What to expect
Meet a driver at your Sedona hotel for morning departure, then board a comfortable vehicle for the 204-mile (328-kilometer) trip to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. The route to the park is a scenic highlight in itself, and you’ll pass through Oak Creek Canyon and the Painted Desert on your way to Navajo Nation. Pause at the historic Cameron Trading Post, where Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni artists display their work—this is the perfect place to shop for unique souvenirs. As you travel into the Navajo Nation, you’ll see hogans along the way, the low-roofed traditional dwellings of the Navajo people. Upon arrival at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, pause for lunch at The View Restaurant, where tall windows make the most of gorgeous desert vistas. After lunch, continue farther into the park to explore Monument Valley geology and history, with frequent stops to stretch your legs and walk around. Many of the most famous rock formations in Monument Valley line “The Loop,” a 17-mile (23-kilometer) road that winds through the park. As you drive, the guide will share stories about Navajo culture and people, pointing out named rock formations at the edge of the road. Following your time in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, begin the return trip to Sedona, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Beware booking reliability
Going to Monument Valley was to be the highlight of my month's tour of the USA, and visiting Arizona in winter seemed the perfect way to avoid the heat and the crowds.
Wrong! Tour companies, including Angels Gate, do not run unless they have a minimum number, and it seems that in January nobody is interested in going to Arizona. Our choice to stay in Flagstaff was a time consuming diversion, and we would have been better to do a Grand Canyon tour from a bigger city for a fraction of the cost to travel to and stay in to Flagstaff and hang out for four days because the tours we had booked ahead didn't run.
Or hire a car and do your own thing.

Sedona Red Rock
Ha d been to Sedona many times but Larry gave us more information then I leaned on all of the other trips. Beautiful sites and plenty of time to view. However he said he might leave us to take a cab back if we were late.
