Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport Or Arusha City and transfer to the Hotel

Pass By: Arusha Village Experience, Arusha Tanzania
Meet upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or any other close point, after greetings, depart driving to Arusha. After a warm welcome and checking in at Karama Lodge, you will relax on this unique place, you have the swimming pool at your disposal, residents bar or the lobby. This evening we will meet for the briefing for the Safari ahead. Dinner and overnight at Karama Lodge Set on the back side of Kijenge Hill in the rush of Acacia trees.
NOTE: In the evening of your first day, before enjoying Diner together, our professional Safari Guides will introduce themselves and excite you with some details of the Journey ahead. Ecopsychologist and Naturalist, Mandy Young will share her story and how your life can be transformed and inspired by the wild animals and tribal people we meet, and the dolphins we will see and swim with in Zanzibar.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania
After a relaxed breakfast depart driving to Lake Manyara National Park. This 130 kilometers drive will give you an opportunity to see the country side, you will stop at various curio shops and the Local market at Mto wa Mbu. Lunch will be provided at Lake Manyara Tortilis Luxury Tented Camp. After lunch we will enjoy a relaxed discussion group with Mandy before departing for an afternoon game drive into Lake Manyara National Park. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and birdlife. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favoured haunt of Manyaras legendary tree- climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants. Sometimes you will see squadrons of banded mongoose dart between the acacias while the diminutive Kirks dik dik forage in then shade. Pairs of klipspringer are often seen silhouetted on the rocks. In the far south of the park there are searing hot springs that steams and bubble adjacent to the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Tortilis Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 3: Lake Mayara to Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park Tanzania
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park. Stop briefly at the Olduvai Gorge, the site of Leakeys family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. We will take a break in the Gorge to enjoy some time to reflect with Mandy. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Early man himself made an appearance in Olduvai Gorge about two million years ago. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Luxury Tented Camp.
Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back.

Day 4: Game Drive Day

Stop At: Serengeti National Park Tanzania
Full Day game drive in Serengeti National Park. All meals provided and overnight at Serengeti Tortilis Luxury Camp. Our time together with Mandy today will take place while relaxing after lunch.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Early in the Morning we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival you will descend 2000ft from the rim of the crater down into 'her belly' the crater in a 4wheel drive vehicle. We will spend the entire day exploring the 8,300 sq km Ngorogoro Crater. which is referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania boasts a blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeology that is unsurpassed in Africa. The volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls and mountain forests are home to an abundance of animals and to the Masai. We enjoy a picnic lunch in the park followed by our daily chat with Mandy. In the evening ascend to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Tortilis Luxury Tented Camp

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi

Stop At: Lake Eyasi, Karatu Tanzania
After breakfast, we will drive to the shores of the seasonal Lake Eyasi. We arrive in time for lunch at the Tindiga Tented lodge.
Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake. After being inspired by these tribes who live successfully alongside Nature we drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Kudu Lodge. Before Diner while enjoying a sundowner we will have some time to reflect on the day
with Mandy.

Day 7: Karatu/Arusha to Zanzibar

Stop At: Stone Town, Zanzibar City Tanzania
After breakfast drive to Arusha. Lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. Later in a day proceed to Arusha Airport for a scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport you will be transferred to the Stone Town. A relaxed evening on the Indian Ocean Beach will be followed by dinner and overnight at Tebo Hotel.

Day 8: Stine town and Spice Tour

Stop At: Stone Town, Zanzibar City Tanzania
After breakfast you will be guided for a stone town tour, taking you through the narrow historical city. Lunch at the Hotel is followed by our daily opportunity to reflect with Mandy and integrate the sights, sounds and smells of Spice Town into something that enriches our lives. Later in the evening you will board a boat to the prison Island to see the huge land tortoise aged above 500 years, few remaining peacocks, Snorkelling is possible on this place. Later in the evening cruise back with the sunset view. Dinner and overnight at Tembo Hotel.

Day 9: Stone Town to Kizimkazi Zanzibar

Stop At: Kizimkazi Mosque, Zanzibar City Tanzania
In the morning we drive through Stone town to he south of Zanzibar. Enroute we stop briefly at Jozani Forest for a Tour to see the few remaining red colobus moneys. After the tour we have some time to reflect and chat with Mandy. We then proceed to Kizimkazi and lunch at Unguja Lodge, where we will also overnight and enjoy Diner.

Stop brieflt at this place full of few remaining red collubus monkeys found in Zanzibar.

Day 10: Kizimkazi to Zanzibar Airport

Stop At: Zanzibar Airport Transfers, Vuga Rd Vuga Street, Zanzibar City 0223 Tanzania
We wake early and after a quick wake-up coffee and a snack we board the boat to see and swim with the dolphins. We return to the Lodge for breakfast, a final group discussion with Mandy. Sadly our time together is over as we transfer you back to Zanzibar Airport for your onward flight back home. End of our services.
