Celebrated photographer and environmentalist Ansel Adams immortalized Yosemite National Park in classic black and white images, returning to Yosemite to photograph the majestic landscape throughout his career. His work both expanded the popularity of of photography as a new art form and helped to inspire the environmental movement in the United States.
Meet your guide, a professional photographer, at The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite Village. From there, you'll walk to a number of locations where Adams composed some of his most famous images. View the same scene through your lens and learn how to improve your photography skills from your expert guide.
Expect to spend approximately four hours exploring different locations on foot, stopping frequently to make photographs and learn more about Ansel Adams' work. You'll follow mostly flat paved trails for a total of 2-3 miles (3-5 km).
At each stop, your guide explains the choices that Ansel made in regards to composition and lighting, and have time to take your own photographs. Your guide can provides individualized instruction to your small group, which has a maximum of 10 participants.
This tour is recommended for beginning to intermediate level photographers, and uses your own cameras or smart phones.

Hopefully you’ve figured this out by now but no, that is not a good plan. It takes 3 hours to get to the park and then longer once you are inside the park and it’s possible to encounter traffic in Oakland and in the park... More

You should definitely not count on being settled and available by 1 pm.
