Booked this tour as smartphone audio guide but was also told there would be a live English speaking guide too. We thought there would be an English speaking guide on the coach (as that is what it said) and the smartphone guide was for when we got to Plovdiv. Turns out they gave us incorrect information, we were put on a coach full of Italians, with an Italian speaking guide. Unable to understand anything, no english explanations given and unable to hear the audio guide during the journey, as the Italian guide was speaking so loud. Also falsely advertised on the site that admission tickets to the theatre and museum are included - this is NOT true. The company know this is incorrect information however do not tell you until you reach Plovdiv that you have to pay for those tickets yourself. Tried to contact Traventuria by e-mail however they did not provide a satisfactory explanation/resolution. Would not recommend.

Very well organized tour with a very nice guide Lyubomir. Boyana church is absolutely amazing, you can't skip it! Rila monastery is amazing mainly of its importance and history. Also the surroundings are outstanding.

These guys run an excellent service. I have used them for years to go back and forward from Bansko to Sofia. The vehicle is new, clean and reliable. The driver is poilite, courteos and helpful. I highly recomend their service if you're looking for a reliable transfer or tour company. excellent,

It was well organised with an animated guide who kept the energy going all day. The visit was all too brief but an excellent taster for a return visit in the future.

We arranged ski equipment hire and lift passes through Traventuria and I can totally recommend their excellent service. Should we visit Bulgaria again, we will definitely make use of their services.

Fantastic! We hired two skidoos and shared adult and child on each. A brilliant and exhilarating adventure for us all! We booked 5pm so it was dark and with the heavy snowfall we were treated to a movie scene experience riding through powder and tunnels made of trees. We were able to swap riders half way with lots of time for photos to remember the experience. Recommend this activity!

We travelled from Sofia to Bansko in one of their vans. It was a very good service, and the driver was very helpful and friendly. I forgot my phone when I left the vehicle upon arrival in Bansko and the driver came back quickly to deliver it back. Thank you !

We had the most amazing day. Our guide Lubo was knowledgeable, energetic, enthusiastic and friendly. He made the trip memorable. The driver Dimitri was professional and made sure we arrived safely.

Wonderful way to see more of Bulgaria and experience history and architecture. A good combination of group travel and solo wandering.

I did the Rila and st. Ivan cave today after the Rila Plovdiv tour was cancelled due to impossible roads between Rila and Plovdiv. The company did an excellent job communicating about the cancellation and I had no problem rebooking. Guide Liubomir was superb and driver Todor was excellent. Only suggestion is just doing this for Rila gives you a lot of down time at the monastery. I strongly, strongly recommend doing the Cave trip too.

It was a great day. I learned alot about the religious and governance history of Bulgaria. Activities were well-timed so we got explore as much on our own. I think our tour guide Liubomir (Lubo) was very personable. He seemed to love his job and so it showed in how the day went. The driver drove very carefully and safely too. I highly recommend this tour and Traventuria :)

8 hours of fun , recommended. Make sure you have cash . You will need it for lunch. Super nice tour guide also. Thank you for the whole day fun

Our guide very enthusiastic guide, Martin, masterfully lead a busload of over 50 passengers to visit the Boyana Church and the Rila Monastery. He was full of information about both sites which were stunning in their own way. Upon our return to Sofia he proceeded to provide further tips about what to see and experience in the city. It was obvious that he loves his country and enjoys sharing his knowledge with visitors. Thank you for a wonderful day Martin!

Fantastic day. Ludo and the driver were very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The coach was on time clean and comfortable. The monastery was beautiful and as advertised. However the toilets were not so good!!!!! Unless as a lady you are use to a hole in the ground be aware that’s what you get. Ludo did point us in the direction of the best ones but to be honest they weren’t great….. but an experience. Ludo was a brilliant guide and was very informative.the food from the bakery was very good and tasted lovely. The views at this time of the year are stunning, the colours were spectacular. Would use Travelturia again.

We did an eco tour version with electric van. Incredible driver guide. Its better than words alone can state, Just amazing. Personally you need an exceptional guide (Svet) to explain lots and especially a visit to museum. We stopped for a lovely place after the visit for lunch and the visited Boyane church on the way home which is just outside wonderful Sofia. Memorable day almost the equal of anything in 60 years of travelling.
