I have visited Jaén several times but I was pleasantly surprised to visit places I had never seen. The cost of this tour included entry to the cathedral and Helena’s superb knowledge of the place would have made the tour worth taking just for the cathedral piece. We climbed to the upper balconies which look into the inside of the cathedral from one side and out to the lovely hills and city surrounding it. Helena’s information regarding the mostly lost Jewish quarter - and local attempts to bring it back - were appreciated. We also visited the Arab baths where much work has been done to help visitors understand what an amazing complex it was - and is. At the end of our tour Helena pointed us to a tapas bar and helped us select some sweet treats to take home. I thoroughly recommend Helena’s tour; so much so, that I would consider taking it again!
