    Fox experience
Was best day of my life meeting the foxes and petting Dexter, such a gentle foxo. Was also amazing seeing all the other animals well cared for and loved. Would love to experience again some other day.

You have to go here with an open mind
You have to go here with an open mind and think about what they’re trying to achieve. The animals are very well looked after and you can tell the staff are doing their best for them. The enclosures are well suited to each animal and the ones that need extra privacy and space are given just that. The whole place is quite big with different parts to explore, some of the displays are very informative and staff were all willing to give us backstories about the animals. The ONLY downside to the trip was the cafe, I don’t know if it was the time of day or time of year we visited (midweek in July) but there wasn’t a huge selection.

    Seventh heaven
Despite the wet conditions really enjoyed the park but the highlight was spending a great half hour with three adorable meerkats. Very informative and friendly keeper. The meerkats were very relaxed and spent the whole time exploring us and were comfortable enough to cuddle up and go to sleep!

    Fox experience
We thoroughly enjoyed the fox encounter, our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We were thrilled to actually go into the enclosure and pet the foxes, something I’ve always wanted to do.

A wonderful place to visit and support
We had a Meerkat experience with Sam today, it was such an amazing time! I can't recommend the park or the experience enough, and Sam was such a knowledgeable and passionate person about the animals at the park it was a wonderful time. The Park clearly does a lot for its animals and cares for them and really is a sanctuary, which is all the more lovely when you learn more about them and the circumstances of some being acquired. The food in the cafe was delicious, and they even wrapped us up some cake to take home (tempted to go back just for some cake tomorrow!) and at a good price as well. We'll definitely be back to do more animal experiences in the future! All the staff we spoke to were polite and friendly, just all around a great place doing a great thing for animals you don't really see at a lot of zoos or other wildlife parks.

Will be returning in the future
We did the Arctic Fox experience for two, a new experience they are offering (it wasn't on the drop down option so had to select this one) Car park isn't ideal for low cars with a few potholes and mainly grass to park on. We were first welcomed by Raccoons then met by a Serval before meeting a staff member...amazing! The staff here were great and there's a lovely selection of wild cats and farm animals to see. Everything is laid out nicely and you can spend half a day here. The food facilities aren't the best but it is clear this is a new business and they are still clearly growing and I can't wait to see them grow. The arctic fox experience was great. First we prepped their food then went into their enclose with them to throw the food and watch them eat. You cannot pet or handle these guys! They are wild at the end of the day and not meant for human handling. Will return in the future to see how far they've grown. My favourite part... the book at reception that tells you where every single animal has come from.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our visit
I really enjoyed our trip to Ark. it isn’t my first visit but we enjoy it every time. It’s is a lovely little wildlife park housing rescue animals. All the enclosures were a great size with lots of enrichment for the animals. The dinosaur walk round the lake is great for kids. There are wooden walkways to accommodate disabled visitors. There is also a play area for children. The cafe has a good selection of toasties, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. We had tea and cake. The cake selection was great and the chocolate cake and brownie we had were delicious. They obviously have a talented baker. Definitely worth a visit. Will be visiting again soon as it is so important to support small rescues like this with the rising running costs

Honestly the staff are just so rude I took my
Two children on a week day not even a hello or a smile they just took my money. Non of the keepers seem to be able to crack a smile. Went to buy some food from the cafe had to wait for the woman to finish her conversation and then proceed to clear plates before she served me bare in mind we were the only ones in there at that time. She then told me my daughter was upsetting their serval cat with all the noise she was making because she started crying. Animals are fun to look at but the staff are rude and very unwelcoming

We had a lovely afternoon wandering around here looking at the history of all the animals couldn't believe the turtles were found wandering down the High Street. Saw the lovely fox cubs would have loved to take one home so cute. Fell in love with the little marmoset that came up close to say hello. Loved watching the savannahs cat while we sat and had a coffee my son enjoyed collecting the stamps something to keep his interest as he gets bored easily

Really great find and will definitely return. Sad that so many of the animals are there because someone fancied an exotic pet then didn't know how to look after it, however, good that Ark knows how to. The whole site is well set out and clearly the care of the animals is paramount. We had a really good visit and enjoyed learning things we didn't know about some of the animals. Everyone there was really helpful and the keepers were really knowledgeable. We visit Lincolnshire regularly and will go there a gain. Good value and a nice little cafe too.

We came for the first time in August and had an amazing time. My youngest (aged 7) and her friend loved being able to play freely in the play areas and walk around the park to visit the animals. They especially enjoyed the pony, alpacas and the little goats!

The food was fab and we benefited from the eat out to help out scheme so it was ridiculously cheap.

We arrived around 10.30 and was one off the last families to leave. All in all a fab way to spend a day with children!

We last visited Ark in 2020 and what fantastic changes it has made! We love it when we go to places where the staff really care about the place and where money is put back into the business with such care. Lots of the animals are unusual and a real mixed bag as they are often rescues or animals seized from illegal trade/customs.

Since the last time we came they have introduced the Trash Panda indoor soft play area which our sensory ASD little boy absolutely loved, and another indoor play area with a large climbing frame and some fab ride on electric carts (which take contactless card) that go around a track. So, now, so even if the weather is a bit iffy then you have some lovely fun bits to do. Likewise there is shaded/covered areas in front of the cafe. Really liked the dinosaurs they have added in now too.

The tanuki will always be my fave!

We spent a really lovely morning here. The children loved it. All the animals are rescue animals and all of them seem very happy and healthy. There is a cafe serving snacks and light meals, this sanctuary is well worth a visit. The Meercats are adorable!

Doing a grand job rescuing animals even though many failed to put in an appearance. Too many signs so one just misses things. Sign for ball play digger stating contactless payment needs to be lower down near the digger. Lost £2 and couldn't get refund. Took ages to get attention at front desk. Same worker that was unsympathetic about digger totally ignored me at the desk. Not enough toilets and no toilet paper. Stone path at monkey pen is dangerous as stones too big. Gate to dinosaur area hard to open. Both situations not good for disabled. Horrible stink of burning fat when we sat in play area. Steering wheel came off of the play area 'tractor'. Having said all that the 2 girls aged 12 and 9 enjoyed themselves but I wouldn't take a 15 year old. It really is for young children.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you appreciate the hard work our staff and volunteers do. We wont reply to all the points raised as think they all stem from the digger issue. To explain again, there is a sign stating the digger is contactless and also a card machine. You had put the coins in a random hole in the mechanism, where there is no coin return, sign or anything. The reason I may not have been very sympathetic (although polite and explained) was because we now have to call an engineer out to check there is no damage and the coins havent got caught somewhere, which we could do without during a cost of living crisis. I am not really sure what more we could of done to make it clear it was contactless and has never happened before. As for waiting, nobody ignored you at all, having reviewed the CCTV you were taking pictures in our fab dino egg before coming to the counter and shouting over other people waiting that unless someone came and served you right now you were going to walk out with a toy without paying, we werent given a chance to come and serve you. There is a big sign at reception saying to please go to the cafe if no one there as we use it when busy in the cafe. I am sorry if you felt you were ignored but everybody was busy serving the queue and there was a sign to direct customers. Anyway, hoping this clears things up and glad you reviewed so we could explain again about the digger. Thanks for supporting the sanctuary.

Today was the 1st time we had ever visited the park and we left wondering why it took us so long to come! My little boy absolutely loved it there and it helped with the staff being so friendly! One of the keepers took time to talk to us about the animals and we loved watching the lemurs eating their breakfast!

It is well laid out and the children areas are perfect. The food was perfect and they were so accommodating for my little boy who is dairy free (made his own special jam sandwich which he loved!)

Overall, we loved it and we will be telling all our friends and family to get down there. We will definitely be back again very soon! Thank you to everyone who works there!

A brilliant place to bring children, in particular young children. It has a lovely layout plenty to do for 3 hours plus. If your children are under 10 you could easily spend the day. The animals are very well cared for and the park is kept very well. There are some wonderful animals to see. Particularly the cat variety. But my favourite are the retired and rescued ex lab monkeys. Bless them 😢 so pleased they are no longer being tested on. Thank you Ark for another lovely day.

We'd planned to visit a wildlife park while we was on holiday in Ingoldmells. We choose this as it had some animals in we'd never seen in previous zoos or wildlife parks. It's not a very big park but it was still lots of fun, my children are 13 and 11 and they loved it. They enjoyed doing the stamp challenge and getting their dinosaur badges. The cafe was very busy and we had a wait but the food was spot on and couldn't fault it at all.I was shocked but also extremely pleased at how close u could get to the animals, unlike most places where your so far away from them. It was a great day out and would definitely go again.

Park Entry for a Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) provided by Ark Wildlife Park & Exotic Animal Sanctuary
