About
Full day excursion:
We leave the city of Puerto Madryn heading north, we begin to explore and discover the charms of the Peninsula, its landscape, its flora and fauna. The first stop we make is at the "Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center", which provides information on the ecosystem of the Peninsula. We continue the tour until we reach Puerto Pirámides, the only tourist village on the Peninsula and the only place allowed for wildlife watching embarked.
We will visit La Caleta Valdés, a colony of Magellanic penguins, where you can walk and observe these curious little animals in their habitat.
We leave Puerto Pirámide to continue with the excursion, depending on the state of the roads and the migration of fauna, we visit Punta Norte, a rookery for elephants and fur sea lions. At high tide it is possible to spot killer whales in the months of February, March and April.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sightsee6867490 contributionspenguins galoreWe had a fantastic tour guide who made the most of our time together. We had another couple join us late at the penguin colony. Because of this we lingered at the best location and spotted whales! Lunch was fabulous and our host at the ranch was generous and welcoming. The group got anxious about making it back to the cruise ship in time but we did. The tour guide reminded us all that because of our delay we got to see whales. If we had not had that delay we would have missed the whales.Written 5 March 2020
