My son and I were recently part of a two day (one night stay) tour with Meteora Thrones and we had a fabulous experience! The bus ride was comfortable though understandably long (4 and 1/2 hours) which is why we opted to spend the night in the pretty village of Kalambaka. We went on the sunset tour on the day we arrived and a hiking tour the next morning. Our guide for the sunset tour was Maria who was both very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and the monasteries. The following morning, Giannis guided out mildly challenging hike through the oak forest and rock outcroppings of the area. We saw the monasteries from a distance, the incredible geological features and even went into a hermit cave. Giannis explained details about the area and its history with authority. The only con I have of the trip is that our hotel's wifi service did not work. But that aside, I highly recommend Meteora Thrones Tours!

Thank you for the amazing excursion. Very interesting information. It was interesting to find out about the story of documentary project about the holy trinity monastery, that turned out the be a James Bond -film. 🩷 Very pleased 🩷 And Kalampaka is a lovely village. Springtime is the excellent time to visit Meteora. Not too crowded place. Excellent food 🩷😋

Fantastic organisation, lots of stops for the photo shoot, interesting story. Beautiful, peaceful place with it's unique character and unforgettable magical feeling.

While seeing all 6 monasteries is OK, it is unnecessary to visit 3. The experience would still be memorable by visiting only 2 while reducing the total duration. Coming late at night also affects next day's plan for the tourists as they struggle to squeeze as many as programs as possible within short stay in Athens.

We did the one day trip from Athens the day after completing a 10 day Best of Greece cruise. We saw many amazing locations and sights on our cruise, but I think Meteora was our trip highlight! Clement, our guide (as well as our driver) was just outstanding and this trip is not to be missed. Well worth the long ride each way (but we want to do a longer overnight trip in future). Even on a cold and partly rainy day, we saw so much and it was stunning.

The bus from meteora to Athens was so hot everyone was profusely sweating. I usually tend to be cold so this was exceptionally warm. The driver was asked to turn on the AC but he didn’t. He was the same driver that took us from Athens to meterora. He was unfriendly and annoyed with everyone. Very uncomfortable 4 hours each way.

This was an amazing tour a long journey tour but worth to do a must do when in greece our guide Maria was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic a well organised tour with a good bus driver and a punctual program

Meteora is a unique place to visit. It was very smooth and unforgettable trip. You can join tour from your hotel by tour bus. Tour guide and driver were really kind, helpful and friendly. If you plan to visit Meteora you will never regret.

It was nice to visit Meteora with these guys. All of them were very knowledgeable and nice persons. I must mention Dinos, our driver for both the days, wonderful person, I even lost my sunglasses and he came back to return it. Our tour guides were Maria and Ioanas, both of them were very friendly and well informative about the history, mythology and geology, which made our tour much more interesting. I really recommend them and would like to come back as the place itself is mesmerising with nature and history. Thank you Meteora Thrones. Thank you very much Dinos, Maria and Ioanas (pardon me if I misspelled any of your name 😉) to make the trip memorable 😊

The day trip to Meteora by Meteora Thrones was amazing....the view of the monasteries and the mountains were stunning! The tour started and ended on time with adequate restroom breaks. Our English-speaking tour guide Maria was extremely knowledgeable about the place, its historical and geographical information and the different monasteries. We had numerous photo-stops on the way. Our driver Psycas was an excellent driver. We visited 3 of the monasteries from inside as was promised and all 6 monasteries from outside. Thank you

The monasteries of meteora are a must see! Did a day tour from thessaloniki. Initially had planned to take the train but due to disruptions in service, alternative options were provided by the company who were swift and responsive in making the arrangements. Many thanks to Chris for the smooth drive over and return, pointing out scenery along the way. The tour itself was well conducted. Maria was also a bubbly and enthusiastic guide. Had a great time! Highly recommended.

The views were amazing. The English speaking tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history, very helpful with taking pictures and eager to answer all questions. Although, the trip took 4 hours each way, the bus was quite comfortable and the country side interesting

The tour guide was very professional and really good at storytelling. Very interesting tour with important insights and unbelievable views. I want to say big thanks to the guide and drivers, who ride so that you don't notice the time spent on the road.

Had an incredible time on this 2-day tour amongst the rocks - I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Athens. Shoutout to Nikos and Giannis, who were both fantastic tour guides.
