- reminyard0 contributionsAfro-Argentine Heritage Walking ReviewIf you want to learn about Afro Argentine Heritage this is the tour to take! I only wish I had more time to explore and understand it better, although my guide was awesome! You can’t cover everything on a tour but this was one of the best overviews of the Afro Argentine Heritage that I have experienced, and I highly recommend this company!Written 9 February 2025
- andrew k0 contributionsOUTSTANDING walking tour, highly recommended!Melanie provided us with an extremely engaging and informative tour of the Jewish area , museum and synagogue. Her knowledge and grasp of the history and events were presented in an easy to understand manner. She was able to provide excellent historical context and made the 4 hour tour fly by. Far and away one of the best tours we have enjoyed! Thank you Melanie!!Written 6 February 2025
- davidpG710NE0 contributionsLunfarda Jewish Heritage Walking Tour-Visit Libertad Synagogue and Jewih Museum + MoreWe had the pleasure of doing the Buenos Aires Jewish walking tour 12/30/2024 with Melanie of Lunfarda. This was an excellent choice as we considered going to the Jewish Museum only, that would have been a mistake as the information we learned on the tour was far in excess of the museum, more detailed and interesting. Melanie has an excellent perspective and wealth of knowledge as she grew up in BA and attended both public and private schools as well as university. She put into perspective the remote Jewish and general Argentinian past and more recent history up to present day including the complicated political narrative and what it is like being a young Jewish person in this community. We did walk through more heavily Jewish neighborhoods and stopped at the AMIA building and Israeli Embassy bombing memorial with discussion about delayed- and non-prosecution of suspects and their Middle Eastern and Argentinian origins. Very well worth the time and cost, would recommend Melanie as a tour guide without hesitation, she was very nice and extremely informative.Written 15 January 2025
- cammaxmom0 contributions10 day Argentinian experience of a lifetime!WOW! Mariana planned a 10 day Argentinian vacation for my family of 4 including 2 well traveled and opinionated teens. We can't say enough good things about her, Lunfarda and the whole experience. We started in BA, went to Ushuaia, El Calafete and then back to BA before heading home. During the planning process, Mariana was patient, helpful and incredibly organized. Once we got to Argentina, her communication with us was the best I've had with an agency (daily messages about pickups, experiences, etc). We had a small issue with our hotel shower, and she had arranged for us to change rooms that same day. When we wanted to pivot from a previously planned tour in BA, she was able to organize a private day trip to Tigre that was a great highlight for the family. Were there some challenges along the way? Of course, as there always are- but she and her team were always available, responsive and great problem solvers. If you are looking to book a single tour, or a full Argentinian vacation - reach out to Lunfarda - and hopefully, you will have as wonderful of an experience as we did!Written 7 January 2025
- richardsC9630LG0 contributionsIGUAZU FALLS with LUNFARDA TRAVEL, worth every penny. We took Lunfarda 2 day trip to Iguazu Falls and it was excellent. Sylvia, our tour guide/mother hen was with us step by step. The local guides were also excellent and very attentive. This tour was well worth the money.Written 27 December 2024
- paullZ7976WL0 contributionsWords cannot express the amazing trip to Iguaza FallsSilvia and Moria led a two day trip to Iguaza Falls as a pre-Antartica cruise by Vacaya. There were 23 of us that took the trip, what a wonderful trip it was. Silvia, Moria and Jonaton (guide) were wonderful, everything was taken care of. All we had to do was show up. To wake up the morning of the second day and look at the Falls from our room was just amazing.Written 27 December 2024
- Okinokc0 contributionsGreat trip! Glad we booked through Lunfarda!Lunfarda is AMAZING! We flew up to Iguazu, stayed the night in the park, took a river boat to (and under) the falls, and then visited the Brazilian side of the falls before flying home. It was INCREDIBLE! Every detail was arranged, including pick up and drop off at our Buenos Aires hotel. This is a must-do if you visit Argentina! And use Lunfarda!Written 27 December 2024
- Stay4552530 contributionsGreat Experience at Iguazu FallsWhat a great tour on both sides of the Iguazu Falls both on the Argentinian side as well as the Brazil side. The flights from Buenos Aires were flawless and our guide Sylvia was helpful, friendly and informative. The hotel was great with an amazing view (everything was so well organized) There were some connectivity issues at the hotel which is a very first world problem, but because I had to provide my credit card number orally, I feel that my credit card was frauded and I had to cancel it. NOT the fault of Lunfarda. I guess I am saying just beware. Jonaton was a great guide as well. They treated us like kings. I would DEFINITELY HIGHLY recommend this travel company.Written 20 December 2024
- Okinokc0 contributionsLoved Lunfarda! In addition to a very informative all-day tour of BA, we also booked with Lunfarda for a two-day Iguazu Falls trip that was AMAZING! This boutique agency is fantastic at supplying personalized travel experiences! Highly recommend!Written 6 December 2024
- renaem9910 contributionsMost Engaging ExperienceWhen I knew I would be in Buenos Aires, I intentionally searched for a tour that would highlight the black experiences in/contributions to Argentina. I was completely blown away the tour and our guide, Ms. Ekene. Not only was she very knowledgeable about Afro-Argentine history, but she was also very engaging with us a group, having dialogue with us instead of just lecturing. Our tour ended before the Candombe events of the night (Sunday evening) so it was great to cap off the experience with that. We loved it so much that we told other members of our LARGE traveling group, and they booked the experience as well. 100/10Written 31 July 2024
- Wende C0 contributionsFantastic food tour!Fernando was knowledgeable and passionate about the food and history of Argentina. We had amazing food-learned tons-and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!Written 5 June 2024
- SFGlen0 contributionsThe Trip of a LifetimeWe did a wonderful, 3 week holiday in South America, including a week long, small ship cruise, from Buenos Aires to Rio. Without any doubt, the highlight of this entire trip – the most memorable days – were the ones we spent with Lunfarda Travel and their incredible staff. First, we did a full day, private tour of Buenos Aires, (“BA 101,” see separate review), which was absolutely fantastic. On this tour, though, we did a complete overnight, 2-day excursion, from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls, all organized by Lufarda and with two Lunfarda guides. (There were 18 in our LGBT group). Wow. This was a stunningly good experience. Every detail was impeccably organized, from the 4am pickup at our hotel to the return, at 1am, 2 days later. (Yes, there were some long days, but plenty of opportunity to rest and relax too). Our Iguazu hotel was amazing. The guides could not have been more attentive and considerate of our needs. The hikes, views, boat excursions, cocktail parties, lunches . . . All were absolutely perfect. The itinerary, which included both the Argentinian and Brazilian side of the falls, was about as complete as you can imagine and there were even fun “contingency plans” to accommodate the unpredictability of the border crossing process. This was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Lunfarda.Written 27 April 2024
- Z9877JQderrickb0 contributionsA great way to spend an afternoon in Buenos AiresI had a great time. Augustina (sp?) was very knowledgeable and personable. She provided a great background on the origins of San Telmo, Boca as well as all of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Our conversation extended beyond the tour and covered current events, music and food.Written 23 April 2024
- 151vanceh0 contributionsBuenos Aires Queer HistoryWe are home from our travels to Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. We wanted to let you know that at the top of list of wonderful experiences was the Queer Tour in Buenos Aires with Rodrigo on Good Friday March 29. Thank you for arranging it, complete with pick up at our hotel and drop off at the pier for the cruise with Vacaya.  Complete with luggage! Rodrigo was super friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide for our brief time in Buenos Aires. Important to keep the Argentina queer history alive. We highly recommend the tour with Rodrigo. Working with Lunfarda Travel was a pleasure - especially Marianna & Sylvia.Written 22 April 2024
- gjmatt260 contributionsBest Tour Ever!!Perfectly planned 2 day trip to Iguazu Falls! Every detail was top notch and made for the most enjoyable part of our 2 week trip to South America. Our tour guide Julia was wonderful!!!! She was very informative about the history of Afro-Argentinians but also Argentina and the surrounding countries. There were frequent stops along the route to look at historical sites and chat. I would highly recommend this tour!!

It was an amazing tour with a very knowledgeable guide. We discovered a part of Argentinean history that is often neglected or denied. If you want to circumvent touristic clichés, this is the tour for you.
