- 1Located in the historic city centre, in San Telmo neighborhood, El Querandí has the best tango dinner show in Buenos Aires. This old mansion of 1920, carefully restored in 1992 after being closed for 12 years, is characterized by having respected with absolute devotion the atmosphere it had at the beginning of the last century; adding, a service of excellence, an exquisite gastronomic menu with typical Argentinean regional dishes and a tango show that shines for its quality and authenticity. All this, of course, is possible thanks to the sincere respect that El Querandí has for its past; seeking at all times to keep alive the soul of tanguería, also conserving a warm, pleasant and intimate space, where the client is attended to in every detail so that he can experience a night that will be forever impressed in his memory.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- aprilgirl240 contributionsEnjoyed the dance class, dinner and showGreat evening! Combined introductory tango class with dinner and the show all at Mansion Tango. Dance instructors were friendly and pitched the class well (there were just 6 of us) to learn basic steps and they were performing in the show later. Dinner was 3 courses served in the theatre before the show started and had a range of good options for starter, main and dessert and was of reasonable quality. Show was good, range of different tango dances, singers and orchestra - definitely worth doing in Buenos Aires. Only complaint is that young children probably shouldn’t be attending the show if they need to be entertained through dinner with a phone playing videos with high volume or singing into their own video camera during the show… not ideal.Written 17 January 2025
- 537kianm0 contributionsPay no more than $80I was disappointed by the “Premium” seats. I felt ripped off for being a tourist, as locals paid far far less and had far far better seats. Get the cheapest tickets, skip the food (it’s no good!) and the transfer (it’s a bus with a million stops… you’ll get sick by the time you get to the show!), and get the regular seats (if you’re a tourist, you’ll get the worst seats anyway!)Written 30 December 2024
- lisapP8929GX0 contributionsBoca Jr tourJuan Miguel was the best tour guide ever. He was very accommodating and well versed in the history of La Bocca. He is very fluent in English and personally walked us to a Maradona store that my son really wanted to see. He even personally helped us book our Tigres boat tour.Written 29 December 2024
- viggy190 contributionsBest way to fully enjoy la Recoleta with your whole familyJuan Manuel was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable. He managed to keep everyone entertained, from my older kid (my spouse 🤣 ) to my 12 year old daughter. You definitely need a guide to understand all the history, anecdotes, legends, personalities, and to get fully immersed in the Recoleta world. This tour, this guide, highly recommended, he speaks excellent English and knew the answers to all our questions. After the tour of La Recoleta, we even went to the nearby church and walked around the neighborhood. Recommendation - check the weather for the day and then choose the time slot you wish to go, it can be very hot, and if you go on weekends you may also visit the outdoor market as well which is very nice.Written 22 December 2024
- VancouverTravelMan0 contributionsRecoleta cemetery and areaOur guide, Juan was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. He had a wealth of information about many important people of Argentina who have mausoleums in the Recoleta cemetery and about the history of Argentina. We learned a lot from Juan and enjoyed his company. We’re so glad we booked this private tour and had Juan as our guide.Written 9 December 2024

- Amanda-awayagain0 contributionsDancing fantastic. Service poor.It was not the location my travel company had adver so i was disappointed when we arrived at the location. And then i was put on a table with strangers from a different country which as a single person was awkward. Had to share wine with them. I ordered beef cheeks, was given fish. When returned it , still didn't get the beef cheeks but a milinase I think they struggle with English, although I pointed as well as used Spanish. However the dancing was fabulous. But, long speeches, clearly with jokes all in Spainish so the show felt long for non Spanish speaker. Some people left early because of that. At end I felt I was being hassled to tip. The others on my table had already left before the end without tipping and because I didn't get what I ordered I didn't tip but there was a bit of pressure to tip. I do tip normally but I felt let down because I wanted the beef checks but was given fish then milanese. Also no communication about transport back to hotel so left milling around. But. , over all I was glad I went. The tango was fantasticWritten 2 March 2024

- FernandoGiorgetti0 contributionsGreat tour and experienceNice tour and excellent guide. The tour goes through the history of the club. You can see the trophies, shirts, pictures and etc. For an extra fee you can go into the field as well. Thanks to our guide, Juan Manuel, for all the explanation.Written 1 August 2023
- Compass8139180 contributionsMore show - less Tango.Purchased from a local tour company. Great service. Responsive to text messages, organized passenger pick up and drop off. Food was great! I had potato and leak soup, a massive steak with chorizo, and lemon mousse The show itself started very late- around 10:45PM- finishing close to 11:45 PM. The orchestra, singers, and dancers were all talented. It was more of a show than a tango. There was very little actual tango and the current show is about women being forced into a brothel. I always thought I’d Tango as a more romantic- less sex/y stripper kind of dance. I was looking for more classic tango. It was supposed to include a 30 minute tango lesson at the end, but the buses were ready to depart and we were pretty tired. To be fair- the website does not include the class in the price categories.Written 17 July 2023
- mariesY5531SD0 contributionsCasablanca Tango ShowThis show was recommended by a Buenos Aires locale. Small, intimate theatre in the heart of San Telmo. Not a bad seat in the theatre. Excellent show with live orchestra and the dinner was surprisingly good.Written 10 July 2023
