & context relating to the artworks you saw & would have been there to answer any questions or queries you may have had. Many people who attend our tours also like the idea that some of the funds we receive also go towards funding new murals painted over the last few weeks that are unlikely to be on any map.
Regarding "random", Buenos Aires like many cities gets international street artists coming here from all over the world to paint murals at different times. They all have different styles, influences & techniques - so we're not too sure why you might think there should be a theme connecting them. Enjoy the rest of your stay in BA!

I would highly recommend the tour, especially if you have Cecilia who was our guide. It was great to get away from the usual tourist areas and see the districts of Villa Urquiza and Coghlan, which have great character and some really interesting architecture. Cecilia was both really knowledgeable as well as very enthusiastic and it made a real difference to understand the different stories behind the murals. There are many different styles, techniques and themes so there really is something for everyone and a great way of engaging both tourists and neighbourhoods with art. A great afternoon!

Our Tour Guide was absolutely delightful! We were a small group of only 4 people and she held us in awe the whole Tour with her knowledge of the artists and their technical handwork and because of her personal enthusiasm for the subject itself.
We stopped at a small Cafe, on our request, about the middle of the tour, and enjoyed the delicious coffee and snack but especially the company of our guide and fellow companions! A marvellous afternoon with spektakular murals and topped off with a refreshing ice cream at the end!
We highly recommend this Tour and Cecilia, our guide!
Thank you for the story behind the scenes.

Cecilia was wonderful, answering all our questions! We had a great time seeing the local street art, along with some local graffiti as well. I really liked the owl and the face which we saw at the end. The ice cream break was also nice during the sunny afternoon.
