- O9080PXlaurag0 contributionsit was okThe tour was OK, but not sure I would do it again. Although I requested a tour in English, it was mostly in Spanish. I was allowed to ask questions in English, but the tour itself was primarily given in Spanish (spoken very quickly!). Even though I speak Spanish, I'm not familiar with Argentine Spanish and the guide spoke very fast so I missed a lot. It was not really worth the money I paid. In retrospect, I wish I had skipped the tour and only did the train ride.Written 10 August 2024
- C1489UVmarthas0 contributionsGreat ExperienceGreat tour of the Tierra del Fuego National Park. The tour guides from Ushuaia Info were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. A nice place to visit for nature lovers. The train ride is a little long, but fun experience.Written 22 April 2024
- sparkya20230 contributionsLots of nature and history mixed with a little adrenaline. This excursion was a lot of bang for the buck. Duration was 9 hours. Our guide was a pleasant fellow born and raised in Ushuaia and his English skills were good. There were five of us, myself and four others from Buenos Aires. I don't speak much Spanish and they didn't speak much English but we had fun trying to converse. Of course, the guide translated a lot. The trip started with a hotel pickup and a couple of stops for photo ops north of Ushuaia. Then we began the off road part. We descended down dirt switchbacks to Hidden Lake and visited a creepy derelict hotel that was abandoned about 30 years ago. As we made our way around the lake we stopped two more times for photo ops. Then we visited a coffee shop to relax and enjoy the placid environment. The second part of the off road was to Lake Fagnano. We went to a rustic setting where lunch was prepared for us. It was very good and I have to say that meal would have cost at least $75 USD in Ushuaia. A vegetarian option was also available. Wine, coke, and water were the drinks of choice. We stayed there a while, enjoyed the Lakeside solitude and then departed for Ushuaia. We stopped one more time at a nature preserve to watch beavers actively building the largest beaver dam I've ever seen. There was a lot of wildlife throughout the trip. We saw Patagonia foxes and parello birds up close, and the beavers. This excursion was at a very relaxed pace. There was a schedule to keep, of course, but nothing was rushed. I would highly recommend this trip to see some of the beauty Tierra Del Fruego has to offer.Written 22 March 2024
- barclay20230 contributionsThe perfect experienceUshuaia has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I walked to another hotel to wait on a 4x4 adventure and the mountains were breathtaking. We drove east into the mountains and then north. We drove through the Bombillo forest. We were on a typical tourist route when we were on hardtop. No one followed off road. Our driver and guide, Mauricio, loves his job. He says he goes on vacation everyday. I spent the day as the only english speaker. Maricio spoke a little. It was a fun trying to learn about one another with Spanglish. I also listened to their conversations via google translate until we lost cell coverage. My travel partners were from Cordova, Argentina, two from Uruguay and two from La Plata. One was a nurse, one retired, one worked as a domestic in a school, one was a factory worker, and another was a ship's captain. We stopped and entered an abandoned house. Anyone up until 20 years ago could bid for a 10 year lease on the property from the government. They shut it down because the septic system was leaking into the lake(seems like they could have fixed that). The scenery around the home would never get tiring. We stopped for a coffee in a community of Escondido. They were roasting a pig. We stopped for an extended period of time at a semi-primitive camp. We ate sausage sandwiches, salad, some steak and a dulce de leche and nectarine dessert. Mauricio went above and beyond. We were treated to carancho (like an eagle), a red fox, and a hawk enjoying our leftover food. The lakes we saw were Hidden lake and Fagnano. The wind blowing off the lake was freezing. On the way back we stopped at a few more scenic spots. We went on a short hike above a beaver pond and watched them swim a little. It was an experience I will remember fondly forever.Written 21 March 2024

- magassouba0 contributionsSo-so tourUnfortunately, the weather was not cooperative on this tour, which is no one's fault. Beware, however, that if you don't book the train part of the tour, you will spend a significant part of the tour sitting around waiting for everyone else to take the train. It would be nice if something better were planned for those people. We did stop in a grassy area to watch the train go by. I would have actually liked to spend more time there. There was also a lovely path by the post office and I would have liked more time at that stop to go and walk down it. In general, I think it might be better to take private transportation.Written 2 March 2024
- mo2yoy0 contributionsNice tourWe enjoyed the tour. The train ride was very slow but, seeing couple of old trains were very nice. The highlight was seeing a fox from a bus. We took a morning tour and returned by a rental car to the park to explore by our self later in the afternoon. (the park ticket was good for a day).Written 16 February 2024
- radhakrishnan20180 contributionsGreat experience on Indian TrainTravelled in Vandenharath express train from Ernakulam to Trivandrum. The train was clean and good seats with plenty of leg space. Food served was of good standard and polite helpful staff. I haven't Travelled on Indian trains for a long time, impressed by the improvement, thanks to the present central government.Written 7 February 2024
- Riccardo P0 contributionsGood tour if you do not have enough time to visit the parkThe tour is ok, but not enough time to properly see anything in the park. A stop to the visitor center that could be avoided to provide more time to explore the park.Written 5 February 2024
- SASFall910 contributionsExcellent day, excellent GuideI had a fantastic day with Gonzalo and Info de Ushuaia. And the other couple on the tour were just finishing their week in Ushuaia and said they had done several tours with Gonzalo as well all week and he was the best. Based on my experience on this tour, I believed them and worked with Gonzalo several more times during my stay. The tour was excellent. It was much more informative and scenic than I had imagined. We did have a delicious meal too at an interesting little restaurant, but the sights and information shared touring the area beforehand, which was really the bulk of the day, made it much more than just a drive to a restaurant for a local crab meal. Gonzalo was a great guide and excellent person to talk to with his own awesome stories and adventures.Written 5 February 2024
- SASFall910 contributionsExcellent tour, company, and GuideGonzalo was my guide for this (and a couple other Info de Ushuaia tours). He was excellent and the reason I used this company for several tours with this company during my week in Ushuaia. Riding in an SUV/4x4 over rough tracks, bouncing through puddles and creeks while also listening to Info about the area, what we were seeing, and an excellent lunch. It was a great day.Written 5 February 2024

Sebastian our guide was excellent in every way. He was able to keep us walking at a good pace and still find time to stop and take pictures while explaining the beautiful surroundings.

Terrible experience. I hired the Info Ushuaia service (I paid 104usd) where they stressed the importance of physical condition to go to Ojo del Albino. With me it was a family of 4, including a 12-year-old boy and a 19-year-old girl and their parents. Halfway through, at 12:15pm, 10 minutes past Laguna Esmeralda, which is done without the need for a guide or tour, the guide stops and says that the tour has reached that point and that we will not reach the Ojo del Albino because the family with the I was not in physical condition and it would take too long and it was going to be sunset (in the summer it gets sunset at 10pm or later and it only takes 3 hours to walk). We complained that we all wanted to go up to the final destination, that that is what we had paid, but the guide refused and indicated that we had signed a document where he is the authority to decide. It was a scam! In the end I ended up going alone with other groups that did not go with a guide or tours, but the guide made me film a video saying that he and the company disclaimed responsibility if something happened to me and that I had to return the helmet and trekking pole that I had received. They were included in the tour I paid for, which was the height of inconsiderate, irresponsible and ridiculous. In the end I went up, I got to see the impressive and wonderful Ojo del Albino ALONE with this group of friends that I made and when I came back down I CATCHED THEM (it took 40 minutes). The family I was with was very upset that they couldn't get to the final destination seeing as it wasn't long before they got there. The next day I went to complain to INFO USHUAIA and they disclaimed full responsibility for the document that was signed where the guide had total authority. It was a SCAM since I ended up doing the tour ALONE!
