About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- pccNY0 contributionsHours & Hours of Waiting in Lines for Immigration and Ferries with Very Little Payoff When You Get ThereThe driver and guide for the walking tour were excellent, courteous, and in all ways fine. They were not the problem. However, the trip to Colonia involves a lot of waiting in long lines in packed rooms for tedious immigration procedures each way, than a long wait for the ferry each way, then a longish ferry ride. When you finally get to Colonia, there is really not much there. The only tour available is a group tour, which had too many people in it. And there just is very little to see. All in all, it is a lot of waiting for hours in unpleasant circumstances for very little payoff. Our limited time in Buenos Aires could have been much better spent.Written 15 February 2025
- E1115IGbarrys0 contributionsWhistle stop tour introduction to Buenos AiresA really good introduction to the city. The tour provided a whistle stop guide to the main attractions of the area covered. Our guide ,Natalie, was knowledgeable and informative. She kept the group together well ,was organised ,efficient and cheerful. Our driver ,Dina ,skilfully navigated the congested side streets and broad avenues alike. We felt that sufficient time was allocated to each stop along insights to the relevance and history of the various attractions. There were two stops during the 5 hour tour which provided bathroom facilities .Our bus was clean and a good size ,fitted with seat belts .Written 14 February 2025
- O7352TTstevep0 contributionsGreat show pity about the serviceGreat show with very experienced dancers singers and musicians . We did not have a meal, but found it hard to get a drink and it seems you can only get one! Then at the end we were asked for tips in a dark room with music blaring? Sorry tips for who? It somewhat dampened our overall experience. Show is worth seeing but serving staff seem rude and uncaring.Written 10 February 2025
- 799shuy0 contributionsVery nice show.We purchased tickets for the Tango show and dinner. As our seating was premium, we had a good view of the stage. The tango show itself surpassed our expectations; both the male and female singers had beautiful voices, and the dancers were excellent. However, the dinner was merely so-so.Written 9 February 2025
- NowhereTooFar0 contributionsLovely evening and quintessentially ArgentinianShow exceeds expectations . Musically good and nice dancing and a surprise singer who is well known at the end . no need to book expensive package . we got the basic £52 tickets that include two drinks. Ubers are cheap and concierge said you can eat better elsewhere .Written 9 February 2025
- ajay n0 contributionsHonest serviceThere was a misunderstanding regarding the lunch i was charged by the restaurant when it said it was included i reported this to the tour guide and they promptly refunded me. Very professional and honestWritten 7 February 2025
- cecilia t0 contributionsImpressive Tango Dinner Show that is worth it,I was looking for a tango dinner show that caters to a small crowd and a venue that is not in a big theatre for a more intimate experience. And the early tango show and dinner at 7PM is more convenient for us. Algibe Restaurant has good reviews among the restaurants in Buenos Aires. We were given a choice for the 3 course gourmet dinner with drinks included and it was very good. The service was excellent. The show was impressive. From tango and folklore dancers, the musicians, a band, and a male solo singer completed a well rounded cultural experience. I booked through Trip Advisor, in particular with this tour operator, Private Tour Guide Buenos Aires, @ carlos-batourguide. Their price was much cheaper than the other tour operators. I would recommend for a tango dinner show. It is worth it. Come early to get good seats.Written 31 January 2025

- Willsmum_130 contributionsTruly fantastic 100/10 if possibleThis was my 70th birthday "party". The food was fantastic but the dancing and music surpassed all of expectations It was a truly memorable evening. Thank you so much to everyone at El Quarandi for such a spectacularly emotional eveningWritten 25 January 2025
- chrisjT3791MD0 contributionsNice day in ColoniaA. Nice relaxing day in Uruguay. Smooth pickup and transfer to the fast boat, customs easy. Factual walking tour. Colonia is a World Heritage site and pretty but a day tour only.Written 24 January 2025
- ThierryUS0 contributionsNothing wrong. Nothing great. Just ok.The whole experience is just okay. Nice solid touristy thing to do. Nothing more. Not terrible, but not great. Theater is nice, Service is good. Dancers are good. Singing breaks between dances was not great. Wished this was focused on tango dancing more not gimmicks like the horses at the beginning or the dances showing the history or the singing without the dancing in between. Could be shorter and more focused. Overall no complaints but definitely not blown away. Nowadays you can see tango in any big city. It’s nice to see it here. Nothing more. Didn’t try the food because I guessed it wasn’t worth it. Still think it’s the right choice. Neighborhood is sketchy so take precautions coming an going. Also ends super late.Written 19 January 2025
- 241keithj0 contributionsAuthentic Tango Show in Buenos AiresThere are many places to see tango performed here in Buenos Aires but most of them don’t start until 10:00pm. If you want an earlier show this one is a good option. It is in a smaller venue with three levels of seating so everyone has a good view of the stage. The show is non-stop high energy lasting an hour. There were from one to three couples dancing tango with costumes that evoked the 1940’s and were changed throughout the show. There was also a performance of flamenco with boleros and drums, a few solo vocal numbers, and some instrumental pieces played by the band. The band included a bass, piano, bandolero, and guitar. Their playing really set the mood. A few comments to share. The description of this show on TripAdvisor made it sound like the optional dinner was a set menu. We’ve found that the food served at this type of setting is sometimes lacking, so we opted for show only tickets. The advertised time if you chose the dinner option was 6:45, with the show starting at 7:45. When we were seated at about 7:30, others around our table were just then ordering their meals. So the show actually started at 8:30. Had we known the dinner time was very flexible, we would have arrived 30-45 minutes later. Also, diners were ordering off menus, so there were multiple options for what one wanted. If we were to go again, I think we would include the dinner option as the food looked good. Overall, this was a great show, everyone in the cast highly skilled and the result was an intimate experience of authentic Argentine music and dance.Written 12 January 2025

- Destination7769450 contributionsTerrible Shuttle ArrangementLate and slow than normal Hotel Transfer. Scheduled pu is 8:45pm we were the first to board, after that there were at least 7 more stops but only two had people showed up. The entire shuttle took 2 hrs. The show already started 15 min by the time we sit down. They blamed the driver there’s no apology from the show organizer. Terrible arrangement all the way.Written 29 December 2024
