About
This tour with outstanding guides adds a perspective of exploration of Tierra del Fuego National Park. The plan is to walk in the forests along the Beagle Canal. Fun & Nature are found as you learn about this end of the world, during the hike and while canoeing easily and quietly down rivers and on the sea at Lapataia Bay. This area is one of the most frequently visited places in Ushuaia: it is close to the city, it is easily accessible and it is said that it does not require to be approached in any particular way. Still, its secrets only unfold with the help of specialized guides that will enable you to know places inaccessible by foot or by car.

A fun and educational trekking and canoeing tour in Tierra del Fuego National Park. Not too strenuous. Good hot lunch served in the "southernmost restaurant in the world". Norberto was a superb guide.

Convenient pick-up at our hotel. Beautiful 7 km hike E -> W across the park, up-and-down small hills and along the shore. Took the English tour with 4 Italians, 2 French, 2 Germans and 4 Americans (ages 30-70). Our guide Valentin amazed us all with his total recall of all of our names and homes in addition to the flora, fauna, and history of the area. Stopped for a delicious hot lunch in an eco-dome (a stew of chicken/zucchini/peppers, rice/peas, cheese polenta, bread, pasta salad, wine, and a sweet potato/cheese/cream dessert). Mauricio then led the group to the raft put-in and we paddled in the Beagle Channel to Lapataia Bay. Easy paddle in sheltered water. The take-out was at the sign marking the terminus of Rte. 3, the Pan-American Highway (Alaska to Tierra del Fuego). Great guides! Great day!

Took a tour which included seeing many areas and the train etc. Very beautiful park and great way to learn history of the town and nature. Would strongly suggest visiting the end of the world.

A fantastic and friendly team. Spectacular 7 km guided walk along the shoreline and forest of the Terre Del Fuego National Park. A few ascents on the walk but nothing too hard. Small groups (about 10) and the pace was really relaxed. Lunch was Devine. We had a cooked lunch with wine and dessert in an Eco Dome overlooking the lake. Then we got to paddle down the river to the edge of the Beagle Channel in Inflatable type rafts. Fantastic scenery and very safe and relaxing. The guides were friendly, professional and informative about the history and flora and fauna of the area. 10/10.

Enthusiastic guides try hard for you to enjoy the day. They are knowledgeable of the basic history and wildlife of the area. We were initially scheduled for a kayak trip, but cancelled due to wind. You must be flexible and expect any weather here in Tierra del Fuego in the Summer. We did an 8 km hike mostly in the rain, on a trail with mud, roots and rocks. Scenery reminds one of the PNW or Alaska. Views of mountains and rocky coastline. Must be in good physical condition and be used to walking on irregular trails, up and down the hills. We were served a nice family style lunch in a giant dome tent structure, with wine and chicha. Afternoon was spent paddling some inflatable rafts, same scenery as on hike, but more in the open. They will outfit you with rubber boots and pants for the rafting. All done in the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Pick up and drop off at your hotel included.

Very well organized. Great guide. Beautiful hike and a lovely paddle. Guide was very knowledgeable and responsive to questions. Wish we could have hiked a little more slowly to really see better what was around us, and take more pictures. But we had a deadline for lunch. Maybe a box lunch would have given us more time on the trail.

This trip was organized by a US-based travel company working with an Argentina tour consolidator who contracted with Canal Fun so we had no idea what we were getting but it was one of the best days on our Argentina adventure. If we go back to the area, we will definitely work directly with Valentin and Canal Fun for more excursions. Valentin met our group of 12 at our hotel and got to know us immediately. We worked together to determine the length of our hike and he made sure to take plenty of breaks for the teens (and adults). Snacks and water were provided plus the lunch in the geodesic dome were delicious. Wish we had known that rubber boots and dry-pants were provided before we embarked from the hotel (would have saved us carrying rain pants x 12 ppl) but other than that it was a perfect day. On the way back to the hotel, Valentin and the driver were kind enough to let us stop in town for a quick shopping trip to prepare for New Years Eve festivities. Great sights, fun guide, good food, excellent service.

Our group of 13 was picked up at the cruise ship port by Flor, and spent a fantastic day at the park! We started with a unique hot lunch experience at a yurt with a beautiful view, followed by an amazing canoe trip. Although the weather was windy and raining at times, Flor was unflappable and upbeat and was able to give our group an incredible experience. We even saw sea lions during the canoeing! This was followed by 2 beautiful short hikes with incredible views. Flor was very organized, adaptable, and definitely the best tour guide of our trip. Highly recommend!
