What to expect
  • After pickup at your Ushuaia hotel, travel with a small group to Tierra del Fuego National Park with an outdoors expert at the helm. Arrive at Bahia Ensenada (Ensenada Bay) to appreciate gorgeous views of the Beagle Channel before setting out on your leisurely hike on one of two local trails.  Trek on Pampa Alta or Senda Costera, depending on your guide's recommendation, the conditions that day and the group's skill level and interests. The 4-mile (8-km) Senda Costera winds along the coast for approximately 3 hours, while Pampa Alta is a 3-mile (5-km) path that offers bird watching, beautiful alpine views and takes about 2 hours.  Learn about nature, geography, and wildlife from your guide as you walk through this diverse area. Look out for ancient Yámanas settlements and the native Antarctic beech trees.  Arrive at Lago Roca (Roca Lake) in time for a picnic lunch in the forest. Sip mineral water, wine, and soft drinks while enjoying chicken breast en papillote (baked in foil) with cheese and tomato.  When lunch is finished, prepare for a 1.5-hour scenic canoe ride in the Lapataia River, led by your guide and suitable for all skill levels. End up at the remote Lapataia Bay and the Beagle Channel, which both host abundant birdlife such as geese, ducks, and plovers. Finish your adventure here, amid the 'end of the world' views in this pristine bay surrounded with dramatic mountains and lush forest.  After, board your minibus for the trip back to Ushuaia and drop-off at your hotel.

Loved this tour. Gabriel and Ariel were excellent and lots of fun. Loved the scenic hike and canoe. It was a good day. Would highly recommend if you are looking for an active day in nature, but not super strenuous.

My travel companion and I were picked up at our hotel, driven east a few km to the park entrance and then embarked on about an 8 km hike along the lovely coastal areas and forest. The hot lunch was excellent. The guide very good, helpful, and passionate about the park and wildlife. I highly recommend this tour !

Gabriel (guide and raft captain) and Walter (driver/cook/host with most) were amazing! The hike was beautiful and informative. We enjoyed the pace and wonderful trail. The lunch was delicious and hearty. The rafting was so much fun. This experience is a must. The small group made it a lot more special. The weather was perfect.

Interesting trip, nice guides.
Unfortunately, we didn't feel well in the morning, so we couldn't fully appreciate a rather long and challenging hiking part (approximately 7 km thought a mountaineuos terrain).
So make sure you have sufficient fitness level and have enough sleep the night before to enjoy the experience fully:)

Special thanks to Pedro, Mattias and Ariel for the lunch which so far has been the best one I ever had in such excursions, and I didn't even drink wine! :)

We had a great guide who made the walk interesting however we’d have preferred a longer raft ride. The lunch and location were superb! I’d do it again especially if we saw the sea lions swim up to our raft one more time.

Gabriel led and Pedro assisted in excellent hike, with knowledge of trees, plants, geography, early people. Both very friendly, and kind. Gabriel funny and self effacing. He related well to all on board - Germans, Swiss, Canadian, and United States, Excellent, hike, a bit more than moderate, but faster ones waited for slower, a great break after the hike with lunch and wine, then into the rafts! And a demanding start right into a very strong headwind, but we all did well with their instruction. It is all day as advertised. I highly recommend this excursion!

we spends around four hours there, total distance 8 km, ascending 339 m all together. it is even better than what my trekking at Amzon, more animals that I saw in live, peaceful wide nature.
