Stop: 6 hours - Admission included
We depart from the port towards the west to visit a pristine and wonderful place which became a national park in 1960. After arriving at the park we will stop at Ensenada Bay where the End of the World Post Office is located. Here tourists have the chance to stamp their passports as a souvenir. FIRST HIKE " COAST TRAIL" LOW DIFFICULTY - 40 MINUTES LONG " : We start the first hike at Ensenada Bay, taking part of the Shore trail while enjoying the awesome views of the Beagle Channel and its wildlife. At this point, it is possible to see the flag trees ( trees bent by the strong Pacific Ocean winds). From there it is possible to observe the Murray Channel which was crossed by Charles Darwin and Captain Fitz Roy in 1830 when they discovered the Beagle Channel and interacted with the natives. It is also possible to get up close to archeological sites of 8000 years old, where the natives used to build their shelters. SECOND HIKE " CAÑADON DEL TORO"-LOW DIFFICULTY - 30 MINUTES LONG": After hiking through the peacefull Andean forest with an amazing landscape of mountains we will get to a viewpoint to appreciate one of the cascades of Rio Pipo, melted water that comes from the glaciers that empties into the Beagle Channel. THIRD HIKE " ROCA LAKE AND LAPATAIA RIVER "-LOW DIFFICULTY - 20 MINUTES LONG": We head towards Roca Lake, where guests can take a peaceful and charming walk around part of the lake, and part of Lapataia River taking magnificent photos. After a short stroll, we will arrive at a coffee shop where you will be able to purchase hot chocolate and/or snacks while enjoying the panoramic view of the mountains, forest, and rivers. I suggest you bring at least $20 USD for a snack at this stop. After our stop we will cross the Lapataia River, visiting the Cormoranes Archipelago, the Green Lagoon and the Ovando River. Finally, we will drive to the Lapataia Bay, the end of the Panamerican Highway, where we will see the famous Alaskan mileage -marker sign before returning to the ship. FORTH HIKE " LAPATAIA VIEW POING" LOW DIFFICULTY - 40 MINUTES LONG": We will walk beyond the actual End of The World (end of Tthe Panamerican Highway), surrounding Lapataia Bay where we will have amazing views of the Darwin Range which has the highest mountains on the island with year-round snow caps on the peaks. Next, you will experience a wonderful hike across the forest where we will observe impressive beaver dams. "If we are lucky, we may even spot a beaver or two." Afterwards, we will arrive at the end of the trail from where you will breathe the freshest and purest air in the world while delighting in scenic views of the mountains, the forests, the snow and the sea. Finally, you will ride in your comfortable van with your amazing guide, back to your ship.

Enjoyed the magnificent views and the local fauna and flora, very well explained by the guide.
The walks were not too long, but I would have preferred longer ones.

Incredible experience!!!
We had an incredible time! Juan, our guide was fun, informative, and professional. Ushuaia was beautiful, and we felt like we had an advantage over all of the tour groups on busses as we watched them from afar in our small group with superior vistas! Communication before and after the trip was responsive and reassuring. This is a company that understands the industry and should be trusted. Thank you Edgar for this experience!

Review of shore Excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park
Feb 2019 • Couples
We chose a shore excursion from the Cruise Critic and was well organised. It was with Edgar and although we enjoyed it, the three hikes we did we felt was poorly organised. The hardest hike was first and the two others were very low difficulty. Could have had the lesser ones first and then the hardest one last to get used to the walking. The guide we had had a strong accent and was based at the front of the bus and should have been in the middle of the bus so that those at the back had a chance of hearing him.. All in all, we had a good day, no problems and probably would choose same again. .Amazing part of the world

Great overview of the park
Jan 2019 • Couples
A van picked us up from a parking area some distance from the ship, at the end of the pier plus more steps. I think this is a constraint on all private excursions and possibly ship-organized ones too. Then we rode through Ushuaia for a few minutes to get a general feeling of the town. Then the van went onto Hwy 3 to go into the park. While in the park the van stopped at various locations, whereupon we visitors alighted from the van and walked 20-30 minutes on trails.

All the stops offered great views of the park, and I took plenty of photos.

One of the stops was a large building which had a cafeteria, a museum, a shop and of course restrooms. It's by the side of a large lake and there is a walk at this stop. To be clear, the van parks in the parking lot of the large building, you're not walking very far from the van to the building. There is a trail to walk though with more sights to see than can be seen from the building.

One of the stops had the post office at the end of the continent. I think the sign claimed that it was the geographical center of Argentina, including the Argentine Antarctic. Again there is a walk from here.

There is also a stop that allows you to walk down to the end of the highway. The van drops you at the start of the walk and you meet the van at the end of the highway.

The timing of the excursion might feel on the early side. If it is, consider it a bonus as you watch the giant buses arrive at the parking lot at the end of the highway just as you're boarding the van to return to Ushuaia. We had about 15 minutes where the buses had not yet arrived.

The description of the excursion in its brevity didn't mention that it is a series of walks so the experience was a lot different than I pictured.

I personally was not impressed with the appearance of cities in Argentina and didn't need to see what I think would be the least attractive section of Ushuaia.

The van was driven by a driver who didn't need to speak English well, and didn't. The guide spoke English well.

Fabulous!
Oct 2018 • Friends
A group of us completed this tour - everything was very simple with the booking process, quickly answered emails and when additions were made to the group, there was no issue. The day itself was just brilliant - fabulous scenery, friendly helpful guide - all in all a fabulous experience and definitely recommended. Don't hesitate to book - you won't regret it! :0)

A drive in the park with some easy walking
Dec 2018 • Couples
This tour is well worth it because of the excellent tour guide and the beauty of the park. However, the ease and amount of the walking is not really what any hiker would label as a hike. This is more like a drive to different viewpoints/places in the park with some easy walking. My wife needs a cane to walk & she was easily able to do this. I booked this tour from a cruise ship so that could have something to do with how this was conducted. There are some excellent hikes in this area so if you are expecting to hike it's probably best if you ask some very specific questions.
