Breathtaking
Jan 2020
The opportunity to see the glaciers up close and to trek on them was definitely a bucket list activity! From the moment you strap on those crampons, you know you are in for a once in a lifetime experience. The guides were great and you even finished the trek with a glass of whisky on glacier ice. This was not a strenuous trek so I think anyone could take it on - we even saw a man who seemed to have cerebal palsy and he had two guides assist him and was able to complete the trek.

Trip to Perito Moreno

Excellent guided tour of the glacier. Our guide, Diego, was engaging and knowledgeable and gave the trek another dimension. The scenery was breathtaking and the landscapes on the glacier were surprising as there was always some new feature to discover. Well worth the money and effort. I didn't have a picture small enough so please enjoy my shoe.

Worth the time, and the money
I asked maybe a dozen people how they felt about the tour, they nearly all said it was a fantastic day, and unforgettable. I agree it was unforgettable. I feel obliged to point out one fact, that is that 50% of the day was with 50+ people, blended eng/esp. We split into a smaller group for the trekking experience, which was ~20% of the day, and the other 30% of the day was solo, including walking through the park which looked over the glacier. There's a very negative recent review which claims this is a 'scam'. I disagree. I do believe the itinerary and format could be better detailed.
Overall the glacier is majestic and difficult to comprehend, and the ability to trek on it is special.

Highlight of the trip
Jan 2020
This was possibly one of the most fun excursions I have ever done. The guide was very helpful and informative. It had beautiful views and the pictures we took were wonderful. We did many different things while in Argentina and this was the best. Highly recommend as you will never forget the experience.

Disreputable Tour Company
Feb 2020
Beware Travel 54 - fraudulent advertising. Trip claims small personalized service in a group of no more than 10, and in our case we booked an English tour. We were herded onto a bus with over 50 people, computer generated audio played in 4 languages (badly) then were in a standing room only boat for over an hour RT. No English speaking agent or guide available. No response from Travel 54 to complaint and TA denied any problem. Disputing whole thing w my CC. The glacier park itself is amazing - just do it with a reputable agency of which there are dozens locally in El Calafate offering last minute next day deals. Never booking on TA again, so dissapointed with their choice of local partners and failure to support defrauded customers.

We are very sorry and surprided to know you did not enjoy this amazing day tour. Can you please let us know WHERE did you read this is a maximum 10 passengers tour so we can fix that. This Tour is provided only by ONE tour operator who has the license given by the local government of Santa Cruz since the Minitreking activity is in a National Park Los Glaciares. Upon reaching the edge of the glacier in the Park, the guides form subgroups of a maximum 20 PEOPLE each but pick ups from hotels in El Calafate of course share a bus since this is NOT a Private tour. The Locals Agencies in El Calafate sell this same product from this only official operator who is also in charge of pick ups so the only way to travel to the park in a smaller vehicle is hiring a private transfer and guide.

Amazing!
One of the greatest experiences of my life. Pictures cannot capture the majesty of a glacier. I never really appreciated the magnitude of nature until I saw the Perito Moreno calving. This tour is a must. FYI, bring Argentine Pesos! They do not take credit cards or foreign currency. Pesos are an absolute must have.

The views were breathtaking. Once in a lifetime experience. Should definitely try it. The small trek is more than enough. This trek would include most of the things.

Best experience in Patagonia
This was definitely the highlight of my trip! There was a short 20 min boat ride to the beach. I thought we would go close to the falling ice but we did better we actually climbed up there dug our feet in literally touched and tasted the ice. Lol There was even a wonderful end of trip whiskey toast with actual ice chopped right off the glacier. This was a thrilling and breathtaking trip. Just be careful on the ice and listen to your guides. They were hilarious and wonderful! Great trip all around.
