About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- timothyc3970 contributionsA Good Way to See Mount Fitz Roy and El ChaltenThis turned out to be a much larger tour group than I expected. Picked up from my accommodation in a van, but soon transferred to a coach bus, with 40 tourists on board. We were offered two options for the day: 1) do a short guided hike up to a lookout offering good views of Mount Fitz Roy and the peaks nearby, followed by lunch in a local restaurant, or 2) do a longer self-guided hike to get closer to Mount Fitz Roy, with a boxed lunch. I opted for (1). The only negative was the 45,000 ARS park pass that was needed to gain access to do the hike. Expensive, considering the hike only took about one hour in total. After lunch, we drove east of town, for an easy 500 meter hike to a waterfall. Many, many tour groups doing the same, resulting in WAY too many people at the waterfall simultaneously, literally tripping over one another, and jockeying for photos. Bedlam. Think the tour companies need to get together, and arrange slot times for the waterfall, to have their groups arrive at different times.Written 7 January 2025

- Juana M0 contributionsAmazing!Incredible! And the mini trekking is something that really gives you the full experience! Walking on the glasear, seen the fractures, hearing when pieces fall into the lake is a lifetime experience.Written 26 December 2024
- GARY P0 contributionsWonderful Excursion. A great day trip !Wonderful Excursion ! Nacho was ontime, very informative, and flexible toward fulfilling our interests. He answered every question, stopped for anything that caught our attention, and provided photos of things that were beyond our view as he explained the scene or history. He modified the planned route when we saw any alternatives, and allowed us time to enjoy the various locations. He brought hot water for coffee or tea, and a special Argentina snack. The meal provided was excellent. What an excellent day !Written 16 December 2024
- P7483HSclaudiap0 contributionsOne of our favorite Excursions thus far! This is one of those once in a lifetime experiences and yet still very safe! My husband was nervous about being on a glacier but it was very cool and fun! The guides were great! Very funny and knowledgeable. So many pictures taken and they still don't do justice! There are some parts that could be dangerous if you aren't paying attention and following the guides instructions. We got a little winded in the beginning going up hill but that quickly went away with the beauty of it all. Wish it was longer but I only say that because time flies when you're having fun! It was about 3 hours on the glacier. Plenty of time! It was suprisingly not that cold on the glacier. It was like 3x colder on the Glacier Outlook Balcony. Again, it could be because you're stomping on ice and going up and down. Dont miss this chance! Great experience to share with friends and strangers! Nice treat at the end!Written 14 December 2024

- dovp20180 contributionsThe glacierIt is the most popular place to visit and has incredible views. We had a great guide and driver team who shared much information. Issue: There are two boat ride options - South and North. Most people went to the south, and few of us got to the north. The difference needs to be clarified.Written 3 December 2024
- jonasbP2174OM0 contributionsBeautiful but very pricey and shortThe ice trekking is super beautiful that I can recommend to everyone. However, the hike itself is only 1.5 hours so bear that in mind. Also, considering it's very expensive you don't get that much in return. Last but not least, the guide in the beginning could only talk in Spanish which wasn't a problem for Spanish speakers like me but the Americans in our group i.e. felt left out and had no clue what's going on.Written 27 November 2024
- hazelg6970 contributionsUnforgettable trek on the world’s third biggest glacier! This was an incredible experience - trekking the world’s 3rd largest glacier, after only Antarctica and Greenland! Our guides - Nicholas (and Leandro), provided great information about the glaciers and showed the trek’s highlights. Nicholas took pictures of trek participants in areas with the best views. The tour ended with whisky toasts, paired with chocolate! Be forewarned though - although brief, the trek was strenuous, with the added weight of the crampons. Once the catamaran sails, there is no access to food so regardless of what the website says, you must pack lunch. This is a must do in El Calafate!Written 20 November 2024
- jotoole890 contributionsGorgeous Glacier Hike - DO ITThis was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. You get picked up from your hotel in El Calafate around 7 am and there’s about a 2 hour drive to the glacier park. You have to pay 30,0000 pesos (around $30 USD). Americans - BRING CASH. They only accept MasterCard (no visa, no AmEx), so cash is easier to use. After you arrive you have about an hour to explore the glacier from the park - there are numerous paths that let you see the glacier from afar. You then board back on the bus and go to the port to take about a 20 minute boat ride to a refuge where you take a quick break and can have coffee or use the bathroom. You then hike about 45 minutes to the summit of the glacier, and then get crampons on and hike the glacier for about 2.5 hours. It is SOOOO cool. The views are insane and the glacier is beautiful. At the end, they pour you a glass of scotch over ice from the glacier! You then do the walk back, get on the boat and head home. This is a full day activity (you won get back til about 5 or 6 pm), and you need to dress for conditions. When we went it was super windy and raining and we wore multiple layers, but many were unprepared. There are plenty of places in downtown El Calafate to rent equipment if you don’t want to pack it because you’re traveling across Argentina. Overall HIGHLY recommend this experience.Written 8 November 2024
- andreahiso0 contributionsAmazing one of a kind experienceAmazing one of a kind experience. The excursion was well organised and structured. We were picked up from our hotel by a van, driven to the national park entrance where tourists have to pay entrance fee and then taken to the lookout where we we were left behind to be able to explore the lookout area overlooking the glacier. After two hours we were picked up then taken to the pier to start the mini trekking. We also paid for the entrance to the glacier. We had an amazing guide who slowly took us walking on the glacier, to the peek then had whiskey on patagonian ice. It was truly awesome.Written 1 November 2024
- F7363WWandrewk0 contributionsTierra dell Fuego parc no price reduction when 80%of trails are closed.Disappointing to arrive in parc and pay full cost of 30'000 pesos for one day when we learned that many of the most popular trails were closed. Some pretty scenery but very pricey for a foreign tourist compared with about same price for 3 days in Torres del Paine, or zero cost for hiking in Los Glaciares from El Chalten.Written 16 October 2024
- matthewlG1589BN0 contributionsEverything I expected, and more.I know it’s a bit pricey, but i enjoyed the day out, which included a mini trek of the glacier, plus the views later on from the 2.5km walkways were out of this world!Written 25 September 2024
