My trip to Bhutan with Acorn Tours and Travel and guide Norbu Gyeltshen was an amazing experience. Setting up the itinerary was easy with Acorn Tours owner Karma, and all details were well attended to and even on the go changes handled effortlessly, that sometimes happen when trekking. Accommodations provided were solid and comfortable. Norbu is an amazing guide and thoughtful in every way. He is so knowledgeable about Buddhism, the cultural and religious base of Bhutan, and on our hikes knew every flower, tree, bird and animal. A wealth of knowledge and highly experienced for high adventure in Bhutan. I would visit again in a heartbeat! Fantastical, magical, mystical, amazingly kind people, and stunning natural beauty at every turn. We had a wonderful and memorable tour through Bhutan. The combination of culture, nature, beautiful hikes and all the background about the Bhutanese tradition and religion that our guide (Sonam) gave us, was truly enriching. Our guide and driver took great care of us and made our trip an unforgettable experience.

I had an incredible experience traveling through Bhutan with Bhutan Acorn Tours. Karma was exceptionally responsive, accommodating my requests to customize the itinerary, hotels, and meals before my arrival. Everything went smoothly and exactly as planned once I got there. The highlight of the tour was connecting with my guide, Kezang, and her sister, Tashi, who was also my driver. They were both so kind and dedicated, working hard to create a truly memorable experience. Their warmth and effort solidified my belief that Bhutan is a place I’ll return to again and again.

This entire experience was unbelievable. I’d waited 16 years to make this happen and it surpassed my expectations in every way. The staff of Bhutan Acorn is the best! Our drivers, the Cook, camp support and our beloved guide, Lobzang, were genuinely kind, attentive, knowledgeable and took care of every detail. The tour was the perfect mix trek, culture and adventure. The scenery was as beautiful as the Bhutanese people, who made us feel like honored guests at the festival. 10/10 or 5/5 on this review. Had a wonderful time in Bhutan with Acorn Tours. My guides, Tashi and Tshring were very accommodating and knowledgeable about Bhutan. We had plenty of fun during our road trip and I would definitely book again with this company when I go back to Bhutan.

I cannot fault this tour at all . The customer service excellent, the itinerary fantastic. The standard of accommodation was wonderful, in particular the Home Stays. Our guide and driver were brilliant. Very good value for money.

The tour gives a very complete idea of Bhutan’s amazing landscape (lovely hikes), stunning culture (incredible temples) and wonderful people. We will cherish the memory of this journey , both our guide, Yeshi and our driver Zayeapa have been “treasure revealers”: We have discovered this beautiful country and it’s gentle, warm, welcoming people thanks to them. We could not have dreamt of better ambassadors than them to introduce us to Bhutan’s amazing culture. They went out of their way to organize it perfectly, always seemingly effortlessly, but with great professionalism, interesting information, friendliness, conversations and smiles all along the way. They really earned a place in our hearts.

Bhutan is a magical place ad we were very lucky to experience it on the Jomolhari Loop trek with Bhutan Acorn Tours. The trek itself is somewhat demanding so a good degree of fitness is recommended and we were somewhat unfortunate that the weather was not ideal for a few of the trekking days but that being siad the level of service given by Bhutan Acorn was excellent and this lead to us having a wonderful time. The guide Norbo, was excellent and Karma (the company owner) came along on the trek with us, which no doubt put pressure on the guides and help to ensure that everything went well. I was particularly surprised at the quality of the food we were provided with considering that it was always prepared in a 'field kitchen'. The excellent service continued once the trek was over and we spent a few days in both Paro and Thimphu. I could not recommend this tour company enough - if you are fortunate enough to be considering a trip to Bhutan use this company and be prepared to be completely amazed by the country and its people.

This trip to Bhutan is one of the highlights of my 2024 round-the-world trip. This tour included all of the key attractions in Bhutan that you’d want to see, plus some days in more remote areas such as the Phobjika valley which were stunning. My guide Pema and Driver Dema were exceptional. They were charming, knowledgeable, and truly made this experience feel like a home away from home. I can’t say enough good things about the experience I had and would highly recommend choosing Bhutan Acorn when planning your visit to Bhutan. I’ll be back again one day!

I cannot recommend this trip enough. It is for active hikers, but it is worth every step you take. If you get a chance, please request Tashi, he is one of the best guides out there. So happy and knowledgeable he really made us feel welcome. He taught us all about bhutan and buddism and how special this place really is. I cannot recommend this trip enough. It is worth every penny!

I would highly recommend Butan Acorn Tours and Travel. Form the start to finish Karma was excellent at amending the tour to suit your needs. Karma is diligent, friendly and trustworthy in all his interactions. Norbu my guide was a great person and had an excellent knowledge of Bhutanese/ Buddhist culture and history and was really friendly, respectful and enjoyable company, you could not get a better guide for Bhutan. Sonam, our driver, was a really nice person also who had great insights into local Bhutanese life as well as being very friendly and respectful. If you are thinking of booking a tour in Bhutan definitely choose Acorn Tours!

I had an amazing time on this tour. The tour guide (Sonam) and driver (Nidup) were incredibly friendly and made sure that my time was enjoyable and that I saw everything I wanted to see. The accommodations were great, the food was delicious and custom made to my tastes, and everyone I met was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend Acorn Bhutan travel and would love to return to Bhutan on another tour.

Our guide (Samdrup) was a very experienced and knowledgeable hiker in Bhutan and took us through many different trails with different amazing views of Bhutan. Our driver was also excellent - even though the roads were rather windy around the mountains, he drove steadily and safely, and always made a point to ensure the vehicle was tidied up/cleaned everyday. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of both our guide and driver, who were always cheerful, friendly and accommodating, while also respectful of when we needed time to ourselves or time to rest. Highly recommended.

Everything was great! My guide Sangay Choezom and the driver ( Dawa Zangmo) were great, very professional and knowledgeable. My itinerary was packed and we managed to see everything. They were flexible and customized my tour according to my needs and pace. All in all a great service!
