- kikitan990 contributionsFun and interesting theme parkFun and beautiful cultural theme park. Ample parking spaces. Many food stalls with delicious authentic Japanese food. Many interesting shows to watch. The actors are amazing. They are all so into the roles and professional. It's a pity we were there late and only able to hang out for 2 hrs. Think one needs at least 3 hrs to fully enjoy the park. Totally worth visiting!Written 26 January 2024
- jkwellyn0 contributionsA trip to the Edo PeriodI was in Noboribetsu and saw this advertisement in a couple of places. I've been to Japan several times but most of my interests usually recover around more recent Japanese culture so I thought it would be interesting to check this out. Of course it's touristy, it is an amusement park after all but it's a beautiful recreation of a village during the Edo period. The ticket includes three live shows which are fun to watch and several amusements directed at children. I ended up spending 3.5 hours here. I did enjoy the live shows, I thought they were well done for what they were. They are campy because that was the style of Edo period shows. If you're looking for something different to do, the ticket price isn't very expensive for what you get. There is a bus that takes you here, I walked from my ryokan. My favorite was the ninja show and the dango shop because I love mochi. It was also snowing the day that I went so it felt like I was in a Kdrama.Written 21 December 2023
- zirconium110 contributionsFeels like a ghost town in end-NovArrived and paid 3300 yen for each adult ticket. Not much to look around except manage to catch two bowls of ramen at 980 yen each. Souvenirs are of limited range. Learnt a little about life during the Edo dynasty and more about ninja and their weapons. Most of the written explanations were in Japanese, and very brief were written in English. No other languages in sight to help other tourists to understand better. In and out of the place within 1.5 hour.Written 29 November 2023
- ckm8180 contributionsPicturesqueWe didn’t expect too much outdoor photography chance because we visited on a rainy day. Never mind. There are indoor exhibitions, gallery, shows for the family to spend time, and learn about the Edo period and Ninja. And to our surprise, this is a scenic garden with picturesque views. Rainy or sunny: you should keep this in your itinerary.Written 9 August 2023
- jajavalB0 contributionsEdo -period theme park, villagesThemed park about ancient cutural life of japan in Edo period, it needs at least 3 hours for exploring all its entertainmdnt available there, including Ochiran, Geisha comedy performance Samurai performance znd Ninja performance. There are amusement shows , such as trick house, haunted cat, japanese ghost houses. Souvenir shops, traditional japanese snack, ramen, warabi mochi, softcream etc.Written 6 May 2023
- Bob L0 contributionsSmall, compact but entertainingNot a big place and not much to do, however the shows are quite entertaining and it is a good place for a show afternoon and to learn about the Edo culture and history of Hokkaido. there is also food available and you can have ramen and other snacks, and buy souvenirs home. It is located not far from the Hell's Valley and the Nixe Marine Park so you can do all of them in the sames day. It is best to watch all 3 shows to learn more and to be entertained (3 shows, 3 different themes). You are allowed to take videos and photos but no flash. You can also rent the Japanese costumes there if that is your thing.Written 20 April 2023
- yosoymach0 contributionsAverageArchitecture is nice, based on the Edo period. Certain attractions are basic, animatronics don't have English translations. Food is below average. Would I recommend it? No you're better of seeing other places unless you are a hardcore fan of this period.Written 30 December 2019

- H9028GFbrianr0 contributionsA tour from a Cruise ship.We booked this tour to give us an idea of Japan in the Edo period and were not disappointed. It is not a large park and has some quite kitschy displays but the Ninja shows were very good. One was on an outside stage with leaping and flying Ninjas and the other was inside and was entertaining. The other show was a narrated play all in Japanese but the narrator was so expressive that we followed along nicely. The only problem with show was the audience sat on the floor and a lot of old knees complained when it was time to stand up. A good but basic experience.Written 24 May 2019

- Moe Z0 contributionsA Pleasant & Interesting Day TourWe had a pleasant & interesting day at this attraction arranged by Hokkaido Natural Tours during our trip to Sapporo. To see & experience Traditional Japanese Culture in a Historically created environment was worth a visit. Oiran & Ninja shows were also entertaining, well provided facilities of restaurants, sovenir shops & rest rooms are an added comfort.Written 23 April 2019

- Shikin_Gia0 contributionsnew experience and nice place.1)we drove here with our rental car, and used installed GPS to reach here. 2) it was on low season there that time so it was easy to find parking space and there were not many visitors so it was pleasant to enjoy this place and we could take our time to take pictures here. 3) we bought ticket online. 5) this place let you experience edo period in Japan and learn their culture through the geisha show, ninja show and the infrastructure around there. the best part was the time where you can throw japan coin to the stage everytime a show ended as it is a culture they practice in edo period as a sign of gratitude for the performers. i learn new things here about Japan other than the big mega building in tokyo and their technology.Written 19 February 2019

A must go when you are in this area.
Though its more of a touristy theme park, you do feel like you are transported back in time to historical japan.
The staff there are all dressed in period clothings and lots of eductional spots around the park on different aspects of historical japan.
There is a place to rent clothes for appox 20min duration at 35,000 to 47,000 yen depending on package. Quite a good place for photoshoots amid the garden and villiage styled background.
There are 3 types of shows in winter (samurai, oiran, ninja) and one extra outdoor show in the other seasons. Overall oiran and ninja shows must not be missed.
There are some food outlets in the park as well, selling ramen, udon, soba and dango. Reasonably priced too.

Nice incursion on the way to the bear farm, if you have time on the way from Sapporo to Noboreibetsu it’s worth the stop, it’s basically a reconstruction of shops and houses from Edi period with shows to be performed every hour.

We visited this park with taxi from our hotel. You will have to ask the front office to call a taxi going home. However there is bus stop regularly coming to this park. Should check the schedule ahead.
The park with comedy, theatrical open space ninja shows are good to go. The conversation are all in japanese, abit hard to follow for foreigners without japanese skills
We tried the maze. Amazing. A bit light headed at the shaking room. A must try maze experience. If you are not brave, tried it with groups of friends.

My nine-year-old son rated this theme park as the best part of our trip to Hokkaido.
He super loved the two ninja shows (one indoors and one outdoors). Both were fun and action-packed. They gave out laminated sheets in English summarising the story for the indoor show, but we couldn't understand the dialogue. It didn't matter though, the action on its own was entertaining.
However, skip the culture show if you don't understand Japanese because it consisted of live interaction between a host and a selected member of the audience. We couldn't understand a thing and left halfway.
Another super fun part of the park is the ninja maze, which is a house containing a series of trick doors, traps, and slanted floors designed to make you confused. It was so good, we went through it many rounds. The ninja resource centre, which contained information about ninjas, was also really informative and worth a look.
There was also a horror house, which combined moving, animatronic ghouls and demons with special effects and lighting (quite fun), and a cat house, which contained the same, but in the form of cats.
There are several eateries in the park and to my surprise, the prices of food weren't exorbitant and the food was actually quite tasty.
my son also enjoyed being able to rent a ninja outfit and roaming the park with it. (ninja sandals at extra cost. Swords sold separately.)
Overall, this theme park is really quite fun for those with kids. And even for those without kids but who are interested in ninjas.

Surprisingly interesting and fun. I thought it would be touristy and cheesy but it was actually interesting and fun. Staff and friendly and show a lot of pride in what they do. Highly recommended.

Please reply soonest possible how we can get the Senior discount price, and also is there a GROUP discount for 8 senior ladies travelling on a tight retirees' budget?
Thank you.
